Wow, what can I say. I was here for the superbowl and I had an amazing time. I ordered the Jalen hurts burger and it was an mvp performance by the chef. I also had the cooper dejean fries which were delicious I PICKED through it so fast I could've ate 6 of them. Although the place was awfully quiet for most of the game, I enjoyed my time.

Amazing service & entertainment!! If you love a dark moody punk vibe and LED lights this bar is for you! Got to see DAYTRIPPERS last night and it was amazing! I definitely recommend this place for anyone!

Looking at the stage from the bar. Merchandise sales going down on the left.

Came down here to support my boy Adam and his band, Western Settings! Couple of things........... - Huge lot, free parking. Strip mall type place. - Drinks? Not sure...my buddy gave me a bottle of water. Saw a lot of PBR tall cans floating around though. - Sound was pretty good. I was right up near the stage so the speakers were pretty loud. Probably would have sounded better near the back of the bar. Still...not bad. Decent sized floor to mingle near the stage. - Western Settings- Dope as FUCK! Based out of San Diego, but they come to Phoenix/Scottsdale every now and then. If you have a chance to see them, do it. Had a great time seeing my buddy perform. I could totally see myself coming back here to catch some live music and/or to just chill. Not far off the 202 near Tempe Marketplace on Hayden. Good times!

Nice spot to see any band okay. Anywhere you sit or stand is a great view of the stage. Came to see the Jacks and Wade Coda play.

I love this place! Always book great music! Love when my guys of Adelitas Way perform there! Service is usually fairly good and quick.

Sunday night beers with good friends!

Every time I'm in Scottsdale this bar is always the one I go to, the employees and owner are more than welcoming with a friendly conversation and smile ear to ear. The atmosphere and activities like pool, darts and karaoke on Tuesday nights are always filled with entertainment, I would recommend this bar to anyone that's a die hard chiefs fan or new to town and wants to have a drink and make lifetime long friendships.

It was my lucky day! Craving for a beer after a stressful day (what else would heal stress better…read morethan a beer? jk!!) and found a street parking spot right outside Goldwater. I took it as a sign. It was meant to be. I immediately sat down, closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and left work behind. The AC came on at the perfect time. I cool down with a cup of water first, and explored the menu. Probably because of my defeated and exhausted look, the bartender came straight to me. I ordered the sour from their rotating menu. I appreciate the attentiveness of her, but also appreciated that she let me be during the visit. Seems like there were some usual guests there, so they were chatting away. I also left with a few cans of beer to-go. I love that they have a fully stocked fridge for the to-go needs!

While it's not in the heart of Old Town, it's within walking distance. We stopped by on a Thursday around 9:30 p.m. While we were on foot, I noticed that they have a parking lot. Ambiance (4/5): Relatively small for a brewery, but your typical chill, brewery vibes. They have some seats at the bar, some high tops, and a small patio. We sat out on the patio since the weather was nice. The seats out there are a bit uncomfortable, but we couldn't pass up on patio weather. They have free water in the corner which is always a plus so you don't have to wait in line. Service (5/5): The bartender working was super nice. It's always appreciated when servers go above and beyond in providing a great experience. He was friendly, efficient, and attentive. I couldn't have asked for more in my service experience at Goldwater. He exceeded my expectations. Food (N/A): I already ate previously so no food for me. There was a Mexican food truck in the parking lot. Drinks (4/5): I love trying local brews. At breweries, I typically get a flight so I can try out a variety of beers. This time though, I went with a pint. I couldn't say no to the Sour Rangers. I grew up watching the Power Rangers, so that was all the motivation I needed. An added bonus was that this beer is a sour. Not something you have every day, nor a style of beer that you come across very often. So I had to take advantage of the opportunity. And it was a good one. Goldwater is my type of place. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

The Rooster has an upscale dive bar feel with a welcoming vibe and eclectic décor that makes it feel both fun and comfortable. After that, I asked what other frozen drinks were on the menu and was told about the frozen orange creamsicle with vodka. Of course, I had to try it and wow, it was fantastic! Refreshing, citrusy, and perfect for a warm day. We had already eaten lunch, so we only stopped in for drinks, but all of the food coming out of the kitchen looked great. We did order the fried pickles to share, and they were very good. Instead, we were publicly embarrassed and treated like criminals for absolutely no reason. After we were seated, I closed the curtain because the table next to us was loud and obnoxious. Minutes later, the manager, Hannah, walked over and decided our entire group was "too intoxicated" to be served. Not a single person in our group was causing a scene, being disrespectful, or acting out of control. We were sitting at our table, ordering dinner. What makes this even more ridiculous is that after taking our drink order, Hannah personally brought out three green tea drinks in champagne glasses. Then, almost immediately afterward, she decided we were somehow too intoxicated to stay. Which is it? If we were supposedly too drunk to be there, why were drinks being served in the first place? We had already ordered what would have been around a $700 meal, and instead of being treated with basic respect, we were stereotyped because we were a bachelorette party. It felt like Hannah had already made up her mind before giving us any chance to prove otherwise. Restaurants absolutely have the right to refuse service to genuinely intoxicated guests. What they should not do is make assumptions based on the type of celebration or the size of a group. This wasn't responsible service--it was poor judgment, inconsistent management, and an incredibly embarrassing way to treat paying customers. We'll happily spend our money somewhere that values its guests instead of profiling them. !!! DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!! We ended up at ZUZUs, they treated us with respect and dignity. Food was 10/10.

Here are a few of my reasons... Restaurants don't survive if you're not crushing it with food and service. In a part of town where most places don't last more than a few years, Social Tap has been doing it for over 10. Not only is the food good for "bar food," but they also bring lots of it. To wash it down, they have a legit beer menu. But what's good food if it's not served well? I've found the staff very welcoming. From the hostesses to the servers and bartenders to barbacks, they genuinely make Social Tap feel like a community. The staff is never too busy to make sure you're taken care of and to ask how you're doing. For those who like to watch their favorite out-of-town team, like me (Go Cubs Go!), they're very open to changing up the channels for you. It's a small thing and takes little effort, but it makes it feel like you're more than just a "local." Inside or outside, upstairs or downstairs, Social Tap (and the Balcony Bar up top) is a great place to watch some sports ball, chat with friendly staff, and unwind in Old Town Scottsdale. It's the ideal place to "hang out" from early afternoon until the crazy nightlife begins to take over. If you stop by and see someone sitting at the end of the bar when you walk in, hanging on every pitch when the Cubbies are on, that's probably me. Say, "Hey," and let's chat.
