Top notch service.Fresh delicious food, especially loved the Almond Chicken! Sesame balls aren't easy to find in a Chinese restaurant- if you're a fan, they're on point. Clean and welcoming, stop by & try it!

Great staff, friendly service, wonderful food! Wanted to bring sister for a birthday lunch around 4th of July but forgot that the restaurant is closed for vacation for most of July. Reopens on July 22nd. See you then!

4 stars: good We had previously gone to this restaurant years ago and we did not like it. They must have come under new management because our overall experience was much better. All of the food was great and reasonably priced. The portions were large, and we had plenty of leftovers. I highly recommend the walnut shrimp. The restaurant was clean. Our service was a little slow, but it was not bad enough to negatively impact my review. We will go again!

Combo #7 almond chicken sauce was tasty!

Waited and waited to order... then waited and waited some more for our drinks.... Tick tock tick tock... after 59 minutes from placing our food order we decided to leave... we were too hungry and could wait no more. Something is wrong and very slow disorganized in the kitchen Bummer.

First time. Excellent food. Veggies crisp and fresh. The sweet and sour chicken was made with good meat. Service was good and restaurant clean. I recommend and will come again.

I live in a city that's highly populated by Chinese immigrants and American born Chinese folks like myself. There's plenty of authentic Chinese food where I live. When I say authentic, I mean like legit dishes you would find in Mainland China. However besides Panda Express, I always wanted to check out what American Chinese food taste like in a small town or city that barely has any ethnic populations. I was traveling from Missoula to Spokane and found Chinatown Restaurant when I made a pit stop in Coeur d'Alene. The workers at the restaurants were welcoming, friendly, and attentive which is a plus. They had a lunch special which is quite affordable. For around $10 you can get an entree that comes with fried rice or noodles and soup. I got the General Tsao chicken, and it was pretty good for Americanized Chinese food. My partner got Moo Goo Gai Pan, which is something you would not see on the menu at an Americanized Chinese restaurnat where I live. It was a rather interesting dish with chicken and veggies topped with gravy. It wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't terrible. Overall, I'd go again because the place is clean, good service and good lunch special.

Food had very little taste and bland. Service was good and restaurant was clean. But, not authentic Chinese in our opinion.

Ask the Community - Chinatown Restaurant

Are there any gluten free options on the menu?

    Call them and ask

Did they change their phone number? Tried to call and it won't go through.

    The number is 1-208-666-6288. Works

Do they add MSG? It gives my husband migraines.

Hi Kristin, we don’t use MSG in our food.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this shop. It has a very warm and welcoming feel, with tall ceilings that make the space feel open and airy. When I first arrived it was quite busy, filled with families laughing and enjoying their time together, which created a lively and friendly environment. As someone who is more introverted, the crowd was a bit overwhelming at first, but it eventually cleared out and became a very comfortable place to relax. The staff were also incredibly kind. Since I had never tried a macaron before, I ordered a rose macaron to taste, and it was absolutely delicious. They also gave me a complimentary sample of their coffee, which was excellent. It was the house blend. And the bags they sell are very reasonably priced. The café is very well priced, with drinks ranging the $5-8 mark, and the foods ranging $3-8- and the quality of the food and drinks are quite rich in taste! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be coming back.

The shop has a beautiful, inviting atmosphere and immediately makes you feel warm and welcome. The macarons and pastries were fresh, light, and full of flavor, clearly made with care and attention to detail. What made the experience even more special was the people. Claire, the owner, is such a kind and friendly person. She personally takes the time to talk with her customers and make them feel genuinely welcomed, even with her busy schedule. That personal touch really stood out to me. I also want to mention Luna, who was incredibly helpful. She was smiling, welcoming, and serving everyone with such a joyful heart. You could tell that she genuinely cared about the customers and took pride in what she was doing. Everything was beautifully presented, and the whole experience felt personal and welcoming. If you're visiting Coeur d'Alene for the first time, I highly recommend stopping by Florette! Bakeshop. It's a charming place with delicious treats, wonderful people, and excellent service. No other customers were there and the ambience was quiet. There were a variety of cookies to choose from that day and the employee helping described each one I asked about. I chose the Sticky Bear and the Sunshine Bear. My friend also got a Sticky Bear and a Fudgey Bear. Sticky Bear: A molasses cookie that was pretty good and soft. No crunch and more doughy-like, but didn't seem to be undercooked either. Sunshine Bear: A lemon frosted sweet dough cookie that was very sweet with subtle lemon, not tart lemon. No crunch and was doughy, slightly undercooked. Fudgey Bear: A gluten free flourless chocolate cookie with chocolate chips that made for a rich chocolatey cookie. It had way more crunch than the other two cookies I tried. Pretty decent for an alternative cookie. Some people like soft baked cookies, some people like cookies with more of a crunch--I don't discriminate and like all cookies and my preferred texture just depends on my mood. Based on the other reviews, I would say try this place if you like a softer cookie. As I was leaving I did notice store hours out front were blank. Maybe hours are changing for the summer?
