We had an excellent experience at Ford's Garage and will definitely be back! I ordered the Bison Burger with fries, and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had the Patty Melt and really enjoyed it as well. For drinks, I had the Woodford Old Fashioned, which was well-made and paired great with the meal, while my wife loved the No Octane Dirty Soda. Our boys ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and the fish planks, both served with tater tots. They enjoyed everything, but the tater tots were definitely the biggest hit at the table! To top it all off, we shared the Brookie Sundae for dessert, and it was amazing. The perfect way to end a great meal. What really made the visit memorable was our server. She was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. One of our favorite moments was when she took one of our boys behind the bar to honk the horn, he loved it! I just don't get it. This probably isn't the place for me. We went on a Saturday at 4 and there's still a line out the door. We had a reservation so we didn't have to wait. Service was slow. Our server was very friendly and nice but he was slow. I don't know if he had too many tables, it was just very slow for everything. Lots of choices on the menu, so there is something for everyone. I had the Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken. It was hot. It wasn't awful, just very meh and unforgettable. Not the worst meal I ever had, but nothing has me wanting to go back. We had an ok experience here for weekday dinner. They have some of the entrees lower priced until 6, and some happy hour drinks. We had to wait over 10 mins after sitting down to get a server, even though staff were everywhere. They were asking "is this table new?" so it seems they were confused about what was going on. They did accommodate a swap request (grilled chicken instead of crispy) so I was happy with my meal. I was also happy with the prices. The food is standard American. We were only there just over an hour and 2 different managers both stopped at our table twice to ask if everything is good. The burger as a whole was flavorless; the toppings were bland, cheese was waxy and the bun just tasted burnt because they "brand" the top of it with their logo. The most inexcusable thing of all was the fact that I got SIX frozen onion rings on the side... SIX. How in the world is that acceptable? Super mediocre. Don't waste your time... I was (and still) so excited that Ford's Garage opened on this side of town. Their only other location in Michigan's all the way in Dearborn and I literally never get out that way. This place is about 15 to 20 minutes from me, which is great! Walking in, the decor is fabulous. Automotive themed, lots of good food and plenty of people. My friend and I were seated right away and even though I normally go with a burger here, I switched it up a little bit. I split an appetizer of the pretzel sticks with my friend, which were delicious by the way. Kind of greasy, but good. I also got the French Onion Soup, which was delicious as well. My only "complaint" was the shrimp appetizer. While it was good, the sauce on top wasn't very good and I think it was previously frozen shrimp. It didn't look good without the sauce. I know this because I accidently flipped one over by mistake and I was like "that looks weird." but ate it anyway. It wasn't bad, just rather a bland sauce and not so great. I do love coming here as they do a good job with everything. Parking is great and even when it's busy they seem to manage the crowds. I will gladly return in the future. read more

Booked a reservation for a table of four on a Thursday at 6:15 PM but unfortunately we weren't seated until 7:30 PM, even though our entire party had arrived on time. It did feel like other groups who voiced complaints were seated sooner, but I'm not usually one to speak up. Once we were finally seated, everything turned around. Our server, Mia, was truly one of the best we've had in a long time--attentive, helpful, and so friendly. The food, as always, was absolutely divine and cooked perfectly. I ordered the Americana 1/3 lb burger with the garlic aioli on the side, and it was pure perfection. Aside from the long wait to be seated, everything else about our visit was wonderful. My parents wanted to dine at Ford's Garage for lunch on a random day before Christmas. Having been to a different location previously, I thought I knew what to expect...I was somewhat wrong. Good: just as good, if not better. Loved my salad, and my husband's G & T was better than average. Personnel: Taylor at the bar was fun and personable. Needs major improvement: the wait for food. Again, we were here for lunch, not dinner. Took well over an hour to receive food after ordering, at least 1 hr 15 min... and this was sitting at the bar! No compensation, free app or drink, nothing. I was super hangry. *Apparently* compensation for long orders occurs after 1.5 hours?! We were just shy of that. The French onion soup is Amazing, the first time I went, I ordered a patty melt and French onion soup, we did order appetizers (the fried pickles), loved them !! We were a table of 4 with reservations for 5:30 on a Friday. The place was packed but likely because families with young kids came in early for dinner. We were seated right at our reservation time so that was nice. We've been to the one in Novi, MI and the one in Orlando, FL and have had good experiences in those locations. This was no different. The decor is very much an ode to all things automotive and the motor city. Even the exterior had 2 old Ford replicas at a replica gas pump. You are immersed in the experience the moment you arrive. We were there early enough to order from their happy hour menu so I got the Blue Oval Margarita and hubby got an Old Fashioned. My Margarita was very good - I ordered it frozen with salt on the rim. It was fruity and tasty...and served in a pint glass so it was a big drink. Hubby's Old Fashioned was served with crushed ice instead of an ice ball. He often gets them and didn't find this particularly unique but it wasn't bad. For our meals, I got the Pulled Pork Mac N Cheese and he got the Brisket Ranchero Roadster. My Mac n cheese was very good - the cheese was especially tasteful with the hint of beer but not overly thick so it balanced nicely with the taste of the pulled pork. Hubby liked his burger but there was not a lot of brisket on it to create a unique flavor palette. We came here on a Wednesday about 1:30 and the place was packed! I've been to the Fords Garage in Dearborn and wanted to see how this new one compares. I like this new Utica location better! The wait was about 10 minutes and the hostess was very nice. The waitress was very friendly and high energy. She seemed like she likes her job which is a good sign!! My friend got the jiffy burger which was a burger with peanut butter on it. He liked it but said that there was too much peanut butter and next time he would have them put less on. I got the chop shop salad with thousand island dressing and it was really delicious. I mean for a salad I was impressed. There were a lot of ingredients and they were all chopped up like you would expect with a "chopped " salad. I would definitely get that again. We will definitely be coming back here again. read more

Came here for our company Christmas lunch. First off Tyler did a great job as our server. The interior was cool. I was glad they had yuengling on tap. We shared the shrimp, cheese curds and onion rings apps. The shrimp was good not that spicy the boom boom sauce was on the mild side. The cheese curds were ok wouldn't get those again. The funnel of onion rings were bland. I ordered the chop shop salad. They really chopped that salad almost to nothing. The chicken was good and so was the garlic dressing. New location for this chain. The restaurant hasn't been open long. There was about a 25 minute wait in the middle of the afternoon, so it is a popular location on Hall rd. Service was mediocre. We had more attention from the girl bussing the tables than our waitress. Ordered a Diet Coke still didn't have it after our appetizers were delivered. I had to ask for it again in order to get it. Appetizers arrived by the food runner, but we never had plates brought to the table so thankfully the girl bussing the tables brought some for us. Appetizers were very good. We had wings and pretzels. The wings were huge. With a good amount of sauce. Pretzels were very hot when served. The beer cheese that came with them was very good, just not enough for the four pretzels. Burgers were just okay. I ordered mine medium rare, but it was served barely medium. It was still juice at least. Not a lot of flavor to the meat and it was just warm. The bun was surprisingly very cold. It was fresh and soft, but cold as if it just came out of refrigeration. It would have expected it to be toasted or at least warm with the logo seared on it. The fries were also just warm, I wish they would have been hotter. They lacked salt. One of us ordered a Patty melt without the dressing but it was still served with the dressing. The dressing was mixed in with the caramelized onions so we had to send it back to get it corrected. Third Ford's Garage location we have been to and honestly can say the food an experience has been consistent across all locations! I am a sucker for brioche hamburger buns so I always get a burger. And these guys can cook a burger - so when you say you want it cooked medium, you ARE going to get it cooked medium. There were 5 of us here in February. Burgers, brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, tower of onion rings and lots of food. All delicious and a unique experience as the entire place is themed out with car stuff. For example, the napkins are mechanic wash clothes wrapped with a house clamp. I finally just asked if the rest of my party was there, and was led to a table. I love the ambiance! Worth experiencing mainly for the ambiance, but likely would not return. Onion rings varied in consistency: Several were lukewarm likely sitting for some time while several other rings were piping hot on the same plate. "Solid food, fun vibes, and gearhead flair!" My first time at Ford's Garage and I have to say--it was a pretty cool experience! I made reservations because even on a Tuesday it was packed. The place is decked out like a vintage service station, complete with gas pumps, tire sinks in the bathrooms, and car parts all over. Super cool. Definitely a fun atmosphere, especially if you're into cars or just want something a little different from your average burger joint. Appetizers- Shrimp - They were crispy on the outside but still tender inside. Not too spicy, the only thing that is hot is the red says that is drizzled on the shrimp . Definitely worth adding on as a side or shared appetizer. Onion Rings - Thick-cut and golden brown. Crunchy without being overcooked, they were crunchy too. They come stacked tall on a funnel, which makes for a fun presentation. Burger - Juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. I had mine medium well and it was spot-on. The bun was buttery and held together nicely (no falling apart halfway through), and the toppings were fresh. Good portion size too. I was full!!!!!! Service was friendly and attentive, and food came out in a reasonable time even though the place was busy. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu. Experience this time even though it was super busy! Switched ideas to grab a Mushroom Swiss burger today and DAMN! that burger was huge and cooked perfectly! Fries were on point also today and the our waitress Adrianna was the ideal example of perfection also! Never even had to ask for a drink refill or anything since she supplied it all! I like how everything here is eye level and nothing is blocking the views for anyone. Floor was spotless and bathroom was super clean. Even though I'm stuffed still off the half pound burger I think I could have eaten and enjoyed a full pounder it was so good! Can't believe I ate the whole thing but I could barely put it down! Stopped over at Ford's Garage to meet up with some family from out of town, and wow was it busy. Found that a bit surprising for 430pm on a Saturday, but I took it as a good sign. We were quoted an hour wait to be seated, but then had to kind of loiter around out front since there was no open seating in their small waiting area. Thankfully the weather was nice, so we checked out the older cars situated at the front of the building and chatted to kill time. Our table was eventually available, and slightly faster than quoted. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, clean, casual, and fun; literally something everywhere you looked. The car theme was done really well, and the hose clamps as napkin rings were a great little detail. Our server was fantastic, very friendly, knew the menu well, and quite patient as a few in our group have severe food allergies. Food took quite awhile to come out, about 45 min or so. We did not order appetizers so the kids were slightly impatient during the wait. I will say that once food arrived, I was delighted to be informed that all allergy-risk meals are cooked in an entirely different line, with separate cooking utensils. Big win in my book! You can even check out their allergen menu online before heading in. The food was a huge portion, and was absolutely delicious! I'm quite sensitive to even the smallest amount of of cross contamination from certain foods, and I'm happy to report I did not have any type of food reactions, not even delayed reactions, meaning they truly kept my meal safe. Ignoring the long wait, seemingly due to them recently opening and drawing a curious crowd, the experience was very positive. Meals were moderate to moderately-high priced, bathrooms were well kept (and unique with some seriously cool sinks), and there is plenty of parking available both in front of the restaurant, and in the huge parking lot at the back. This place just opened a few weeks ago and wanted to see the hype. They didn't allow reservations or call ahead. First come first serve. I waited about 15 minutes. A big party came after me and they told them 90 minutes. Oddly when I got my table, they had big tables opened and ready, but the people naturally left. It's typical bar food. I didn't care for all the special names. Just call it what it is. Too much marketing weenies trying to be hipsters. I had ordered the Ford signature burger medium with French Onion soup. I also had the pretzel bread as a an appetizer which was free courtesy of the app. The burger was cooked less than medium and was very dry. From the red color (not pink), I should have ordered it back, but the kitchen was so slow I didn't dare. There wasn't much seasoning either. It definitely seemed smaller than a half pound burger. The lettuce was pretty much non existent. When I got the bill, the soup was full price and no upgrade from fries, so I had to asked for the fries to go. Waitress was pretty attentive, but the food service was extremely slow. I was there at 9pm on a Thursday, so I don't know why the kitchen was so slow. The music was a little loud for my comfort and the ac was a couple notches too cold, we all had goose bumps. They do offer a Ford discount if you have a Ford badge. The restroom sinks had a tire, a little weird if you ask me. To think some marketing guy thought it was a great idea to put a dirty tire around the sink. It does not scream cool or trendy, but instead poser. And urinals are old kegerators which I've seen at other restaurant garages. Why urine was on top the kegerator is beyond me. Not anything I want to view, and as a result I would have rather just had a normal urinal instead of them being cute. If you're in the neighborhood and want to eat bar food, this place is fine. I would rather come for lunch than dinner, if they could speed things up. It's sad twisted rooster and fuddruckers recently closed. I think I'd rather eat at Culver's for a hamburger though (quicker, cheaper, better tasting), I'd come back and try the brisket though, but only if I am in the area. My stomach is growling at me from eating a half a burger 5 hours ago (I should have sent it back). Yeah, two bathroom visits too. Reminds me of when I use to eat Taco Bell if you know what I mean. Anyways, it's always neat having a new place to go. We will see how the other customers review this place to see how they are doing, but that my first impression. read more
