Food: Pretty standard for Culver's food. I got the butter burger with the works and cheese curds. Would definitely recommend. Also a fan of the kids meals because you get a burger or grilled cheese, a drink, and fries, also a free scoop of custard. The custard is very good. Also the fries are good. If you want ranch you have to go up and ask for it because it's cold. A good fountain drink choice is Sprite lemonade mixed, if you're having trouble picking. Service: I was extremely pleasantly surprised by how we got our food. We couldn't have waited more than 5 minutes. Also the lady that took our orders name was Michelle and she was very nice. We stopped here for lunch on a recent road trip. It wasn't as good as normal. Burgers were kind of lukewarm and the cheese curds had a weird taste. Almost like they had a powdered ranch seasoning on them. Everything still tasted good, just not up to the usual Culver's standards. read more

Multiple poor experiences at this Culver's. What really sent me off the edge was when I ordered and grilled cheese basket with some ketchup. They put ketchup on my grilled cheese. Not packets in my bag, on my GRILLED CHEESE. I was on a road trip out of town and there was no point to turning back, especially knowing that when they've messed my order before they've done nothing to compensate for the time and money lost because they couldn't get my order right the first time. Culvers is always good. This one is no exception. The place has inside seating, restricted and spaced out. Restrooms clean as was the restaurant proper. Would have gotten 5 stars, but the order taker was a bit abrupt. Not in a nasty sense, just in a hurry. It was noon, but not busy. Perhaps she wanted to be somewhere else enjoying her retirement? I'm not sure I appreciated how lucky I was to have a Culver's nearby until I moved to place without one at all. Whenever I'm in Wisconsin, it's my automatic go-to place for fried cheese curds. Of course the butter burgers are good, too; and so are the concrete custard mixers, and the salads, and the reubens .... heck nearly everything. But okay. I admit I'm not a fan of the burger buns. They're kind of dry and tasteless - almost like eating a thick paper towel. (Don't ask.) I guess that's supposed to make everything else taste better but I'd rather not have this reality with the illusion of good. As with all Culvers', the selection of food options is great, the prices reasonable, and the employees will make sure you're taken care of. Root beer, coke, dr. Pepper, Diet Coke, and lemonade were all watered down. Cashier got order the wrong. I asked for a single butter burger with everything on it. I got a burger with onions ketchup and mustard only. No lettuce, no mayo, no pickles. Then the server tried to explain to me what "the works" is even thought I did not order it. Can't believe I'm writing a review for a fast food joint. Honestly, hands down one of the best burgers I've had. Their Midwest burger is to die, the quality of the meat is fresh to order and seasoned really well. I usually get the mushroom and Swiss burger. This place also has varieties of ice cream to choose from if you're craving sweets. Definitely my place to go to if I'm in Wisconsin. This place is EVERYTHING "they" say it is. Greasy-good, freshly-made food. Quick service. Clean dining area. SUPER nice Wisconsin folks who basically serve you fried-stuff-with-cheese with a cute midwestern accent with the "ooo's" and all that. For real: I didn't get anything fancy or "on-promo-poster" special. I went with the staples and standard: a BUTTER BURGER and FRIED CHEESE CURDS. Oh, and their homemade root beer. I don't know why anyone would want to start adding random stuff to these beautifully-pattied and mash-fried circles of wonderment and godliness. Maybe if I were a local I guess I might try all the combos out of mere curiosity. But, if you're visiting, be sure to get the classic. Go from there. The cheese curds will make you want to slap yo mama. Don't dip them in flavor-hiding ranch or ketchup. Dive down into the deep, deep white paper bag of them, add about 1,000 calories to your My Fitness Pal (or just - WHOOPS - forget that you ate them [your calorie counter doesn't REALLY need to know, does it?]), and experience cheesy awesomeness that could easily be comparable to manna from the heavens. I didn't do the custard, so I can't report on that. But, it looked great and everyone raves about it. I kinda think all custard tastes alike, but I'm sure connoisseurs could tell a difference between Culver's and somewhere else. Maybe check another review for the whole custard riff. End of the day remark: do it. Don't get a salad there to save some calories. Don't skip the curds because you're afraid of cholesterol. We get ONE go-around on this celestial planet. Culver's holds a special spot in my heart...and stomach. After years and years of living within a few miles of a Culver's we now live an hour from the closest one. Needless to say, when we head home we definitely stop by Culver's, even if it is just for the flavor of the day! What a disappointment. Had to pay for my free birthday sundae. Coupon said 2 free toppings but NUTS cost a dollar extra. Server didn't mention that little bit of info and since our order Included a coupon they didn't give us a total until we got to the window. The food is delicious (especially the cheesecurds) , but the coolers are really expensive, and the ice cream melts pretty easily. Inside it was very cold, and there were mosquitoes outside so we stayed in. One of the reasons it was colder than usual was because we discovered that we were sitting directly under a vent that was blowing cold air. read more

Their ice cream is pretty pricey. Their food is pretty expensive for the quality in comparison to other fast food places.

I stopped in there 4/6/15 I ordered a butter burger with the works. I ended up getting food poisoning from the mayo or tomatoes!
