I would understand if there was under staffing but they seemed to have plenty of staff, however only one was making sandwiches. Typically I love Firehouse and have a great experience, that was not the reputation they presented today. Our presence was acknowledged and one of the employees immediately offered to take our order. I like how there were a few people in the back working diligently the orders. It took about 5-10 minutes to make 5 sandwiches. It came out warm. My sandwich looked awesome. It wasn't messy and easy to eat. Compared to the Subway sandwiches that drips when I take bites, the bread was a hearty, more dense that captured the juices. The meatball was juicy and the marinara sauce had a tang. I enjoyed mine. The other people in my group enjoyed theirs too. My husband's was messier to eat. He felt like it was just ok. Overall, it was a very filling sandwich. The floor and tables were a bit messy. The tables needed to be wiped down and the floors had crumbs all over but it's ok, we hopped back to D1 to continue with our evening and ate our dinner there.
