Horrible experience. 100% would not recommend !!…read more They did not properly wrap my stuff and caused damage but didn't want to take responsibility for it after and tried to push liability. Took a huge L. Stay away unless you're ok with risking taking high risk for their negligence.

I experienced the worst move ever with this company. Also, they have refused, short of a lawsuit,…read moreto resolve the issues that resulted in my rating. We moved on March 9, 2022. During the move floors were unprotected and gouged and scratched and walls were also scratched and gouged. A 3 piece wall unit was ripped apart without the connecting bolts removed. In addition, 2 of the 6 glass doors were broken. A dryer and freezer were both damaged and the freezer stopped working. Parts were left anywhere. For example, 2 futons were taken apart. At the new house futon parts were found in the garage, some in the kitchen and others in the basement. Shelves to a bookcase were not found. Trash was left behind in our yard after they left. This is not a comprehensive list, just the major highlights. I filed a claim, and almost 4 months later here are the results. The damages to floors and walls cost over $1600 to fix. They offer $0 to repair. The bookcase cost $1100 30 years ago, and $7000 to replicate. They offer $850. The freezer reimbursement offer was $60. I elected $10,000 insurance, but you see the results of my claim submission. Here is Moving Ahead's last reply to me: If you still do not find our current offer to be acceptable, the next step would be to begin the arbitration procedure, as outlined in the documentation you have already received. If you have any questions regarding this process, I would be happy to assist in any way possible.. Thank you, Steven Mutter General Manager T: (513) 591-9818 movingaheadservices.com The character of any company is evident in how they respond when they make a mistake. You judge for yourself. In fact, when he called to confirm the day before my move, I explained how I hoped to be done early in the day due to a family event in the afternoon. He responded by saying he actually had a crew that could move me in a few hours. I jumped on it and the crew - Germain, D.J., and Mike couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. The move took less time than estimated and everything arrived safely and was placed where I wanted it. I would be happy to use them again!

If you're wondering why this company has so many glowing reviews, read on to learn about the…read moreunethical threats, intimidation, and bribery used by the owner, Clark. If not for the owner's behavior, this would be a five-star review. Bruce and Ryne, the two movers who showed up, were phenomenal--professional, respectful, and tireless. They worked quickly but carefully, took only one short break, and kept positive attitudes through an exhausting fourteen-hour day. They were the bright spot in an otherwise dark experience. We chose Clark & Sons because their website emphasizes "strength in unity," professionalism, and care. Sadly, none of those values were reflected in how we were treated. Our written quote clearly stated $189 per hour for a three-man crew and one truck to move our three-bedroom home about twenty-five miles. On October 11, only two movers arrived at 9:15 a.m. They immediately called the company to report they needed help. We overheard multiple calls throughout the day asking for assistance, yet no one was ever sent. Because there were only two movers instead of three, the job took from 9:15 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. At the end of the night, Ryne called the owner, Clark, to discuss payment and handed the phone to my husband. My husband first praised Bruce and Ryne for their hard work, then raised the issue of the missing third mover. Clark's response was hostile, abusive, and threatening. He called us "thieves," said he was driving to Indianapolis and would "turn his car around" to come to our house to "embarrass us in front of our neighbors", and physically attack my husband. When my husband confronted him about his behavior, Clark threatened to call the sheriff. His aggression destroyed any sense of trust. We refused to provide our credit card number, fearing he might overcharge us, and instead requested a secure payment link like the one used for our deposit. Five days later, on October 16 around 11 p.m., my husband began receiving repeated calls from 513-264-2622. When he finally answered, the same man admitted it was him--the same Clark who had threatened us--and said he was "frustrated that day." He then demanded that my husband make me remove a review, even though I had not written one. When my husband refused, Clark continued calling--**six times between 10:49 and 11:04 p.m.--**and finally texted: "If you get that review removed, I'll give you $1,000 right now." Screenshots confirm both the quote and the repeated calls. Sadly, the harassment has continued with more calls today. And so NOW I am writing a review. We've moved many times, across states and even internationally, and have never experienced such unethical and threatening conduct from a moving company--let alone from its owner. Adding to the irony, Clark & Sons promotes itself as a Christian, family-owned business. Their trucks display Bible verses and crosses, and they advertise in the Christian Blue Pages under the phrase "Strength in Unity." I end with one of my favorite verses: "By their fruit you will recognize them." -- Matthew 7:16

I could see that the guys were trying very hard to be careful not to ding my walls, and they didn't. They had to take apart a large roll-top desk in order to get it upstairs where they reassembled it. The salesperson from AWVS lied to us about key aspects of our move. * Moving on 8/9/23 from Cincinnati, ONE person showed up over four hours late, at 1:00 pm, to move all of our possessions from our 2,300 square foot home into an ENTERPRISE box truck * our condo sales contract specified we had to be out of the condo that day because the new owners were closing on ownership the next day with immediate occupancy * the evening of 8/9/23 the ENTERPRISE box truck broke down before our goods were completely out of the sold condo. We were officially trespassing at that point * on 8/10/23 we had to hire 2 men at our own expense to move furniture remaining in the sold condo out of the condo * The items were temporarily stored in the parking garage in a parking spot we no longer had a right to occupy * The driver rented a U-Haul truck and loaded those items onto it. The items were then transferred from the U-Haul to the broken down Enterprise box truck * Our goods spent TWO NIGHTS on a desolate, downtown Cincinnati street behind our building with only a hardware store padlock for protection * On Friday the truck was TOWED to a repair shop with our possessions remaining in the truck * Our goods spent THREE NIGHTS in thein the repair shop at which point they were covered with a coat of soot * Our goods were moved to another filthy ENTERPRISE box truck because the original ENTERPRISE truck could not be repaired quickly * When the truck arrived in Annapolis on 8/16 we saw the most glaring damage to numerous large pieces of furniture * We ended up getting over $10,000 paid to us in verified damage claims. * Now it is up to us to repair/replace the damaged goods * Not to be minimized was the amount of stress and anguish caused to us by National Van Lines due to this very poorly managed move
