Ran by a mother and daughter duo (I think?), the theme is an Alice in Wonderland meets a Cajun New Orleans situation. It feels like you somehow wandered into a slightly spooky Disney bayou attraction that also happens to serve brunch. Decorated to the nines and immersive, it is both a meal and an experience. We went for an early Sunday breakfast and were seated quickly. By the time we left around 9 there were still a handful of open tables, but I would guess reservations are smart from 9:30 on. I started with a cortado made with Evan's Brothers beans. They also offer a chicory blend if that is your thing. Our waitress was attentive, answered all of our questions, and was great about a few modifications we asked for. They do have some gluten free and vegetarian options, though not a huge amount of gluten free. We started with the beignets and they were excellent. Perfect portion for two with a couple topping options. I would go back just for those. I ordered their take on eggs Benedict and my husband had the classic breakfast plate. Both were really flavorful, but the seasoned potatoes were a standout. Portions are generous, we ended up getting two more portions out of the leftovers. If you're in Coeur d'Alene, you absolutely have to go to 10/6 for brunch. This place feels like you stepped straight into Alice in Wonderland. The ambiance is magical, the food is amazing, and the staff is so incredibly kind. At exactly 10:06, the owner came out and gave the sweetest speech that literally had us crying happy tears at the table. It felt so personal and special. Ambiance was stellar but food was 3 stars. They have the decor down perfectly. The food was disappointing, however. Out of the 4 of us, 3 were disappointed with our meal and the 4th was a child with just egg, bacon and fruit. My gumbo was spicy but lacked more flavor and should have included shrimp. The rice and beans had a weird aftertaste and the chicken sandwich was just dull. The server was nice but it took 25 minutes for us to get our food after ordering. The only high point was the beignets, which were served with a delicious lemon curd. I'm not sure if I would go back because it was pretty expensive, but I really love the atmosphere. read more

On a whim, we made a reservation for 8 AM for a "just because we both have the rare day of" breakfast date, and it was wonderful! We shared the beignets with the coconut lime curd, as well as the monte cristo and eggs benedict. I love the set up with the many decorations which are modified for both Halloween and Christmas with plenty of Nightmare before Christmas references on top of their Alice in Wonderland theme. The thing about themed restaurants, is the food is usually subpar. That is not the case with Ten/6. They have delicious food. The items we ordered, both times we were there, were really good! I will say that I would appreciate regular hollandaise sauce over their thick cheesy gravy on the Egg Benedict's. But the croissant dish, omelets, coffee drinks and hot chocolate were all first rate. My son also loves the decor and enjoys playing Eye Spy while looking for the various decorations on the list. It's a fun place with delicious food. The servers are a class act as well. This is such a cool and unique place that offers a one of a kind ambiance. First time I've ever had beignets (same for my two teenagers) and we all thought they were delicious. Our server was Ella and she was so incredibly friendly and warm and made us feel special on this Easter Sunday brunch occasion. Our son had Hakuna Matacos, my wife had the Eggs Royale and I had Miss Ella's French toast (yes, named after and for our server Ella!). Our daughter had the Mad Platter. Everybody loved their food and thought it was all absolutely delicious. They also had a special Deviled Eggs on the menu today with it being Easter Sunday. That was fantastic as well. I'm torn. I REALLY enjoyed the menu and the ambiance and my actual food at the table! I ordered The Count and my friend got the tacos. HOWEVER...my other friend wasn't able to order anything. She has celiac problems, but before going, we figured she could probably order a plain salad or something to that nature. When she asked about one of the salads there, the super friendly server said that it came with croutons and deep fried prosciutto. She figured she could order that without those two items, and the the server inquired what sort of allergies did she have. She explained she had celiac problems and he told her that there's flour everywhere in the back, so there's a high chance there would be dustings of flours on the prepared foods. She said she thought that might be okay and then she looked at him and explained they maybe she'd be bette off not ordering anything. I know it probably put the server in a tough spot, but he looked at her and smiled and said, "Yeah, that would probably be a good choice." The three of us at the table were a bit dumbfounded that there wasn't ANY solution or suggestion that could make our lunch work out for all of us (and we didn't think to look at a menu prior to going bc most everywhere has something to cater to people with GF needs). So, my friend sat there with water and watched the two of us eat and we felt badly, but we didn't know what else to do. So, from MY perspective with no allergies, I had a good time (though my Count "Monte Cristo" was a bit burnt), it was a huge disappointment for our friend.
