Today is Friday - and that calls for a cheeseburger. Not just any cheeseburger, but a single patty Butterburger from Culver's and let's make it a value meal! I like this nearby location in Mount Dora because a) I have the app where I can score points for Rewards (value meal today scored me 99 points!), b) it's easily accessible with a drive-thru and lots of parking, and c) the staff are always friendly. I also appreciate that whenever I visit a Culver's someone is walking around cleaning up. Finally, these days I feel a value meal should land somewhere around the $10 mark - like my meal today did. My cheeseburger was delicious and came with lettuce, tomato, (raw) onion, ketchup, and mayo. Although the cheese was barely melted on the patty, the bun was a touch cold, and the sweet tea was pretty weak, I am still grateful that my food was good, the bun was not stale, and I didn't experience any "rumble tummy" afterwards. So excited to try Culver's for the first time, with this new location only 1 mile from my house. Good friends have told me about it for quite some time. Expectations were huge and the results are in. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! They have so many people working the counter and prep that the wait time is practically nil. I ordered the Butter Bun Burger, curds, and a pumpkin shake (made from custard). Burger was awesome. Fresh, just like it came off the grill outside. Curds (aka fried cheese) was stupendous. Pumpkin shake... amazing. The McDonalds and Wendy's nearby are going to go out of business with the new kid in town. Service and taste there is no comparison. Culver's has cornered the market here on burgers while down the road, Chick-fil-a wins on chicken. I'll be back... a lot! read more

Not that they don't have good food, but I placed an online order for the first time, but the double burger for my husband was not in the bag when my husband picked up the order. The bag was sealed so he did not break the seal before bringing the food home. Needless to say, he had to go back (15 minutes) to get the burger. Nonsense...they should have someone double check the order before sealing the bag because it's a hassle to go back to get something that should've been there all along. read more

We are Culver's fans. Never going back to this one again. The manager (Reggie) didn't even care enough to come by and speak to us. Another employee ( Dian) was voicing our complaint to him and he replied "ya can't make everyone happy " to her. My son wanted a kids meal with mashed potato INSTEAD of fries. He received both and was charged for both. This was the 2nd time. The butter burgers did not seem to have any butter and 1 burger was so overrun with mustard that that's what the burger tasted like. Just a mustard sandwich! The mashed potatoes had no seasoning. I mean the basic stuff, salt, pepper and butter. This is the only time I've had the mashed potatoes but never again. We will make the 1/2 hour drive to another location. Reggie needs to go. read more

Super good ice cream as I expected but the hamburger was without a doubt one of the best I've ever had. One of the kind that the juices run down your arm as you're eating it. We were met with a very friendly staff and food was served in a timely manner. It fit all the requirements of an old fashioned hamburger joint. We were very excited to have Culver's come to Mount Dora, but have been disappointed on several occasions. On 4 occasions we ordered take-out and in every case upon arriving home, the food was not as ordered. The 5th incident was the worst. My husband ordered 2 burgers along with other items and only one was in the bag. I called the manager who needs further lessons in management/customer service and was told that they cannot read minds. When I explained he would never order 1 burger as he was bringing dinner home for both of us, she kept repeating that they are not mind readers. So, let's blame the customer for poor service behind the counter. In the beginning, we never complained as it was a new store and mishaps are expected. We have now had 5 "mishaps."
