Do not go here! Left my car in the parking lot overnight to get a tire changed because I had a flat tire earlier in the day. Came back the next morning to my window shattered, car was broken into, and everything inside was stolen. When asking the workers what happened, they said it was like that when they got to work that morning. Didn't think to call the police, me, or anyone. My friend and I were road tripping to Pinnacles from LA and unfortunately hit a large rock thirty minutes from the trailhead that badly damaged the rim of my front right tire. We were in the middle of nowhere but luckily had reception. After Triple A put on the temporary tire, we found that most tire shops were closed because it was Sunday morning and the shops that were open said they had to order rims that wouldn't arrive for days, which wasn't ideal since we needed to drive home to LA that evening. Finally, we called Cuevas Tires and spoke with Rafael who confidently told us he could take care of us. He was very professional and patient and took the time to talk to both of us, which was really reassuring. We drove up to Salinas and he greeted us, evaluated the problem, and took care of us right away all in about 30 minutes or so. The prices were very fair and the car looked great. I was happy with my new tires (cheap tires but for the price I'm not complaining) what I was disappointed about was, I told them I want to keep my front 2 tires being that they still had some life. They said no problem we will keep them for you. I came back to pick up my car I was happy with the new wheels but the tires I told them to hold on for me where not there. I asked them about them and they said they where no good (I checked all 4 before hand, front where good, back ones where gone.) I asked them it's all good I still want the front ones, they took me to the back and told me to look for them. "Wtf" they told me to look for my tires in a pile of tires. Then the guy had the pair to ask me "well do you have pictures of the tires", who takes pictures of tires? Luckily I'm a car guy so I take pictures of my cars all the time so I told the guy in Spanish "yes, yea I do" he didn't like that. My tires are COOPER tires! 205,45,17! And I know used they are still worth some money. (Run flat tires) I know they are planning to resell the tires it's cool part of business but don't bull sh*t your customers and tell them your going to save them give them your word and not fallow through... just not cool thanks for the new tires but disappointing service. Be honest to your customers it will take you a long way. ( we're a Hispanic community instead of helping each other, we screw each other over, sad truth) .. Alisal St. because this guy said come on over I will take care it. I got there and he took care of me, and 2 other guys at the same time. Literally, he was done changing my tire and giving me a MATCH within 15 mins. He was the "REAL DEAL," and REASONABLE!!!!. Don't get ripped off in Monterey. Go to CUEVAS TIRES. These guys do an amazing job! Fast and efficient. Went in to repair a flat tire which the entire set needed to be replaced soon. They inspected all four tires and patched one that didn't need it. When I pointed out the tire that was flat, they said it was too worn to be patched. Didn't want to charge me anything for the work. I asked about replacing all four specialty tires, 235/45/20 and their price was far below any I had priced online and had it in stock. Price quoted was exactly what I paid. No additional nickel and diming added to the cost, and saved more than half what I planned to spend with online retailer and local installer at around $1000. I will consider them my first choice when looking for tire work in the future. read more

I live in watsonville and most shops wanted $480 for the 4 tires. when I bought the tires from cuevas over the phone they ordered and had the tires the next day early in the morning.
