There were a couple of evenings where we were on our own and he agreed to take us on the bus and pick us up. This was not part of his job but he went out of his way to help. In addition your Havana representative came to meet us on two occasions, once at the beginning of the trip and once at the end she came by our hotel to say hi. Cheapest place to get visas, $85 if you pick up on site. My reasons for taking off 2 stars: It was very confusing to find this place. Yelp says its suite 205, it's actually suite 250. It is located inside of a black/grey building, which shares a parking lot w a hotel. It took me 20 minutes to find the correct place due to staff giving me bad directions. They lost Money on their charter flights when the US commercial flights to Cuba started. Now they recoup their losses selling Cuban visas for all of the commercial airlines going to Cuba. Cuba Travel Services will misinform you that Cuba only accepts their specific visas, which cost $100 (for reference, the visa in Cuba or Mexico costs $25). For evidence, CTS has a printout of a letter supposedly written by the Cuban embassy. There is nothing indicating that this letter is actually from the Cuban embassy, and Cuban immigration knows nothing about this. The gate agents believe what CTS tells them, since most of them have never been to Cuba. You can't get on the flight unless you buy one of their visas. Total scam. read more

I got an immediate response at first, then no response, no email responses...somehow we got forgotten; then forgotten and ignored again. Then, suddenly an agent became interested and started working on our trip only to tell us that everything was booked and it was hard to get reservations. Of course. I never should have been patient with them...but they had such good reviews. They lost our faxed documents and our emailed documents. This place is horrible!! The costumer service is horrendous. I took a group of High School students on a trip to Cuba. That part went well. However when I returned and tried to get information I needed for future travel I was met with rudeness and zero help. A customs agent told me that they MUST give you the info I requested and that any reputable travel agency will have it on file for 5 years.The trip might go well but once they have your money don't expect any help. We booked a last minute trip to Cuba and arrived at LAX to be greeted by American Airlines' representatives that had ZERO clue on what we needed to do to be "Cuba Ready" and have permission to board our flight. Our family of four used Cuba Travel Services to visit Havana, Vinales, Trinidad, and Varadero this February. We were very satisfied with our guide, driver, and lodgings. Cuba is a fascinating place with delightful people, art and music. Our low rating derives from the lack of proper coordination for our flights from Seattle to Miami and from Miami to Havana. Returning from Havana to Miami, we had only an hour to claim our bags, make it through customs and check in for our Seattle flight. This was nowhere near enough time. We spent 2 days in the Miami airport trying to get back to Seattle. Gema at Cuba Travel Services has refused to take any responsibility for this inadequate layover or to offer us any compensation for the expenses we incurred. read more

This applies to the New York office & process. I would have given CTS five stars, however getting in contact with them proved to be somewhat difficult as the NYC office is only open on Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday. When you call the main number, you are not directed to this specific office right away. Once you get in contact with the office however, the staff is super professional and airport check in is super efficient. I submitted my paperwork and within a day, I was invoiced and placed on a flight from NYC to Havana and on a flight from Havana to Miami, as the New York flights only fly out on Friday. The check in process at the airport is as efficient as it can be. It is important to be there around check in time to allow yourself time to get through security. At the first "station", you pick up your tickets & insurance and any other travel documents and then continue onto the second station where you weigh your bags and check them if necessary. The third station is where you pay for any applicable baggage. From what I read on Yelp after booking with them as they are the only company with the direct flights out of New York, I was a little nervous. They proved me wrong. I have heard about different check in processes for other cities, but the NY office seems to have it together. read more
