Just finished an incredible dinner here with my wife. The craft beer selection is off the charts, I loved the Badlands Nectar beer! We both ordered pasta and absolutely loved our meals, the noodles tasted homemade, and the sauces were incredible. I got the Spaghetti Carbonara which I loved, the cured meat and light but flavourful sauce was so good. My wife ordered the Americana pasta and that just bursted with flavour and a good amount of spice! Our server was such a sweetheart, we told her that we just got married yesterday and she came out with a complimentary Tiramisu and a nice "congratulations" on the bill... s000000 kind! Also, I'm not a big Tiramisu fan, my wife likes it more than I do, but she said that was the best she's ever had and I also genuinely enjoyed it. Ambiance ..was ok..not much to brag about..service was fine..fast and very courteous..food well it was 4 of us we decided to order 4 personal pizza..how can you go wrong with pizza..well pizza was prob..the worst pizza i have had ...the mozzarella cheese had no flavor cheep cheese..to much sauce ..burned crust and raw on the top...the caesar salad was taste less ..the shareable we had for 4 people barely enough ..very salty ..the only spice was salt . drinks..if someone wants a beer like coors light or a stella..or a Rickard's Red well you can't get it..only kraft beer ..at least have one non kraft beer. read more

We ordered fried Brussel sprouts. OMG.. caramelized parmesan aioli, herbed bread crumbs, parmesan. 11/10! More please. The service is super friendly, quick and attentive. Very pleased. The ambiance feels very fancy and expensive. The bar is very nice and cozy. The main setting area is open concept with a side room loungey area. Think we"ll be back when we can. read more

The food was good - we enjoyed the truffle fries to start followed by the hot honey pizza & prosciutto pizza. The service was quick & very friendly, even when a party was being hosted at the restaurant. The seating is very limited as is parking in the area, so I recommend making a reservation in advance and arriving a little early to find parking. read more

I paid a lunch visit for the first time for the taste of burlington. The service was outstanding! I was super pleased with how genuine the service was. There was only the one guy and the cook it seemed, but he ran the place nicely and we never felt neglected. They have a lot of beers so I wish there were more options for the beer flight. I loved the atmosphere and decor. The food was ok, pretty good. I'd like to try some other things next time. Two reasons I am not 100 sure about this place are the no parking and location. There's a paid lot behind and it's located next to a pub (extremely close, especially their patios) that looks like it's for high school or college kids, which I see being a bother when the weather gets nicer. read more

Culccino Bar + Kitchen is the new restaurant that took over from Eatalia. The building is pretty much the same roundhouse with some new lighting and furniture. I think this place could deserve 4 starts but it has to take care of a few things first. Culaccino is an Italian word that essentially means "the end of a salami", "loaf of bread etc.," the "dregs in a glass", and "the mark left on a surface by a wet glass". However this place is essentially a craft beer bar with a few tapas. The design of the interior is somewhat akin to a German beer hall however when empty, it seems to lack the laughter required to liven such a place. We sat on the large patio which is bordered by the restaurant on one side and Brant Street on the other. There are a couple of tables that are near a large tree. That should give the patio an "al fresco" feel however the traffic on Brant Street, which is a few feet from the front tables, tales away from that experience. I would highly recommend a row of plants to block off the street from the patio. The food menu is small and "tapas" like and the beer menu is extensive. They must have over a hundred craft beers from all over the world. If you're into trying a variety of small brewer beers, this place is great. I personally don't know how they could sell all of those beers. I think 50 or so would be enough. The food menu includes a few salads, "bowls and boards" and some pizzas. We had a pizza with the garlic frites. The pizza was ok. It seems a bit "manufactured" with a pre-made dough. It didn't taste much different than frozen pizza. The Frites with the garlic aioli were really good! The service was friendly and prompt and the overall atmosphere is OK. I still have to get used to the building which looks like it was a travel information centre or a religious hall sometime in the past. The patio could be great and I believe the inside would have a great ambiance when it's filled with people. This place could easily be 4 stars. read more

Terrible service. Waitress could not answer questions regarding the menu. Excuses she was tired and having an off day. I Specifically repeated my order twice that I don't want sauerkraut on my sandwich. My friend ordered a pasta dish. Waitress served our orders only to find out my sandwich came with sauerkraut which I didn't want. I sent the sandwich back and had to wait for another one. In the mean time my friend had to eat his meal alone, while I watched him eat. When I finally received my sandwich, I lost my appetite and my friend finished his pasta. No apologies for the mistake with the order. If a wait staff can't get an order right., perhaps they should change careers. Will never be going back again. Sandwich was also overpriced. $$$ read more

Came here for dinner tonight to try the recently voted "best burger in Burlington". Our server was new but very nice, efficient and eager. I had a Sangria to start, they make it to order and I was a bit apprehensive but it was Good! I ended up ordering the brisket sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the burger. My sandwich wasn't great to be honest- it was shaved so thing that it was mushy and the horseradish aioli was barely detectable. The salad it came with was nice. My boyfriend's burger was very good but not the best. The bun was fresh and the burger itself was juicy but the toppings were lacking in flavour. The fries that came with were really Good! All in all it was a good experience but I wouldn't rush to come back. read more

Went here for father's day and was quite pleased. We had previously eaten apps outside on the patio which were good but hadn't been inside. The space is bright and cool; I like round rooms. The service was excellent and everyone was very positive about their meals (I had share bites and what I had was tasty). I personally had the burger; SO GOOD. I'd put this up for Best in Burlington. I'd seen this place previously as Eatalia and know there is high turn over in the resto biz - I wish these guys good luck! read more

Spent 100s of dollars there this summer. Sometimes the pizza was good, sometimes it was overly oily and lacking toppings. The wine and beer selection was well thought out and fun. There was one server who was tremendously professional and friendly And, I can not overstate this - most food items you can make at home. Friendly staff is the reason you go eat out- every bit as much as the food. That being said, after all of that time going to this resto no one ever warmed up and treated us like valued clients. I am not looking for a tinder moment, just a recognition of being a regular who gives a lot of cash to the enterprise. So, do not expect any decent friendliness or appreciation for being a regular. Do not order the carbonara. It tasted -3 tries here, not a single taste and diss - like dishwater gone sour. Pizza can be good. Very good. And, it can be very bad. No consistency. The owner seems like a very nice man. I respect his efforts. There is just some disconnect here. A disconnect with the food. A disconnect with repeat customers. Odd. Not sure what is going on with this place, though I do wish it well. Go for the wine and beer list. Enjoy the patio during the summer. Hope you visit on a day when things a clicking in the kitchen and the one good server is there. read more

Upon arrival we asked to sit outside but told our party of merely 5 was too large and their tables do not move. More importantly I have a medical condition where I can not wait to eat too long. We waited over an hour for food and my chicken salad was quite literally just arugula leaves and BURNT chicken. I had to eat it because I had waited too long between meals, but it was disgusting. My family ordered the oyster spaghetti and one other pasta dish and they were bland, overcooked and they also found their food repulsive. They also had to ask for cheese and pepper to make it palatable as condiments were never offered by our waitress. As for appetizers, the bread was stale and the mussels were tough. On top of that, there was a long hair in my BALD grandfathers espresso. Ridiculous. Do not go here!!! read more

My brother recommended this place for my mother's birthday party a few weeks ago, and everyone had a great time! We had the separate room to the side and it fit all 16 of us comfortably. Mark helped set us up and very pleasant. Victoria was our server, she was excellent!! Food was fantastic; we had platters of breads, delicious pizzas and some of the absolute BEST fried chicken I have ever had. Ordered a burger , they gave me the whole cow. The beef patty was so thick I couldn't take a bite. Because the patty was so big and unseasoned it literally tasted like ground beef by itself. I chose Culaccino's for an annual dinner for 12 friends, all of whom are amazing cooks. As such, I worried if Culaccino's could please everyone. They did so and much more! We had a lovely section of the restaurant reserved and ready, our server was friendly and knowledgable and very accommodating to our numerous special requests! Our appetizers and then meals all arrived promptly and they were ALL delicious. The spicy shrimp appetizer was so good that we ordered two more! The pastas were perfectly al dente with various delicious sauces. Those who ordered the burger loved it; no wonder it won for Burlington's best! The fish special was also a big hit! As the locals, we have been going to Culaccino's since it opened and we are amazed by the way their food and menu has evolved and improved! Had great hopes for this little spot in Burlington. Great beer menu and appetizers. Meal was just okay...Waitress accidentally spilled oil and vinegar on our guests shirt- staff was gracious and tried to help out. Owner- Mark's response was to ask our guest, a young man from out of town to dry clean his shirt and bring back the receipt. When we brought to his attention the shirt was likely finished and that Mark was asking the customer to do all of the work- he asked what we thought he should have done - pretty simple - comped our guests meal or provide him a gift card. Response ... nothing. So disappointing. This is not someone who understands customer service. Won't be back. read more

We just had some dinner there and it was awesome. The fries are fantastic and we also had the grilled octopus which was one of the best I've ever had... and I've had a lot! We had a blonde beer from the tap which was very light and crisp. I had never had it before. It it was a great compliment to our meal. The service was very good. Prompt and quite friendly. We initially thought this would be a bar that specialized in craft beer, with some offerings of food, and we went there for dinner. Aside from what we initially thought of it, our party of 4, loved the food! They did a great job on it, and the place had a pretty good ambiance. I went to Culaccino's earlier this summer with a group of 5 other people. We sat on the patio, which looked very lovely. The server was friendly, which is always important. However, when bringing out our six beers she accidentally dumped ALL SIX beers all over me. I was soaked from head to toe. She was very upset, and I did not cause a scene because I felt bad for her as well. The server was not my issue. Accidents happen to everyone. My issue was with the management. Not once did a manger come out to apologize or anything. After my meal, the server offered me a gelato to make up for the accident. A gelato... to make up for sitting soaked head to toe in beer for over an hour, outside. I politely (but irritated) said no thank you. When the bill was brought out to us, she informed me that they had taken my first drink off the bill because of what happened. A $6 drink. I guess that's what you get for not losing your cool and causing a scene in front of all the other customers. Again, my issue is not with the server because I know these decisions are not up to her. This is poor management. Needless to say, I will not be visiting Culaccino's ever again, all because of the poor customer service from the management. read more
