The food is good and the service pretty fast inside. The drive thru can take a while because they make the food to order, in case you forget, that there's a big sign reminding you. It is worth the wait. The inside is clean, has plenty of seating and invites sitting awhile to visit with people. One thing bothers me though, what is with the buttered toast served with the chicken strips? It's not garlic bread so I don't understand the purpose but my dog loves it. read more

I like this DQ. It's not particularly remarkable, since all DQs are pretty much the same. But what's nice about this one is that their staff is consistently friendly and efficient. Like genuinely friendly, not the "I have to be nice because you're the customer" sort of fake friendliness. They seem to be authentically nice people, and we have found it to be this way for the 3 years we've been coming here. And the place is clean. Always. So, while it's an ordinary Dairy Queen in many ways, it's pleasantly remarkable in ways that are especially nice. It's worth a stop if you're in town and have a hankering for a Dilly Bar or a Meal Deal (which really is a pretty good bargain). read more

Best place for ice cream in town. If you wait it's because they are actually cooking your food fresh and not taking it out of a warmer. They remember what I order and the blizzards are packed with stuff. They do, thankfully, employ a lot of high school kids, so they are learning and if they make a mistake, they make it right for you. Who can beat Dairy Queen?! Well, several locations in Omaha, where I live, are less-than-tidy. Or somewhere that you'd actually like to dine. I've been so disappointed in DQ that I nearly didn't try the store in Wahoo. All I can say is, "yahoo!" Customer Service? Yes. Clean dining room? U betcha. The food and service was fantastic! The chicken was AMAZINGGG and of course the cheese curds are irresistible! The service was even better, as soon as I walked in I was served. Why have the app if you wont honor it? Order was wrong, no big deal. But one of the employees literally walked right past me three times as though I were invisible while I was waiting to rectify it. Alright so here's the deal with this DQ: save your trips to DQ for when you go into Lincoln or Omaha. This one just can't seem to pull it off. The orders get messed up, the workers are having conversations and cracking jokes with their friends in the drivethru microphone while you sit there at the window waiting, and my favorite part is that they haven't given me a lid in my life. My favorite thing is being handed a blizzard out to my car window in the rain with no lid (March 2018). I doubt this place will ever change, and it's too bad there isn't a better option for ice cream in town. If there were, that's where I'd go. read more

My husband and I love Dairy Queen, but the one in Wahoo is at best mediocre. The service is slow, and only once have the not messed up our order out of the handful of times we've been there. I never get lids on my ice cream to go; like, who can drive with a banana split with no lid!? I get most are high school workers, but it's time to step it up! read more
