As a mom with 6 kids, this place has become part of my regular shopping routine. I often shop their weekly deals, as they have some really good ones. Just this last week they were running clamshells of strawberries for only $.99 each! Wow! During the week I stopped here twice and bought a total of 12 strawberries. They were huge and juicy and super delicious! GFS has become a staple for bulk items like hotdogs and hamburgers, for BBQs and parties during the spring and summer months. Huge trays of macaroni and cheese, big vats of pickles, tubs of ice creams, jugs of barbecue sauce, 5lb trays of gyro meat and huge bags of frozen fluffy Greek pitas are just a few items that I've purchased on more than a few occasions. GFS literally has everything you need for bulk item shopping, which saves you money in the long run. They have produce, meat (fresh and frozen), seafood, dairy, deli items either already pre sliced or bulk items that they will slice for you. They have a great international selection, cases of beverages including energy drinks, pop, water, and even Jarritos! What I love most about GFS is their huge selection of disposable products. Lots of different size containers, plates, cups, condiment containers and those little paper boats to serve nachos. I come to Gordon Food store for all my party supply needs. They has have cleaning supplies and kitchen items. Don't forget, this is the place to get your catering trays, racks and sterno cans to keep your hot foods hot. Last summer I threw a graduation party for my son for 109 people most of the food and supplies to throw him a huge graduation bash came from GFS. I made lamb gyro pitas, Italian sausage and peppers, Italian party subs, pigs in a blanket, burgers and hotdogs, chicken wings- all of which came from GFS! The food was a huge hit! I love that they are opened 7am-8pm Monday-Saturday, and are open on Sundays too 9am-6pm. Makes for great shopping 7 days a week. They employees are always helpful and friendly. GSF offers a great 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you're not happy with any purchase, simply bring it back for a full refund. In all the years that I've shopped at GFS, I have only had to return one thing that I didn't care for. It was a hassle free return with a full refund. Since we usually shop at Nino Salvaggios, (which we really like a lot) it was an easy comparison between the two. Randazzos carries a lot of products that Nino's doesn't and vice versa. So it was nice picking up some foods that Nino's doesn't have. One thing that stands out not only here, but anywhere is the friendliness of cashiers (or lack of). Nino's cashiers are time and time again much friendlier and something as simple as that is what a customer remembers and keeps them coming back since it's the last interaction with the store as they exit. I may still shop here occasionally though because it's closer to home, but it won't be my first choice.

Ample street parking on a Wednesday morning in Utica (also public on south side), hubby & I walked past a few businesses and into Host and immediately somehow felt we'd been elevated! The ambience is edgy and elegant giving off an elite vibe matched by the informative attentive staff and everything that was set before us. The barista approached us immediately taking our latte orders from a versatile coffee menu, and our lovely waitress Bailey didn't miss a beat welcoming us, fielding questions and sharing the restaurant's cool concept of "Host"-ing new chefs bimonthly representing freshly-curated menus of palate delights. She later informed us of classes held on 2nd floor for making cocktails and sushi! While enjoying our lovely lattes, we quickly ordered veggie omelets with mushroom and bacon additions that were timely served and clearly plated with care. My husband noticed there were no salt & pepper shakers anywhere, signifying the chef's confidence in his dishes! And indeed our meals needed no help, as we savored each bite of perfectly cooked omelets bursting with flavor complimented by crisp sliced potatoes dressed in a lemon drizzle. Easily the best omelet I've had in my hometown, probably in my state! I made sure to compliment the chef through the open pass-through kitchen on our way out after lingering after our meals not wanting to rush out of this lovely place. The store is always organized, clean and stocked well with hundreds of items to shop for The smells of hot food cooking to buy for lunch or dinner TO GO is Yummy Fantastic when local residents stop in for Carry-Out. When I'm craving and in the mood to cook Polish recipes from My Parents, I enjoy shopping in this Traditional Polish and European Food Store. Founded in the early nineties, with a market in Hamtramck already this Sterling Heights location has been my go to being a Polish Princess Queen Of Cooking thanks to My parents and My 200% heritage.
