They get you in the door with a promo offer and then when the promo expires, they jack the rent up to an insane rate. We went from 125.00 a month to 181.00 for the same little space. I stated looking for a new storage company as soon as I received the notification and found a great spot, with a larger space, for a fraction of the cost in Shoreline. Unless you can afford the price hike, stay away from this place.

I just got a postcard (!!) in the mail from them saying they are raising the rate 57% starting in 20 days. This is despite the fact that everything else I have done with them (including signing the rental agreement) has been done online and I have an account with their online portal. They have not sent an email, put a notification in my online account, or otherwise contacted me. They are clearly hoping people will throw away the postcard assuming it is junk mail and not be aware of the absurd increases. Oh and did I mention that the postcard has a "notification date" of 1/28/26 but was clearly not sent out that day as I did not receive it until 2/16/26. Would absolutely not recommend these con artists.

It was that cheesy really bad smell that was in there for the 6 months I rented; it never went away. The opening times are inconvenient for someone who works all day. In short: look for a better and serious company; the only nice thing I can say is that the toilet was clean and that the guys working there were nice overall. Icing on the cake! The building is old, the customers seem.. worn but who cares? They don't have theft issues and I only need it for a short time. When touring units, the representative first showed me a fully intact unit, then offered to show one with a large hole in the wall (approximately 2 ft x 2 ft) but initially could not recall the lock code. After returning from the office, a different code was provided for an adjacent unit before the correct code for the damaged unit (F404) was eventually used during lease signing. I also purchased the optional $15/month text alert service for motion notifications, but received no response to calls or texts when alerts were triggered. Follow-up complaints were met with limited resolution, and attempts to reach higher management proved difficult: the 877 customer service line provided an incorrect number for the regional manager, and no contact information was available for further escalation. Additionally, the local office line (206.776.2105) resulted in extended hold times. Based on this experience, I recommend considering other options such as Public Storage, located less than a mile away at 2811 NW Market St, Seattle, WA 98107. I didn't even notice the second hole until uploading this photo...

There are currently 120sq ft units listed at $156/month. If you are 6 days late, you face a fee of $44. If you are 30 days late, they begin the auction process in which case you have to pay a $200 fee. They are more interested in getting you in cheap, raising your rate quick and forcing evictions for quick turn around. As the manager told me, "Storage isn't meant to be a long term thing, you're only supposed to be here for a few months. We have people with the same size unit as you that have been here for years that are paying $400-500".

I have been using Mini Max Storage for several years. I have tried several methods of payment thru…read moremy bank, but all too frequently the payments do not get credited to my account, so I am often charged late fees. My bank records show clearly that payments have been made on time 100% of the time. I have talked with the on-site manager who only suggests the problem is with my bank. When I asked for the phone number of the business owner, he responded "I'm not going to give you that." Out of frustration, I'm moving my storage to another facility.
