The only downside is that since it is a smaller company and Oniel is very hands on, from time to time it can be difficult to get in touch to start a new project. BUT the big upside is that once I am able to get on the schedule, I've never had to wait too long. Many largest companies can have you waiting weeks to get work done. We had a drain/plumbing issue in a tenant apartment that was making the one shower unusable (i.e.,…read morean emergency). We had three other plumbers out to try to resolve the issue and they always just passed the buck ("you'll have to call someone else") or suggested replacing and entire shower stack ($2k+). Bore's was able to fit me in earlier than scheduled due to a cancellation, and used actual common sense to identify the issue, which was much easier to resolve than previously thought. The apprentice plumber called in to the master plumber Michael (who I believe is also the owner?), who was able to come out same-day (!!), confirm the solution, and call in the right tech. Then he waited around for an extra hour to make sure the tech did the job correctly, put everything back as it was before (access panel, etc.) and even rinsed down the tub (which had accumulated significant grime during all the troubleshooting). Michael was very informative about how to prevent further issues. And the charges were well below what we anticipated we would need to spend, thanks to their aptitude and careful consideration. When he came back out to look at the additional work, he quoted me nearly double what he had originally discussed and gave the impression that he wasn't interested in taking on the job. He eventually completed the work I hired him for, but when the insulation company arrived, we immediately discovered that part of the job I had already paid for had not been completed. As a result, the insulation crew and I had to finish the remaining work ourselves before the insulation removal could even begin. That was extremely frustrating, especially since I had hired and paid someone to ensure everything was ready beforehand. Based on my experience, I won't be hiring Joe again, and I can't recommend his services to others. I expected the work to be completed correctly the first time, and unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
