It's amazing how they can train the horses to do things and sometimes some of the horses don't want to corroborate but they help the horse to stay focus. Also the music is played live with the guitar, violin & the singing(I believe). The seats were really good better then concert seating with much more room. Any where you sit you have a great view. If you do sit all the way in the front you might get wet. Also they had bathrooms outside. They did have some portable bathrooms but they also had a trailer which was really nice bathrooms, with a sink inside. Bought tickets on Groupon. Saved a few bucks. Also you do have to pay for parking, it's $15. Definitely worth coming to see this show!

We ended up waiting outside in cold, rainy weather because the powers that be decided to add 200 VIP seats but didn't plan for it! Due to scheduling conflicts we could not return another night, so we were stuck waiting in line as we watched the General Admission folks walk right in. Once inside the VIP tent, and finally receiving your VIP lanyard, there were more lines for the bars and buffet. So why the 5 star rating? Because the show is spectacular!! To witness these beautiful animals and so talented individuals perform is like slowly watching a memorable dream unfold... I have to agree with past reviews, and can't really add to the awe you will experience during the performance.. As if the performance is not enough, there is live music all around. Phenomenal voices, gifted musicians, matching mood lighting.. truly a wonderful evening.. So , In closing, someone at Cavalia needs to review the VIP experience. Don't let a black eye slowly be the one thing that attendees share with everyone else. If I was one of the 200 people who ended up paying VIP prices for seats that were GA before only to wait in the cold rain, I'd be really upset.. unfortunately, I was one of the poor saps that purchased 4 prime seats months ago. There really is no bad seat. The smaller ballparks provide an up close experience at a more affordable price point than during the season. While you could pay for parking at the venue, I'm not about that life, so I found parking in the residential neighborhood that's close to the Park. It took me about 10-15 minutes to walk over. First off, let's talk about the main purpose of Sloan Park: spring training for the Chicago Cubs. I know spring training is a big deal in Phoenix, but I was impressed with how nice this stadium is. It may not have the history of Wrigley Field but it's a super nice venue. As far as the festival experience, everything was smooth. The grounds were well maintained, getting in and out was relatively easy, and I didn't run into any issues. Exactly what you're looking for when you attend a music festival. I'll have to stop by for a spring training game next time around!

I also like ordering my snacks for pickup right before the movie so that I can just walk in and grab them - no need to stand in line. Some of the theater rooms have tables that swivel out from the chairs - this is gamechanging for when you have multiple snacks to hold. I don't think all the rooms have them though, but it was a very pleasant surprise the first time I saw them. I also love that the aisles are very spaced out and the height between each one is enough that you don't get peoples heads in the way if theyre in front of you. You get a clear view of the screen from every aisle. One time I went to a first screening of the day at 9:30am and the theater is advertised as opening at 9am, but the staff didn't unlock the front lobby doors until around 9:15. The other people there and I were a bit confused, but generally the staff is kind. Theaters and restrooms are clean!

I have attended the event 3 times, each at a different locations in the valley. The first time at Tempe Beach Park, then in Phoenix at Steele Indian School Park and now at Sloan Park in Mesa. This year was great because of the location. Sloan Park is the perfect venue for the festival. There is plenty of space, places to sit down, shade if you want it, and tons upon tons of salsa vendors with room to grow! Tickets are $15 dollars the the gate on the day of the event. I got tickets for just under $10 - thanks to Groupon. Salsa contestants can enter in three different categories - mild, hot, and "anything goes". So as an attendee you can expect to sample salsas ranging the spectrum: smoky chipotles, fruity ones featuring mango, pineapple, and even cranberry salsa, too. As well as, salsas that are so hot you'll swear your face could melt off - save those few for the bravest among your group. To enjoy all the salsa samplings, you get access to an unlimited supply for chips brought to you by friendly volunteers at the chip stations located throughout the event. I'd recommend bringing an extra $1 to purchase a tray for your chips and salsa. It'll be one of the best investments you'll make all day. I was too busy trying over 40 salsa vendors, but the event also offers a morning 5k Run, Margarita Mix-Off, Music Stage, and Kids Zone if you need even more activities to enjoy.
