This is a locals favorite! A sports bar/pub, with a fully stocked bar and great menu. They have updated their menu as of February 2025. Some of my favorites are gone, but many are still there. Frustrating that you add a service charge for debit card payments. It is against the law. When I asked the bartender about it she told me there is no way for their system to differentiate credit from debit so any card used is charged. When my husband said "you know that's against the law?" Her snotty remark was ... No, the laws have changed and we have been doing this since Covid. If it was against the law we would be shut down by now" and then walked away to another customer. Very rude. This is in fact the law. So, what can be done about this? I really like Randall Roadhouse. Me and my wife have been going here a lot lately. We always go for the nachos because they're amazing - big and tasty. We share them, and it's a perfect combo with a cold Miller Light for lunch or dinner. The place is big and roomy, good for big groups, but we usually sit at the bar. The service is always nice, and the bartenders are cool. Plus, the food comes out fast. It's just a great spot overall. read more

The food was good. I ordered an open faced tuna melt. My husband had the chicken tenders with ranch dipping sauce. My husband said those chicken tenders were quite tasty with the ranch dressing. The tuna melt was basic and good. The fries I got with my meal were very salty. More salty than normal. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. It reminded me of a Rookies type of restaurant / bar. The service was top notch and the waitstaff are attentive and friendly. This is a nice place to hang out. The food is so so but acceptable for bar food. The service however, has either been mediocre or terrible. Waitresses will go in the back and get lost for 20 minutes and then come back and ask you if you want anything. And if you come back in another time, they give you attitude even though you've tipped 15% or more. Tables are sticky in the bathrooms could used to be cleaned a little more often. We ordered online from here, and got the Veggie Combo Platter, Calamari with Marinara sauce, and 15 piece naked wings with Teriyaki sauce. The only one we liked was the wings, which are a bit small for the price, with online ordering it was $24.75 for 15 wings. The teriyaki sauce was delicious. The two pieces each of carrot sticks and celery sticks looked old so we didn't eat them at all. Unfortunately the veggie combo platter and calamari weren't crispy and were quite soggy by the time we picked up and went home (about 10 min drive away). The prices were quite high for the appetizers, and we likely won't be ordering from here again. The total for the 3 appetizers was about $60. read more

Been physically going here for many, many years and ordering To-Go's from time to time in those years as well. Tonight (Sunday) an hour and a half before close, I was craving thin crust cheese pizza but didn't want to leave the house cause I'm sicker than a dog. The Ring camera goes off and the nicest delivery guy heads up to the house. He was so prompt and gave a little, "one piping hot pie right here" as he slid it out of the bag on the porch. He mentioned how grateful he was for the $10 tip and it blew my mind that his last order on a busy weekend made his entire week. I called back after he left because he was so gracious and such a nice kid, that I just had to give him a little more. I got his name from the host who answered the phone again and was sweeter than pie. His name is Nate B. Nate, keep being a great person. Your kindness went a long way tonight and I know it will for your future too. The food always hits the spot and if you order anything outside of pizza, the servings are always over the top. The place is definitely the bang for your buck and has a great ambiance when you do go inside as well. I also know that the owner passed rather recently so if you have a bad experience as some recent reviews here on Yelp state, please understand they might be working out some kinks. No place is always perfect. And if you order food To-Go and religiously stiff the delivery person, just do everyone a favor and hop in your car and just pick it up next time. Always tip your servers and delivery drivers and feel free to order the extra thin crust pizza there because it's a classic. I am updating my review of this place because I am impressed with how they are handling this pandemic. You can order online through their website. Afterwards, they even send an email saying thank you. When we arrived to pick up the food they had their door wide open so you did not have to touch anything. I also did not have to sign a receipt like I have been having to do at other restaurants. They had my order ready and waiting and there was no direct contact with any employee! On top of all that, their thin crust bbq chicken pizza is the best. I crave it all the time. The antipasto salad was a great addition! I know I have had bad experiences here before, but I think this place has changed for the better. read more

Friday night we stopped in for dinner. nacho platter and let the waitress know I was allergic to jalapeños and asked that they be put on the side for my husband. They did and she even pointed out that the guacamole and salsa did have jalapeños in them. Ate some of the nachos with cheese and all was good. Then had some with the chili on them. Started having an allergic reaction as there must have been jalapeños/chipotle in the chili. Told the waitress and she got the manager. He went back in the kitchen and after 10-15 minutes came back. He apologized for the long time it took but he said the cook didn't speak English and had a hard time communicating with him. Ut he said the cook said there was no jalapeños/chipotle in the chili. My face kept getting redder and redder and my tongue and lips were reacting as well. He asked if I was okay and I said no. There was at least a cross contamination. All he did was say sorry. We visited on a Wednesday around 1 pm. The place was pretty empty, a few people at the bar. The place looked clean and organized. The waitress was able to accommodate 5 adults and a baby. So that was nice. Now for the food and drinks. Awful. I ordered a Coke and the first sip wasn't good. Completely flat. So I asked for a new one and the second one was just as bad. My husband then told her that it still wasn't good. She then kindly offered cans. A lot better! Don't get me started with the water. It was disgusting! I had to go to my car to retrieve a bottled water. I ordered a calzone. Not very good. It was huge. But the crust was hard and salty. The sauce and cheese were okay. Unfortunately, they messed up my husband's order by adding jalapeños. When we finally got our waitress, she was apologetic and eventually voided the charge. But after being such a long time, my husband didn't get to eat. We were there for over an hour. They offered to redo it but we couldn't wait another 30-45 mins (it's what the waitress said) because we had a squirmy baby who needed his nap. When we got the check, we noticed that they still charged us for the first drinks AND the soda cans. We didn't drink the first sodas because they were flat (we had a sip). My father did say, "We were charged for the first drinks. If you want, you can remove them and you get a bigger tip or you can leave them and the tip will be very small." Service was okay. Today we had to pick up our food which I wont get into why, you all know why! (Start out all the food was delicious) Got a thin crust xl pizza half sausage half pepp. Done perfectly. Really good thick crust here too but i like thin crust and they killed it! Delicious sausage and crust was just right... crispy outside layer more soft inner layer... yum! Also got nachos. Now of course it is sitting out and then the drive home so the cheese will be settled. But idc! It was great! The server was completely neglectful after we received the little napkins that they give for the drinks. he then brought us spoiled, curtled and sour milk (and the kids did drink some of it), then we had to sit at the table for almost 30 min waiting to even place our order. If you're looking for a severe disappointment, order from Randall Roadhouse. A culinary and customer service nightmare, centrally located on Randall Rd between Algonquin and Elgin. Having been a customer for at least 10 years, I'm sad to say I've officially moved on to other dining facilities. Although we're in a Biden economy with record inflation, the prices here are a little too high for the liking of your average middle class family. But as a loyal customer I decided to order to support a favorite local business. What a mistake. Ordered a burger, was okay... but the chicken fingers and onion rings were not good at all. Chicken tasted very dry, like out of a box, very little flavor and onion rings very chewy and just didn't seem right. Fries smelt like dirty stale socks and Then there's the taco salad. Now one would think a TACO SALAD would have some sort of TACO meat or ground beef in it. No, the manager at Randall Roadhouse considers a taco salad to be lettuce, tomato, and about 80 sporadic olives. Incredibly disappointing. read more

The ranch dressing also used to be better now it's a cheap soy bean oil based garbage. The sausage was also downgraded. Quality over quantity will always win. I never understand why restaurants choose to maintain the size but cheapen the ingredients. They are also passing the credit card authorization fee on to their clientele. Very very very disappointed. My pizza was good, my husband on the other hand pulled a very long hair from his throat after taking a bite of his second piece. We went for lunch. There were probably 10 people in the whole restaurant. Our server took about 10 minutes to greet us. Took our drink order and that took another 10 minutes for sodas. Came back and took our food order. Took about 40 minutes to get our food. She did not come and check on us or ask if we would like refills. We were sitting there for about 40 minutes after we were finished eating to even receive our check. The food tasted like nothing. No seasoning on the steak or Philly cheesesteak. Place has gone downhill in the last 6 months. Went tonight for the Thursday special -10" pizza. No longer a special. Waited 15 minutes for a server to take our drink order. Went in for Bar Bingo which was fun. Had buffalo wings which were ok but the blue cheese was questionable. Tasted liked like some sugary concoction and I could not see any blue cheese pieces in it. The fries were mushy. Service at the bar was good and food came out quickly. My big gripe is at the bottom of the bill they are charging an extra 4.25% surcharge if you use a credit card. This is the first I have seen this. I was going to pay cash anyways but that is complete bullshit. Sorry but I won't recommend a place that is putting extra surcharges on the bill. Stay away from this place. Had a carryout order I placed through the app. Arrived and the girl seemed extremely unaware of life in general. Had trouble locating the order in their hot holding box. Asked me my name 3 times. This same situation happened last time, too. I guess i should learn to speak Spanish to communicate with them next time. Got home, missing the add on meatballs. Called, they pick up and IMMEDIATELY throw me on hold. No hello...no asking me to hold. RUDE!! And poor customer service. I hung up and called back immediately. This time a man answers the phone (turns out to be Dennis as he informed me later). I told him what happened, he said they would credit my account. So I said, "my credit card account"? And he replied no, the account on file so next time I order it would be there. I told him I wanted the credit card credited, and he said they don't do that. So I threatened to call my credit card company to dispute the charges, and he said "Ok". Sounds to me like Dennis just didn't want to deal with me, so yeah...I got set off. It came to me getting very angry with him before he said he would credit the card. And, no. I wasn't very nice. I was hot under the hood. He said he would take care of it (item price, tax, and entire gratuity...which I made sure to request because they failed in their service). But then he seemed put out again when I asked him to total it up for me. Oh, but now they can't do it from in house because since i ordered through their app the app service (Chow Now) has to handle the refund. I know exactly where this is going. And that's when i told him if i don't see the charges credited back by Tuesday, I will be seeing him personally. Dennis wanted to know why i was so upset and hot with him. So yeah, i told him exactly how I felt and he was being an asshole. I also told him I wouldn't be coming back, to which he replied that I'm not welcome back. Then he called me a "fucking cocksucker"...THAT is the truth! He used THOSE words with a customer. So the F-bomb retaliation commenced, hostile words exchanged. I hung up. First time there. I ordered the fried chicken and onion rings. Both were deep fried, over fried so much that the thick breading was hard as a rock. I broke open 2 of the 4 pieces of chicken and managed to eat a little of the interior. I tried a couple of the onion rings and just as bad. I abandoned the rest of the meal. I pointed all this out to the waiter and when he presented me with the check he took off $5 as a gesture of apology. So, basically, I paid $20 for a glass of beer and a small amount of chicken.
