I honestly can't remember the burger I had, but I remember that I wanted to have it with the strawberry aioli and they were happy to make the change for me. I am a little obsessed with fries - they are my crush - these have to be some of the best fries I have every had. I will be back

After I ordered I saw 10 other people with order numbers in their hand so that was an indication of the wait we were about to endure. We had to stand for a bit before a table was available. It took 45 minutes before the food arrived. Now the food. It was good enough to say I'll try it again. If it wasn't for the generous portion of fries I would have left hungry. I'd be happy to pay $18 for two sliders and half the amount of fries. Fries were good but most likely a premade frozen fry nothing unique. The size of the burger was honestly comparable to the McBurger not the Big Mac (smaller and less meat). Couldn't have been more than 1/4 lb. Very thin. Yes I know it's a smash burger but paper thin and didn't pour out of an already tiny bun. I ordered the heat burger. It came with pepper jack cheese jalapeños and aïoli sauce. I dipped it in ketchup b/c it seemed dry. The 9 year old ordered the classic with added bacon. I'd say add the 3rd patty for $3 to make the meat to bun ratio closer to equal.

I had heard of Burger Detour before, and my husband said they used to be around when he was a kid…read more It turns out someone just bought the name and branding rights and re-opened it all these years later. We decided to try them out when we were in Elkhorn for our cats' vet appointment, and were driving by. Their branding is almost like a construction style with black, white, and yellow arrows and traffic sign style accents. We went through the drive through, so I can't speak for the interior, unfortunately (didn't want to leave the cats in the car, obviously, to eat inside). The food quality, I will say was not the greatest. It was definitely plentiful, though, if that's something that you look for. As an example, we got the "slider" burgers which came with four "sliders" - I use quotes for "slider" because these were huge, about the same size as a full-sized burger anywhere else. Now, a huge size does not a good burger make. The burgers were just okay, being a little bit burned and sort of flavorless overall. Their fries/frix were also kind of "meh" with not a lot of salt or flavor. Using a lot of ketchup, mayo, and salt - you can save these and the burgers, but you shouldn't have to do that yourself. One thing I DID like, though, were the mini corn dogs. I used to love getting those at Runza before they stopped making them. Yes, I am a 5 year old and love mini corn dogs. The Burger Detour ones were pretty good, but you can't much go wrong with frying these up. I would return to Burger Detour for the mini corndogs, but not a lot else, unless I want to doctor them up myself at home.

This is the second location for Burger Detour here in Omaha (supposedly a third to open near 120th…read moreand L). I've been to both locations multiple times each, but have not reviewed this particular location. I love the simplicity of the menu - burgers, chicken, and fries. Some variations of each, but just these things done well. Fries have been hot and fresh each time I visited. The burgers are good - tasty with good amount of toppings, but patties are somewhat under-seasoned. However, the food is reasonably priced, good quality for a burger, and the staff is always super friendly. There are usually younger teens working and they have a great attitude (which usually indicates great management). And they are heavily involved with schools in the local community - if you don't believe me, check out their socials! Overall, I've been impressed with both locations over multiple visits and will continue to return.

Always on the lookout for delicious pizza, I ordered takeout from Timber Creek. Online ordering is…read moreeasy, and it was mid-afternoon, so turnaround time was pretty quick. Pizza was ready right on time, and the smell was great all the way home. Initially, I was disappointed in the side salad, as it came in a box approximately the size of a big Mac box. I paid $5 for this? But when I poured it into a standard cereal bowl at home, I had to level up because there was so.much.salad! And it was fresh, and delicious. Toppings on the pizza were generous, and it looked great. Cupping pepperoni can be a little spicy, and the sauce had a little spice as well, but was very good. I got the standard crust (vs thin crust), and maybe standard is the best thing I can say about it. It was meh. Not fluffy, not chewy, just better than frozen. Everything was cooked well though, and I applaud that. Lots of pepperoni, olives and maybe not quite as many mushrooms, but a fair amount. I'd go back, this time trying the thin crust. Timber Creek has a fair amount going for it -- and friendly staff to boot!

I liked the variety of unique pizzas on the menu, but when it came time to add the actual unique toppings, they fell short. I had the street corn pizza, and there couldn't have been more than a tablespoon of chorizo on the entire pizza. Additionally, the sauce on top had a gross mayo-ish texture. If I were to return, I think I would play it safe and stick to the classics.
