Caveat emptor: I love Culver's and have been going there since they opened in Wisconsin. Why the 3 stars? This location needs to fix their drive up system. My salad (see photo of blue cheese bacon grilled chicken) was not ready when I paid (how long can it take to make a salad?), so they slapped a number on my side view mirror (see photo). I pulled up and the parking lot area marked for my number 5 was blockaded!! I had to drive around the entire lot and drive into the barricaded area, which was really tough to get out of because I had to cross the ordering car line. Not customer friendly. The salad was just ok. Nice chicken, bacon and cheese. But the veggies were minimal - spring mix, a couple slices of cuke and a couple small tomato wedges. Could have used a little carrot for color if nothing else. The chocolate malt was superb. They always have the best custard. read more

Went thru drive thru and they literally screwed up my whole order but besides that after going thru again to get my food it wasn't bad

This is the worst-run Culver's in the country. We keep giving this restaurant additional chances since we've lived all around the Midwest and Culver's is usually reliable. Somehow, though, this location keeps getting worse. Slow service, missing items, cold food, this place has it all. In late summer, I ordered two sundaes at the counter. I watched four Culver's employees stand around and chat for twenty minutes before one roused herself and made the sundaes. Last month, I stopped to pick up dinner for my family. They managed to mess up every item I ordered, either by adding or removing ingredients. Why even ask what your customers want on their burgers? Last week, we decided to give Culver's one more chance and pick up lunch on a Saturday. We were the eighth car in the drive-through line. It took 49 minutes to get our food! We could have sat down at Texas Roadhouse next door, ordered drinks, gotten food, and paid the bill in the time it took them to serve a dozen cars. And, they got our order wrong again! We received a double burger with no toppings instead of a single with everything, an ice-cold chicken sandwich that had only pickles when we ordered everything except pickles, and a concrete mixer that was not mixed at all--just cookie chunks on the bottom of a cup of ice cream. we go to Culver's expecting it'll ba a cut above other fast food restaurants. this one at 13th ave today was the worst I've seen any fast food place. Even Taco Bell is cleaner and faster. We chose to dine in being we had a trailer today. The floor had garbage all over it. All the ketchup dispensers and straws were empty. The guy at the counter was just non energetic and took orders at a snails pace - I swear the whole place just had a Colorado vibe, like everyone was stoned and moving in slow motion! it took 20 minutes for our food to get to our table and then hubbys burger was like warm and my salad was half wilted and the salad tomatoes were half way to raisin stage... who would serve up food that looks like that!?! just gross. the entire time (35min) we were there nobody wiped any tables down. The carpet all over the dining room was filthy with food and garbage all over it. Gross!!! not sure if I'll return ever again. read more

Absolutely disgusting! Could not find a clean table when we ordered at 1:00, after a lunch rush when things should have been cleaned, so we cleaned one ourselves. We were in the restaurant a FULL HOUR and not one table was cleaned. Clearly there is no active management.. or if there is, it's incompetent. This is a solid place to get a meal. The burgers here are a step or two above most other fast food spots. Mine was excellent...juicy and hot. Clearly made to order. Fries are also good. I can't speak to any other food that isn't a burger, but they do have a good variety of hot eats. I love that they use 100% USA beef, even if it makes their prices a bit more then the competition (which is, unfortunately, a reality). The custard is what rules the place, though. It is beyond good. Creamy and delicious. I recommend a mixer with vanilla and Reese's. You can never go wrong with that combination. read more

Ditch McDonald's and forget Burger King! If you want good burgers and even better fries, you need to go to Culver's. The burgers here are stupendous, light years ahead of the typical fast food chain burger. They proudly boast on their food package (burger wrappers, French fry paper holder things, etc) that everything is cooked to order. I don't know about that - it's not like I could just go back into the kitchen to check on that - but I definitely taste how much better it is than the Golden Arches! You want a good burger? Worst customer service ever! They may make a mean milkshake, but where they really need to improve is how they deal with the customers! On two separate occasions, they "accidently" double-charged my credit card for our orders! The first time it happened, it was an accident; the second time was just plain carelessness and an unwillingness to properly train their employees. After that, we learned to only pay with cash. That's not the main reason why I'm giving them 1-star (although it did help). The reason is what happened earlier this evening. After running errands for two hours, I called my wife and asked her what I should bring home for dinner. She said that she was craving Culver's, so I swung by and went through their drive-thru. When I got home, I discovered that they had forgotten our cheese curds (not the first time that they had forgotten something in our order, either), so I went back to get them. They had about six employees up front, but only two of them were helping customers; the rest were just standing around like deer in the headlights. After waiting nearly ten minutes in line, I showed the young lady who was helping me that we did not receive our cheese curds. All she said to me was, "Um; ok", turned and talked to another girl behind her, and then yelled to the cooks that she needed an order of cheese curds. After another five minutes, she handed me a bag and said, "There you go". That's it? No apology? No offer to make it right with a discount, or a gift certificate for next time? Well, I decided that there's not going to be a next time. We're through with the mediocre staff at this place! There are plenty of other fast food chains to accept our business, and they will get it! read more

This Culver's has disappeared me again and again with their dry burgers and slow service. They greet you with smiling faces and the ice cream you order but fail to tell you that you will be waiting for a cheeseburger for 15 minutes and once you receive it you will clearly be able to tell it sat there for a few minutes and they warmed it back up with the microwave. But 10 out of 10 for the ice cream the rest of the food sucks. read more

I was very disappointed in my trip to this culvers today. Growing up I went to the original culvers at least 1 time a week. This was my first time to this particular store. I ordered a scoop of vanilla custard to remind me of back home. But it was DISGUSTING and the manager was the worst!! I called the corporate number. The franchise owner is supposed to call me after a follow up with the store. We'll see. I won't go back to this one. Had my green beans not been under cooked and my mashed potatoes not been cold I would've gave 5 stars. The fish was hot and fresh. The cheese curds are always good. The staff is friendly. The food is good, orders have always been spot-on. Fries are delicious, big ol' fat crinkle fries. Burgers are kind of confusing to order if you've never been here before, and they don't really explain it to you. They come 100% PLAIN (regardless of what you see on the menu)... you have to specify any and all toppings/condiments you want, so FYI. Only complaint is the drive-thru... can barely hear/understand whomever is talking. read more

Always wanted to try Culvers however never lived near one. Stopped in fargo on our way to alaska. Decided to try it. My friend who has had culvers raved about the butter burgers. So I have grown up eating Steak and Shake. They have a Wisconsin buttery burger. Its delicious. It drips with butter and cheese and bacon. So i assumed since culvers said they are the original butter burger itd be close to the same. Sadly i learned just the buns are toasted with butter i guess. Aren't all buns done that way? Anyway. So it was good. We did enjoy it. However if your naming it a butter burger GIVE ME BUTTER! Id eat there again. It did taste fresh. read more
