Previously we had a soft water system but we had issues with it. We have 7 people in our house with lot's of laundry and showers and the previous system would run out of soft water and we would have to recycle the water manually. This kineitico system has two tanks for ample soft water. The drinking water is a reverse osmosis with filters and does an excellent job with tasty water and does a better job than our previous system. Highly recommended.

We tried to arrange a maintenance appointment for our two RO systems today, but Davis declined to service the units. Davis originally installed the units and has been servicing them since they were installed. Today we were informed they no longer service 'those' units. The RO systems have been working flawlessly but it's clear that Davis wants to coerce us into buying new units. This is nothing short of a scam. We moved into our newly constructed house in May 2018 which included a reverse osmosis system under the kitchen sink. A few months later, Five Cities Water contacted us about maintaining the equipment and that started a 5 year relationship which continues to this day. Basically, a technician flushes the system, replaces any worn parts and ensures there are no leaks. The usual cost is about $200, although it was $307 in November 2023 because a major piece of equipment gets replaced every 5 years. Aaron provided the service this year and did a fine job. He was: - Flexible with the calendar - Arrived on time - Explained what he needed to do before doing it - Charged a fair price (from what I can tell) In previous years, there were no leaks after the annual visit. This time, a slow drip continued for a few hours so I called Five Cities and spoke to Chris who contacted Aaron. He drove over, quickly saw one of the O-Rings was faulty (a factory issue) and replaced it. Everything was fixed in around 5 minutes. And the next day.....Chris called to make sure we had no leaks and things were fine. We plan to keep using Five Cities Water as long as we own the house.
