They did bring most of the large, heavy stuff but took NONE of the boxes. Now I am left to empty half of a 10x25 unit in MANY trips in my car. Not only that, but one of the movers spent a lot of time trying to get out a splinter (using tweezers that I offered) and using the bathroom and the other guy stood around waiting for him. This caused me to be charged for an extra hour. I'm grateful for what they did, but it wasn't as much as I was expecting. I'm older and on a limited budget so I went with the lower priced option because she said they would handle it, but they didn't and now my arthritic knees and back are paying for it.

Also, I have a daughter who I've had to move many times while she was completing her BA, post-back and Masters' degrees, I've had plenty of experience moving and hiring movers. In the last 20 years, I've had to hire movers more then 20 times. I can honestly say, I've only had 2 really bad experiences - the first one was last year with Imperial Movers located in Brooklyn and CT Moving Helpers located in Connecticut. CT Moving Helpers LLC. are very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I sent a quote request from their website and later spoke to Sean (the owner of CT Moving Helpers) several times on the phone. I told Sean that the apartment management required company insurance, permits and licenses from the state business is registered in. He claimed they were a legitimate company with full proof of documentation and he would have his office manager Angela take care of it. They quoted what I thought was a reasonable price for a local move and said they would email all the documentation to confirm the move date I requested as soon as we finished the call. I patiently waited that day, the next day, and the following day, but I did not receive an email from CT Moving Helpers. Sean sounded very eager to take the job, promising to have the best prices and services. I waited 4 days, and did not hear back from them - no emails, no calls. I sent an email and called both numbers (left several messages) and I received NO REPLIES. I never heard back from them! CT Moving Helpers JUST LEFT ME HANGING!!!! If they did not want the job or could not do the job, they could have let me know. This would have given me more time to search for another moving company. Don't let this happen to you! Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with fly-by night, illegitimate, so-call businesses that really don't know the meaning of doing a professional job or conducting themselves in a professional manner. Pay the extra few dollars if you have to, to get a legitimate company to move you belongings and help make your move less stressful.
