Great spot. Never a disappointment. Always come here for my tire needs. I once broke a rim she had it sent out to be welded and came back looking like new. Also drove like new, well balanced no issues. Claudia's service is always quick and friendly. She never gives you the run around. Tell's you exactly what you need to hear not what you want to hear. Claudia is a life savor! We called in 15 min before closing time and she was willing to wait for us on a Sunday afternoon! (Driving from Soledad: about a 30 min commute to Salinas). Honestly one of the best services I've ever had. I went in at the end of the day, no appointment, and no clue as to what was wrong with my tire. On the phone they were able to let me know they would help me out if I arrived within 15 minutes. Once there, they had the problem identified and fixed within 20 minutes and at an affordable price. First of all, I want to clarify this is not a place for everyone. It's the kind of place perfect if you have some knowledge, bought your own tires (no matter what type) and want them on. The shop has the same equipment as in the 50's, but it works. The people working there are great. I arrived there on a Saturday at 6pm (that's right, they're open on weekends) and they were happy to help me. I love working on cars, so I asked them if I could get involved in the process. They were happy about it and gave me a discount for my work. Overall it was a nice, quick and inexpensive experience. I'm certainly coming back when I need new tires put on. read more

ive always came to galvez for any issue with my tires, since i had my 2001 beetle to my now 2016 altima , claudia tells you straight up what the issue is she doesn't try to rip you off like other places do !! specially cuz they see im a woman in other places they tried ripping me off, i feel comfortable going to galvez because its ran by a woman =)... i definitely recommend when people ask me about a tire place ! read more

I bought tires here on my son's recommendation. Mainly because they are fast, and less expensive. I have had the tires now, over a year w no problems. I think they were made in Korea. Good thick tread, warranty, handled rainy weather. I called ahead, they were ready for me, put the tires on one at a time, and ta da - i am out of there!! Great experience. If you can get passed the area, you'll find a gem. Prices are outstanding for Salinas. The price she gives you is the price out the door. I bet you save at least $100 compared to the big boys.
