Culver's - Burgers Near Me - Huntley, Illinois

Visited Yesterday and ordered the 10 Piece Shrimp dinner the shrimp were the worst I ever had. It was 90 percent coating and 10 Percent Shrimp. When they butterflied the Shrimp it was only about 1/8 " shrimp and the rest coating. I have always had good meals here and I go here about once every other week. Won't have the Shrimp ever again. read more

The bun-less Pub burger on a plate I went in to the Huntley's Culvers at 8:45 PM Friday evening. The menu behind the counter has a large ad for the Garlic & Bacon Pub Burger. Although I'm not a Culver's fan, I succumb and order the pub burger. The guy at the register says, "Oh, I'm sorry we're out of the buns, but we put the contents on a plate for you". I was really taken aback. How appetizing is the contents of a bunless burger dumped on a plate? I really didn't want to investigate whether it's stacked or spread out or what, but I'm not sure if any culinary school teaches the presentation of a bunless burger. Given prior Culvers' experiences with cold hamburgers and stale buns, it was probably a blessing, so I passed on the bunless-burger-on-a-plate and went to sit with my wife. My wife asked why I didn't get anything and I told her they were out of hamburger buns. Just then a server walks by with a burger with a bun. My wife accosts the server to ask why I couldn't get a burger with a bun when there are clearly buns for the burgers. The server delivers her food and runs off to check, despite my protestation that I wasn't really interested, my appetite having disappeared at the prospect of a bunless-burger-on-a-plate. The server returns and informs my wife that the pub burger is a special bun and that special bun is not available, but regular buns are available. Just another Culvers experience. read more

Culver's can it be More consistent than this ? no mistakes, no overcooked burgers, no burned fries, etc, etc. We're there at least once a week for Fish, chicken or burger....definitely not the DOUBLE BURGER...wife & I couldn't finis one WITH fries. This place always hits the top of ratings list...usually near five guys or in & out burger....but always near or on top. Drive thru is very poor and very slow . No customer service friendliness about menu items. The lady taking order was very rude once taking the order. Seemed upset explaining parts of the food items like she was yelling not enjoying her job. Argues with you about pulling your car up when you don't have the room to pull your car up. read more

We've come to this Culver's several times because we have family nearby, but unfortunately, the experience is consistently frustrating. The service is slow--even when we order ahead, we end up waiting far too long. On top of that, the orders are rarely correct. One time my salad came with undercooked chicken, which is just unacceptable. Worse, the staff isn't particularly friendly. On a past visit, an employee actually barked at my daughter, which left a really bad impression. We've had great experiences at other Culver's locations, so we know the standard can be much higher. I have never been a fan of "fast food" places, and have resolved to live out the balance of my life without another McDonalds or Whopper to assault my digestive system. But my wife kept insisting that Culver's was different, and make their burgers when you order them. We tried it once, and I was more than willing to go back. The carry out service was quick and efficient, but the big thing is the quality of the burger. It is good, much better than I had any right to expect. So now, when we are in somewhat of a hurry and want to take a sandwich home, Cuilver's is our go-to place. read more

You are within five minutes. I place specific orders as I fail to get hit food from you. I ordered the Shrimp and the pretzel bites ...I pay and pull up. Girl brings me pretzel bites and tells me shrimp will be up in a bit. I politely tell her I want hot pretzel bites with my order that I wasn't going to eat them in the car. That I was going home. Order comes up a bit later. Lukewarm. But this time you remembered bread and coleslaw. Kiddos to you. AND here is exactly what your employee did. They REHEATED the pretzel bites so YES they were hot but HARD as rocks. I was going to drive back and hand them to you but threw them out. Your location has failed many times to deliver quality.... Culvers is always wonderful and delicious! We were graciously welcomed as we entered the establishment. Our group ordered a variety of sandwiches which everyone enjoyed. The staff is sooooo friendly. All the (for lack of a better word) clean up crew who cruised the restaurant with towels and brooms welcomed us warmly and thanked us for visiting. Flavorless food. Super fast melting custard. Employee charged me for a bigger size when I asked for a small. The employee making it heard me and had made the small one. When I said...hey...you said $2.63 originally, not $3.63. Instead of correcting the error inputting the wrong size in the cash register, she insisted she'd said $3.63 and made the other girl make a bigger serving. Which I hadn't wanted. I don't eat that much ice cream, custard or soft serve. A medium or regular small (I like the child's sized servings if I can get them.) is always too much for me. We LOVE Culver's but in OVER A YEAR this Huntley location doesn't have (and won't order) ANY Marinara sauce! Every single time we order cheese curds this location says that they don't have ANY marinara sauce and try to force us to use "ranch". It destroys the whole experience and Culver's cheese curds taste terrible with ranch. We just want marinara sauce with our cheese curds. We have complained to management and complained to everyone, but this Huntley location just doesn't care! In over a year, they havent had Marinara sauce is over a year! We finally gave up and stopped going to Huntley Culver's, it's the absolute worst run Culver's we have ever seen or been to, and we go to Algonquin or Lake In The Hills now (it's worth the extra drive). This Huntley location is terrible. Terrible management. Terrible owners. Not sure why in over a year nobody can order a case of Marinara Sauce. In February my boyfriend and I decided to drive to Chicago the night before an early flight out of O'Hare to stay with a friend so we could sleep in a couple hours later than if we drove straight there from Madison. We got a bit of a late start, though, and our plans to take our friend to dinner when we arrived got nixed. Culver's is my go-to road trip stop, so I asked my boyfriend to check the map to see if we could find one nearby. We were coming up on Huntley so we exited and headed over. The only negative I can point to about this location is that to exit from the interstate you have to have an I-Pass or pay online to both exit and enter the highway (there's no tollbooth operator or coin bin). The restaurant is also quite a bit off the highway - it's only a few minutes' drive, but it'd be nice if it was a quick on and off from the highway. Not a dig in my actual rating, just a note for travelers. The restaurant was pretty dead around 8 PM on a Wednesday night, with just one adult woman and her elderly mother dining in. Because it was so quiet, we had the displeasure of listening to the woman nag on and sass her mother for the duration of the meal. The food was hot and fresh and exactly what'd you'd expect as far as a Culver's goes. It's a larger location so there's plenty of places to sit. The staff was friendly enough and we got our food quickly (but not so quickly that it seemed pre-made). On a weird note, the bathrooms had really nice glass mosaic tile that I heard another person comment on at the same time I noticed it. TL;DR - a nice, standard Culver's location that is a slightly removed from the interstate. read more

We enjoy eating at Culver's - the food is good, the frozen custard is delicious. Prices are a little high, but you can be thrifty and order one of the snack pack options. Smaller fries and drink, but that way you have room for dessert. And, you can't go wrong with the cheese curds. Also, they are always helping the community with their fundraisers; if it isn't the local school, it's a local animal shelter, etc. It's good to give business to businesses that give back. read more

Five star fast-food restaurant to me! We get full on the kids' meals, and we like the food. Here's why - you get either a 2-pc chicken tender offer or a burger (options incl cheese, bacon), fries (or fruit), and a sm beverage - plus a one-scoop ice cream with a topping! The food is good and always cooked right. But lately things are missing from our order. We've been missing French fries or cheese sauce. we don't always check before we leave and that's on us. However even when we have checked we would either have to wait in a really long line again just to tell them they forgot something OR we would have to park and drag our child(ren) into the restaurant to get our missing item(s). Who doesn't like a good butterburger every once in a while? No one that I know at least. Culver's in Huntley has a great location. They aren't too far off of the highway. It's easy to get in and out of their parking lot. Their food is served hot which is always a plus. And...wait for it...if you're picking up food for a senior citizen (like the grandparents across the street in Del Webb), you can get the senior citizen discount for them. This is a major plus because it's difficult for grandma to get in and out sometimes, so if she's buying, I can still get her the discount that she's looking for. Very cool, Culver's. Culvers is one of my favorite fast food places. It's probably just because they have ice cream. This is the new Culvers location in Huntley. I guess they outgrew the gas station location and had to move north. I do find it funny that the "old" location was probably built in 2010 and they already had to open a new place. The location is nice and of course, everything is new and looks great. That said, I think they are going through a little bit of growing pains with the new place. The staff still seems a little bit unorganized but I'm sure they will figure it out with time. We had been there when they had been open less than a month. In the drive through line for 10 minutes, finally placed my order at the mic. with the girl talking over me while I'm trying to place the order. I repeat myself, she repeats the order back, wait another 10 min. Get the food only to discover the order is wrong after getting home. Dropped $40 for a simple burger meal for my family only to get ripped off again. Not the 1st time not the 2nd time but 3 out of 5 visits our order is wrong. Absolutely infuriating. Is it the public schools? Are they listening, or paying attention at all when orders are being placed? Or maybe the ridiculous masking of these kids are causing their brains to turn to mush.
