    Cheese & Cheers Charcuterie Edition
    Adele W.

Absolutely fabulous! We held a retirement "party" for our boss during lockdown and had our food tour on Zoom! We selected the Cheese & Cheers Charcuterie Edition and the box of goodies arrived at each of our homes the day before the event. As I unpacked the box I was surprised at how many items there were! We received our "set-up" instructions the morning of the event and we were off to the races! Kevin was our tour guide and he walked us through the different tantalizing items we had received, each more spectacular than the last. He is very knowledgeable and the parings he suggested were outstanding. If you have a virtual event coming up, I highly recommend Culinary Adventure! The quality of the products we received was fantastic! Lots of leftovers for the next day too!

Black berry and balsamic fig and date mustard. Unreal combo that I never, ever would have thought up on my own.

I attended an event with the Culinary Adventure co. on Aug 17/23. We were lucky enough to have Kevin as our guide. Kevin literally blew me away with his presentation and deep understanding and appreciation of not only the St Lawrence Market and its history, but knowledge of food and how to properly appreciate it. To say our tour was memorable is a massive understatement. It literally changed the way I appreciate where businesses source and present their food, but also in how I taste those items while I eat. "DON'T CHEW YOUR CHEESE!!!" Thanks for the great tour, "Dad" (if you know, you know). 10/10. Highly recommend. Would do again.

Had a great tour at St Lawrence Market in Toronto. Came to visit the city from Detroit, Mi and the tour was very informative, engaging, and of course filled with great food. Kaitlin was a great tour guide and kept the stories and history flowing while highlighting the area and local foods we were tasting. Highly recommend (and we've done a few food tours before and this lives up to other metro city tours, well done!!)

This tour was so awesome! We did the St. Lawrence Market VIP one and when I say come on an empty stomach, COME ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. These aren't skimpy samples. Randy from Mike's fish is so kind, the food everywhere was over the top delicious. The tour was great! We loved it!

Did I mention that I had actually booked the tour for the wrong month and Mackenzie made the tour happen on the fly when he found out we were on the way? Not that I recommend that others do the same, but seriously, how awesome is that?? We will definitely be looking for Mackenzie next year for another tour. Would love to do one in the summer... but leave the students at home! Thanks again, Mackenzie!!!!!

We went to four different wineries and were given a bit 80 minutes to explore Niagara on the Lake! After each winery our driver put all our bottles in designated boxes so we didn't have to carry them around the whole trip- so beneficial! We went to Pellitteri Estates Winery where we tasted their award winning white ice wine (top 100 wine in the WORLD), their red ice wine, a red and a white. We received a tour of their wine cellar, vineyard and learned about history of the winery. This was my favorite of all the wineries we went to- the quality was super high and the prices were actually pretty inexpensive! I bought their Cabernet merlot which was amazing! Wish I bought another bottle. Our second winery was Caroline Cellars. Honestly I would say I liked this winery just as much as Pelliterri- Pelliterri just had a classier vibe to it. Caroline had so many different varieties to taste! My husband and I's factories were the Pinot Cherry and Plum! So obviously we got a bottle of each. Our third winery was so pretty! Konzelmann Estate Winery looks like a castle right out of a fairytale! We were given deliciously cured meats, cheeses, crackers, and DELICIOUS ice wine truffles to pair with each of our tastings. I would definitely say their Peach wine was the best! The star of this winery was definitely their ice wine truffles. I wish I bought some- big regrets! Our last winery was our driver's pick and honestly it was pretty disappointing to end with Between the Lines. None of the wines stood out to anyone in our group. It honestly tasted like very cheap wine. Everyone on the tour wish we could go back to the first two wineries! Suggestion- take Between the Lines off your itinerary!! The time given to explore Niagara on the Lake was just enough time! We got a quick bite to eat at a nice pizza restaurant, walked to Lake Ontario, and shared an ice cream at the Cow. Such a fun time! I would definitely recommend taking this tour!

I couldn't have made a better decision. Our guide, Brendan picked us up the day we arrived at the bus terminal. We were nervous we might miss the tour because there was an unexpected delay crossing the border at the Peace Bridge. But I called the office and they assured us we would make it on time probably and if not they would help us to meet up with the tour. We luckily made it. Brendan was a great guide. He has a lot of energy and is knowledgeable about the local wines and the winemaking process. And he went out of his way to make sure everyone was having a great time. He took us to a very nice brewery, Ouest and several wineries including some extra stops of his favorites. My favorite of the wineries was Jackson Triggs because the guide there was the most knowledgeable and they gave us a tour of the whole process. The dinner at The Ravine was amazing as well. All of the vegetables in the salad are grown on the farm in back of the restaurant. I really couldn't recommend this tour more highly. Whether you're a wine snob or a novice you will enjoy it. If you do it book a tour with Brendan.

We had a tasting flight of Sauv Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Riesling and Call me a cab. Each wine lacked much complexity and had a watery element. Call me a Cab has a great name but I couldn't finish the sample. Wife ordered a glass of Pink Bubbles that was the best of the wines tasted. We did buy a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Usually I buy a bottle or two from each vineyard we visit both to support their efforts and to take a second taste while not overlooking vines. Food wise we kept it simple and shared a Canadian Flatbread with mozzarella cheese, crispy bacon, pepperoni, and mushrooms. Hit the spot. Ridge Road Winery is well worth a visit if in the area. The winery grounds are beautiful, there's an amazing patio wrapped around the building with stunning views of the winery. You truly feel like you're in wine country or even in the Italian countryside when you're here. We wanted to do a tasting and we were told to go find a seat outside and someone would be assisting us. We noticed that there was a separate area for people who pre-reserved lunch. I think it's a pre-set menu and it's catered by the McEwan company. The food coming out looked really tasty! We asked if they had a food menu as we were looking for a charcuterie board or something to snack on while tasting the wine, however they do not have a food menu unless you reserve in advance. Although this was a bit of a bummer, the server told us she would bring us some snacks for the wine tasting. As the lunch seating was taking place, the servers were quite busy however our server apologized for the wait and was really nice. We each had the 4 wine tasting flights and were able to choose 4 wines from their extensive list. I tried their sparkling wine, rose, a red and a white and they were pleasant but not the most amazing wines I've ever had. I liked the flavour profile of the rose and the sparkling was really light and crisp. The white and red were just OK for me. The server was knowledgeable and helped to offer suggestions based on my preferences. As promised, she also brought us some bowls with chips, nuts and dried fruit, and tarali. These were great for munching on as well as palate cleansers between the wines. I particularly enjoyed the ambiance of this winery. On a beautiful breezy summer day, it was absolute heaven sitting out on the patio and sampling some tasty wines. I would love to come for a meal one day however they only serve lunch at this time. We even had the owner come over and chat with us for a while to make sure we were enjoying our time. The wines in the retail portion of the winery are super reasonable, I don't think any wines were over $20. This is a nice way to support local business without breaking the bank. Overall this is a wonderful way to spend an hour or so. The flight of wine was only $10 and the wines are also inexpensive to purchase so this makes for an affordable afternoon out. I loved the views and European feel of the winery; it truly made me feel like I was far away without having to step on a plane!

The fork was sticky and had fingerprints. I had to ask the waitress to change it to a clean one. I should have taken that as a sign. Next, the menu had suggested wine pairings, so when we ordered the pasta, I went with the suggested Chardonnay. To my surprise, the waitress said they don't have one. I was going to ask why bother including the suggested pairing when it's not available, but I didn't bother. I ordered a bottle of white wine, and the server just placed it on the table and didn't even bother pouring a glass. No tasting, just left the bottle on the table, as if saying you're on your own! So we ordered the antipasto platter, the cured meats looked like the packaged cold cuts from a grocery store and the cheese didn't even include any soft cheese. Instead of crackers they served churros like bread sticks which tasted like oily sugarless donuts. We also ordered the pasta with artichokes- it was bland. Thank goodness for the Parmesan cheese that was brought to our table by mistake. The pizza was the only saving grace. It wasn't worth it, the red plastic chairs gave a cheap vibe on an otherwise classy ambiance. The servers were mostly young people who seemed clueless and were just there for a summer job. This is one of those places I'd add to my WR (won't return) list
