I moved my business out of Cubework over four months ago. They told me they would pay my security deposit back in 30-45 days. According to their accounting department, the check was processed in early May, and now they are waiting for it to be mailed? Not sure how it takes over two months to mail something? I have sent countless emails. No one is available by phone. My next step is small claims court. read more

Do NOT rent space from this company unless you're prepared to spend months chasing them for your security deposit. It has been over three months since I moved out, and I still have not received my deposit refund. Every time I call or email, I get the same response: "ASAP," "we're waiting for confirmation," or "Accounting is reviewing it." This is not a complicated issue. It's simply a security deposit refund check. Yet they continue to delay, provide no specific refund amount, and refuse to give a definite mailing date. If I had not continued following up, I seriously wonder whether anything would have happened at all. Extremely disappointing experience and very poor handling of tenant deposits. read more

The loading docks are convenient for shipping and receiving. There a post office close by that comes to pick up and deliver packages daily. It's well worth the price for the convenience plus the use of the dining area and clean restrooms are a big bonus. They have many different size units for whatever size operation you are running and it's easy to upgrade. Spaces have filled up fast since I've been here. Contacted them for 1100 sq feet for my start up. The monthly price they quoted was reasonable and I was preparing to move forward. Then they tell me it will be 4 months of a deposit to move in. Mind you I have 700+ credit score and ten years of business experience. I asked if the deposit covered first and last months and was told it was only a deposit that they would hold until we ended our lease. So to be clear, for 1100 sq ft, they wanted 3200+first month and insurance. Over 4000 dollars to move in and get started and they would simply hold 3200 of that for however long I was there. I have never seen a lease structured with first month plus 4 months. 4 months mind you that get you nothing out of, no ROI on the 4 months of deposit. Before you waste several hours of your time jumping through their hoops, just find a local warehouse space and move in there. Such a huge disappointment. As my momma always told me " if it sounds to good to be true, it likely is". That is this company in a nutshell. read more

Store your stuff here if you want to get it stolen. The team is unprofessional and unresponsive. One time we found a guy in our unit, we had to literally chase after him to find out he was working for Cubeworks and "measuring" out the units. He did not enter or escape from the door, he just slid through the metal sheets that act as walls. They moved our unit, without our consent. After the move, we had other people's stuff in our unit and some racks missing. For some reason, cameras do not point to our unit. These were racks that went missing, not some small items. How in the world do you lose a bunch of beams. The staff was no help in finding what happens. Kept giving us the run around that they sent the video, then the file was too big and then finally sends us a video not pointing into our unit. Pretty sure they put the racks to another unit and probably charged that unit for it. If they're this petty, imagine if you have something of value in there. Bottom line, if you store anything here and are gone, be prepared for things to go missing. read more

I first was super impressed by their concept. I thought Cubework was the perfect option for our start-up business. I was WRONG! The team is super unprofessional, inconsiderate, and only there to pocket your money with no concern of what's best for their client. I had a scheduled tour on August 26, 2021 at their Vernon location. Wasn't too impressed with the condition of the offices, bathroom, and workspace. The website description & photos almost serve as false advertisement. Within the day of my visit, I had requested an application as we needed an immediate warehouse/Office space. Here we are 3+ weeks later with little to no communication of where we stand or if the application was approved. 1. Lucas had asked for a first month + 2 month deposit, coming out to a total of closer to $8k. This is a rare ask for a month-month lease option, but we agreed. 2. Lucas had told me that we can move in on September 1st, with the hidden fact that they still haven't determined if you want more than $8k as the initial security deposit payment. Meaning that he wanted us to set-up and then ask for higher deposit, once we were move in. We've now lost 3+ weeks and have to begin looking for another alternative space. The coworking place of hell. Unorganized, disgusting, and cheap. Stay away from this place and find an office or WFH. The sales people provide bias rates and take advantage of desperate small business owners needing a workspace. My experience at the El Monte location that they recently had to closed down because the idiot builder decided to make the walk ways so narrow that you barely had room to operate a forklift...which was a huge fire hazard. Upon building the units they shuffled through everyone's stuff, broke their pad locks, almost every business had something lost or damaged. Terrible place. read more
