After 2 more visits I have to update my review…read more Service: owner is very nice, she said hello and expressed that if I had any questions she will be there for me. The last time I came she was just just chit chatting with an employee so I'm not sure if that was typical. But on this visit she was very accommodating. Selection: nothing much changed in this category. They've got just an ok array of items... but I did learn that she sells online as well so that explains how she's still in business. Maybe sells the good stuff online and whatever's left she sells in the store, which is a good business model. I guess.... Value: I'd say just find their website and buy from there. Cause the stuff in the store is nothing to travel over for. Items in the store are nothing interesting.

I asked the woman behind the counter if I could bring some of my clothing in for consignment. She was very snippy and told me she was "done for the day" this was 4pm. She said I should come back at 10am another day. She had some hair clips on the counter--I was looking for a certain one. I opened the clip and it fell apart in my hand! She watched me open the clip and saw it fall apart. Very discussed she took the clip and did something on her computer/register and threw it away. I looked around and found a Tommy Hilfiger sweater coat. I liked it but didn't want to purchase it because this woman was so rude. I bought it anyway. I will never come back to this store or recommend it to anyone else. This store is nothing special and certainly not worth your time. Instead go north a few miles to Rochester. The New To You consignment shop is wonderful and the women that work there helpful and very friendly. They take your clothing at any time of day and will either donate or give you any clothing they do not want. The shop has been in this location a long time and very organized.

The Thrifter Sisters - Cute accessories

The Thrifter Sisters is a must-visit place (and one of my secret places) for Lilly treasure! My most recent score was a hard to find Lilly maxi in a stunning print that was priced like a dream! (I also have a new blazer from here that I bought for a dollar-yes one dollar). The Thrifter Sisters was started by three sisters and they have the best stuff. They have a huge variety of name-brand pieces (think everything from Maurice's and Kohls to Carhartt and Janie and Jack Kids) and it's so fun to pop in and see what they have. They also have a room of children's clothes (this is located where the old Kinder Kloset store was). They also sell new hair bows and a small selection of new kids toys too. Thrifter Sisters is clean and they keep their inventory well organized. I liked that they had a lot of brand new accessories for adults and hair bows for kids. There is plenty of free parking and another gift store next door. There is also a yummy coffee shop nearby and a nearby consignment and crystal store that are both great. Everyone is also super genuine and fun to talk to. P.S. thank you again for finding that gorgeous Lilly dress!!!

Burlington Menswear - As tight as the neck tie got. Not great

The shop is clean and well kept. I found their prices to be on par with other rental shops that I've used in recent years. For convenience we were able to leave our tuxes for collection from employees at the venue (the nearby Mercantile Hall). As much as I would like to give them a perfect review, I cannot because of some issues that arose. As we were changing shortly before the ceremony the best man noticed that his neck tie was broken as it did not include a clip (the ties are pre-tied and work by clipping the ends around the neck and then tightening). He almost had to forgo wearing a tie, but thankfully an employee at the venue was able to work some magic with some pins. The other issue was that I am not the largest guy. When I tried tightening my neck tie it was very loose and could not get any tighter. Before I get accused of not being able to properly tighten it, NUMEROUS people did their best to assist and came to the same conclusion that it could not get any tighter. We tried pinning it, but it still did not look very good. You can see for yourself in the picture I've included. It's disappointing to pay the amount that we did with the results that we got. I suggest staff remember to measure customers necks and make sure an appropriate sized tie is available with future customers. They also need to up their quality control and carefully inspect each piece that they send out (missing tie clip). Overall the experience was comparable to "Men's Warehouse" as opposed to a higher end shop. *10/7/21 update The shop did reach out and apologized for the problems (which is appreciated). There's really nothing else that can be done at this point as the event is over and the pictures are all taken. The representative that apologized mentioned that they could have corrected the problem had we brought it to their attention, but I would like to remind them that my brother's wedding was on a Sunday and although the venue was just down the street from the rental shop, they are CLOSED on Sundays.

This particular Kohl's leaves me a bit perplexed. A Kohl's? In Burlington? Why?…read more This Kohl's is located right down the street from my parents, who happen to be in the Rochester area. So, of course anything "new" that opens in that area is a really BIG DEAL, and while my sister was in town we went to check the new Kohl's out. It was your typical Kohl's. Not much else to elaborate on. The aisles were clean and well-organized, but I'm guessing that has more to do with the lack of foot traffic more than anything. When we went, we were literally the only customers in this store, with the cashiers just standing around and gossiping. The worst part of our experience was the teenage cashier. While ringing us up, she started hounding me about the Kohl's charge card, and why it would be a great idea for me to get one. She was doing the familiar old sales pitch you get at every Kohl's. I told her I used to work at Corporate, and I didn't need to get their charge card since I know how that works. Her attitude changed after that - she went from OK to having a surly demeanor. Seriously Kohl's, listen to your customers. Odds are, if they are anything like me, they hate getting a hounding sales pitch - especially at the check out, when all they want to do is get out the door.
