Car: 2002 Toyota Corolla LE, 160K miles, 1 previous owner.
Work done: oil leak, very severe $0
remove and replace valve cover gasket w/ valve cover replacement and PCV valve and engine degrease. leaking down the engine onto subframe components and dripping onto the floor. valve cover appear degraded from electrolysis. $1,456.32
remove & replace both CV axles. they have torn inner joint boots and leaking. $1251.29
coolant service -- had the wrong coolant in the car. how dangerous is this? $172.
tune up: replace spark plugs, air filter, perform throttle body service, relearn idle, reset ignition and injection adaptive memory if done with the valve covers. $275.87. feels like the biggest rip off % wise lol
total cost $3155.48.
