Tino was good. He found the problem quickly; then showed me how to deal with it if it ever happens again.,He installed my new filters. He showed me how to use a TDS meter to tell if my filters need changing. He showed me how to find and use the 'Kill Switch' should the flooding start ever again. And he gave me tips about maintenance to avoid having this blockage again. He was polite, sense of humor, and worked quickly but efficiently. read more

TL;DR: poor customer experience, poor service manager, hold through automated phone menu for 15-20 minutes before being connected to a human, after being connected get tossed around and finally not end up getting any answer and false promise of callback. Details: Bought the smart RO and smart softener system in 8k in July 2024. Although, I knew that I was paying a premium price for their system (other equally good products are available at significantly lower price), I still went with Culligan given their market reputation and with that hope that premium products usually have a good service team and is responsive and care about customer experience. I found out this was not the case. Culligan smart RO system had an issue from the get go where it wouldn't fill the water tank to capacity and water would run out after a liter and I'd have to wait a long time before it would replenish. After reporting it, they changed a faulty part after a few weeks, but the problem didn't go away. It was better, but not fixed. The service manger told me that if the problem persists, they'd change the TO system. I reached out again in Nov 2024, and they took the RO system back for inspection with an ETA of 2 days. When there was no update after 5 days, I reached out to them but no one was able to give me any update. I was told that the service manger was busy and would call me back with an update. I waited 3 more days for a call back, and reached out again when there was no response. I was given the same answer again that the service manager will call me back before end of day. 2 days later when I didn't receive any call, I called back, and I was again told that the service manager was busy with another customer and give me a call back. I insisted on staying on hold, and the service manager passed the message through the receptionist that they were waiting on parts with no ETA. I insisted again on speaking with the service manager, and was connected to her after a few minutes. After summarizing her about the issue, and asking why I was not notified about anything, I was told "Because we were waiting on parts, I didn't have any update". This was such an unacceptable answer from a manager that I really had no words. When I asked her, why not just replace my RO system with another one like you said a few months ago, she told me that it wasn't possible, and it had to go through certain steps. At this point, I felt cheated. I shouldn't have been promised something that was not possible just to sell their product. I told her that my experience could have been much better by 2 simple things: 1. A phone call/msg with an update of what was going on. Even if there was no ETA, letting me know would have been so much better for me. I would have saved several trips to the store to get RO water and instead got it in bulk. 2. If there was no ETA, they could have installed the system back and fixed it when the parts had arrived. The service manager said that she wasn't even aware that the system was partially working. I felt that she should have known what the problem was given her involvement in the issue. But, I wasn't surprised. The service manager told me that they'd install the system in the next 2 days once they inspect the parts. I told her that even if the new part doesn't arrive, at least install the system back so that I can have drinking water. But, this deadline also passed and there was radio silence from the service team. I give up. I'm not going to follow up anymore. I have wasted several hours at this point holding through their automated phone system, and getting the same cold response. You can feel the lack of empathy or sorry in their tone. Saying sorry doesn't really mean you are sorry. While filtration systems can have issues, and I don't blame the product, I 100% blame the attitude of the service manager and the customer experience they strive for. I will not recommend Culligan product to anyone just because of their extremely poor customer service. read more

I have tried multiple times to give this company a chance but I am feeling defeated at this point. I mean how hard could it be getting a water cooler for my home with jugs to be delivered every month? I was set to get my water system the 28th of November which was almost 3 weeks from when I called and bought the service. The day came and I was not given a time of delivery so I had to cancel everything I had going to make sure I was home for the delivery. Then they only showed up with water bottles and not the water system.. the delivery people said a request was not put in for a cooler so they only brought bottles.. then when I called the sales department I placed my order with they told me the delivery driver must have just forgot to put it on the truck... then I called service and they said they didn't have any coolers in stock at the time of delivery but have them now and the next delivery date in my area (which is 25mins from their location) would be December 16th. So now I have to wait 16 more days to get my water cooler... Before the 16th I had 2 people calling me asking me the same questions over and over again "did you get your water system yet? Do you need any more water bottles? Can we verify your location again?". It was obvious that their departments do not communicate well with one another. December 16th comes around and I finally get my cooler. The installer comes in and sets it up then leaves without explaining anything to me. I figured it must just be that easy he didn't really need to explain. First day I started to use the cooler I tasted a strong plastic taste and the water bubbled like soap when I poured it. I figured, it's new... maybe the first couple times it's just like that... Few days goes by and I still have kinda a weird after taste... I don't think much of it and continue drinking the 100oz of water I drink a day. (The whole reason I got this was because I didn't wanna drink tap water and wanted a cleaner water for my body) After 6 days, the jug needed to be replaced. As I am pulling the metal rod from the cooler I see that a rubber tube is SCOTCH TAPED to it hold the rubber piece and metal piece barley together as the scotch tape was very wet being submerged in water for 6 days... I was pretty shocked and just kept thinking... this can't be how they do this!?!? Scotch tape and a rubber tube just lingering in fresh water!? I called maintenance again and explained it as well and she seemed really confused... I sent her pictures and then got off the phone and just realized this entire process has been really frustrating.. I hope this helps the company get better, I wish I seen the 2 star status of this company before investing, i wouldn't have chose them. read more

We recently built a new house and bought an $8500.00 plus system from Culligan. It has been a very frustrating process because the system doesn't seem to be working! They will come out and take water samples and try different things and say they will check back and then we don't hear from them for months again! Very frustrated with the service and the system! That company has serviced my water system well for over 20 years but since the local provider was taken over by Culligan corp it seems they can do nothing right and have no idea how to fix a simple O-Ring leak. I'm fed up, looking for a new provider. I've had both my Well Mate (now Pentair) top fittings leaking and they have no idea what to do, wanted to sell me new tanks (ridiculous). They tried to tell me that the fitting don't exist anymore but they are standard fitting and still can be found. Arghhhhh! This has been going of for 2 years so I took it upon myself to research the problem. Any competent plumber should be able to fix them. read more

Unfortunately service has gone downhill to the point we switched to another water service. They were supposed to be by to pick everything up Thursday, no one came. We called and were advised the got behind due to weather, okay understandable. Now it is a week later Thursday no one has come still and no one has reached out to us. And it is winter so in order to not damage anything we have had to lug everything in and out the next day. This is not a great situation for people who have already had back surgery. I can guarantee I will be paying for these days also, if it turns out different I will update my review. read more

The sales person was very nice, and helpful. The price seemed good. I had them put in a water softener, a 'big blue' cartridge filter, and an under the cabinet RO filter for drinking water. We weren't living there yet, when the install was done. Oddly enough, no information was given as to how to operate and/or maintain the equipment. The install was not great, as least with the RO unit. They put the cabinet doors back, but didn't screw them in much, so the doors were loose. Not a big deal, really, I can use a screwdriver. BUT, they installed the hoses under the sink for the RO unit loosely, to the point that they eventually leaked, and damaged the bottom of the cabinet. The damage was not huge, but it did warp the wood at the bottom of the cabinet. I had MULTIPLE contacts with them about this problem. They came out once and even took pictures, and acknowledged the problem. I thought they were going to either replace the wood in the cabinet or make an offer of some sort. BUT nothing ever happened. I made multiple contacts with them to follow up. Nothing ever came of it. I will do whatever I need to to avoid doing business with them again. read more

We have used Culligan water delivery services for quite a few years now and they have always been great! Matt, our delivery man went out of his way this week to help us. We forgot to put out our empty bottle on the porch for replacing. He tried twice to call, but we didn't see his message until late. I called to let him know we were sorry we didn't get the jug out. He came by our place at the end of his shift that day (way out of his way) and brought us our fresh water. Great service! read more

I called to have them service a leak and do service. I was told I needed a new softener. I asked for a quote. The servicemen was also missing a cartridge for the RO unit. I never heard back from them. The RO unit started leaking after the service call. I was able to fiddle around with it and stop the leak. Last week it started to leak again. I called to set up an appointment. No one ever called back. I'm going to try another dealer. It seems like service and follow through have gone down for this business. read more

We has a water softener installed, we were never told it can corrode copper piping and cause things to turn blue, in January we asked them to come remove the system, the local technician refused because the salt tank was still full, after calcium built up on the float of my sewage system pump causing the pump to not work properly costing me over $200 to fix, we called the corporate office to complain. Now its may 3rd they finally came out and removed the system, but in the process they broke the main water shut off valve in my house rendering me with out water. costing me an additional $716 dollars to fix. While saying it is not their responsibility because the valve wasn't installed by them and was going to fail anyway. their tech broke it they should pay for the repair! each time we tried to call I either got the answering service and never got call back or the people were extremely rude! I really appreciate the Culligan delivery guys we've had over the years. They are very kind and respectful. An example of this is when asked to only give us bottles with handles, they were more than willing to grant our request. The water tastes great, prices are reasonable and the service is reliable.
