The rating is for the owner only. Everyone that works here is amazing and the food is always good. I'll never understand why owners of restaurants can trust their management team with tens of thousands of dollars, but they can't give them the lockbox key to the thermostat? It is freezing in here. Everyone is wearing their winter coats and I just watched an entire family of eight leave after receiving their food to go eat in the heat of their car. No one is ordering ice cream, and like me, most are rushing to get out of here because it's so cold. When I asked the person who brought us our food to turn up the heat he said he wish he could because he's freezing too. He said it's been the number one complaint all day, and they can't get a hold of the owner to change it. My daughter's birthday dinner was miserable, and I wish I'd have spent my money somewhere else today. Dear owner, please do better. Your management can handle a thermostat. They're damn near exceptional at everything else. From the way I see it you're the one that's failing your workers and patrons here. read more

Went to Culver's for dine in after the zoo. The food was fast and hot and they didn't care that the kids were loud as we were the only ones there. Cheese curds were awesome and of course the ice cream!!! read more

I usually have a really good experience here, but tonight was very bad. I ordered cheese curds and two concretes. That was it. I waited at the window forever for this small order. I could see several employees just standing around talking casually who didn't seem to notice or care about the drive-thru pile up. I got the cheese curds long before the concretes so I worried they'd be cold by the time I got home. I waited so long that I called my husband to make sure he knew I was ok! When I finally got the concretes, mine was wrong, but I'd waited so long I didn't tell them. He did apologize for the wait, but gave no explanation. P.S. I am a pretty regular customer here. The guy who usually works the drive thru wasn't there so I hope they're not changing staff because he was very good at his and attentive. I hope it was just a bad night. We don't have many fast food options in Powell, and this is normally one of the better ones. Even McDonald's will give free fries for waiting so long! read more

Beware of Culver's in Powell, Ohio location. I shared my photos with Judy Fowler, Guest Relations General Manager. She told me the reason the fries are nasty is because they used filthy oil due to the fact that the store forgot to order clean oil. I don't eat there often, but this is the second time I've reported grease ladened nasty fries. The first time, I was told by one of the cooks that the manager told them oil is expensive and to use the filthy oil as long as they can. Disgusting. No quality control. read more

First time visiting this location and the staff was completely rude. Received our food and part of the oder was wrong and other drink items were missing and couldn't even drink one of the sodas because of the taste. Should have checked everything before leaving the drive-thru. read more

I'm not sure why, but the menu is a little confusing if it is your first time, or it was for me. Somehow got a combo, even though I didn't want a drink, but ok. I asked for just one mix-in instead of 2 and they were confused. I was also a little hangry after an afternoon at the zoo. Everyone was happy once the food came, portions on the sides are big; we could've just shared. Not sure if there is a way to order, then pay for your dessert but not get it all at once. We came on a Thursday evening and this place was PACKED. Ordering wasn't a problem and our food came out relatively quickly considering the crowd. I had the fish sandwich, which was very good compared to other fast food places. The fries are amazing. My wife and daughter both ordered custard and I heard no complaints from them. All in all a good experience despite the business. We plan on coming back. read more

The service at the drive thru window is awful. If you tell me the burger is "plain made to order" three times in a row when I ask what I can get on it, you are terrible at customer service. I drove by the window and they were laughing at making my expierence terrible. I will not be back. Culver's has got to be one of the greatest fast-casual restaurants ever. When I was very young, my family and I stumbled upon a Culver's in Cincinnati and loved their food. Some months later, we drove by this location and got excited that there was one so close to where we lived. For as long as I can remember, Culver's has been my family's special place. Their food is consistently delicious. There have been very few times in which I've felt disappointed by their food quality. Usually, I get the chicken tenders value basket. It's always just enough food for me. The amount of food you get for the money is fantastic. When I've been there, my friends and family have gotten the ButterBurgers and they always love them. Again, very few complaints. Their frozen custard never fails to impress either. Prior to eating at Culver's, I had only had frozen custard once or twice and I wasn't very thrilled with it. It was fine, but nothing special. Culver's custard isn't the greatest thing you'll ever eat, but it is delicious and always worth the money. They have chocolate, vanilla, and a flavor of the day. I haven't really liked most of their recent flavors of the day, but they have a schedule of every flavor for each day for the next several months, so, if it really matters to you that much, you can plan to come back that day. Culver's is such a fantastic place and, now that I'm in college in a place without one nearby, I miss it a lot. Whenever I'm home, I'm sure to make a trip here. Highly recommended! read more

Culvers is my favorite fast food and each location deserves 5 solid stars in my opinions, while the food here was as great as the other two in Columbus, I was dissapoingted with the service and won't be back to this location (inless like yesterday I am in NEED of custard or italian ice) Culvers always sends out coupons and being such a fanatic I have their flavor of the day saved to my favorites so that when I'm in need of ice cream I always check Culvers first. Well I had a BOGO coupon and here in Powell they wouldn't accept it. It didn't say which location, it was expired nothing. I asked to talk to a manager, she said she was and each store in independant and they chose not to take it. So i stormed out, sat in the car pissed and drove through the drive through hoping not to see her. LOL Luckily I didn't and we got the italian ice, even better than the custard when its really hot out, I had it with fresh blackberrys, my husband with raspberry and my son with strawberrys, all of the fresh, sweet/sour refreshing, hits the spot everytime! read more

After a VERY long day at the zoo, the kids were BUGGING me to take them somewhere to eat. On the way to 270 I see Culvers and decided to give it a shot. One of my kids ordered the chicken fingers & french fries kids meal & the other the burger & fries kids meal. Both come with a token to get a small dish of ice creme. I ordered a regular burger with cheese & onion rings. They gave us a number and told us to go sit at a table and they would bring the food out. About 20min later a young man brought us our food. HOWEVER, the kids meals were missing the french fries so I go up to the counter with my receipt and explain to them that the kids are missing their fries. He apologizes, and tells me he will be right out with them...and he was. In less than a minute my kids were digging in! And they loved it! They ate EVERYTHING!! My burger & onion rings were good as well. Nothing I would really brag out though. Ok....regular food is gone, it's time for ice creme! I go through the items on the tray and guess what............NO ICE CREME TOKENS FOR MY KIDS. Really? Again? You forgot something else? So I go back up to the counter. Show them my receipt and explain to them I wasn't given the ice creme tokens. The young lady was very nice and said no problem and went ahead and got my kids ice creme, but geez. Get your stuff together. I know this isn't Hyde Park, however, I do expect half of my children's orders not to be forgotten. I will say, the kids loved the ice creme and asked me to take them back soon. I'm just not too sure I want to deal with all the service issues again. Culver's makes a damn delicious shake, butter burger, and fries. What doesn't Culver's do well? The problem is, the calorie counts here are through the roof. Worse than McDonald's or Wendy's or TB. So my suggestion to you is to grab a friend and split a combo together. If you're going to scarf down one burger, medium fries, and a shake by yourself, you're looking at 2,000 calories, so your entire days worth of recommended intake in one meal. Culver's is delicious but if I want to keep eating my way through Columbus I can't be coming around here often. It's really truly the most comfortable of comfort fast foods. Save it for a diet splurge day or come with a friend. read more

Wanted to try something new that we never heard of. Decided to try Culvers for some burgers. We both had cheddar bacon burgers and the meat was fresh and cooked well. Wasn't too much grease, unsure of how much would be there because of the bacon. All products were fresh on the burgers. I got the fries and a side of cheese sauce, he got a side of onion rings. Decided to hit the drive thru and was pleasantly surprised. The staff repeated my order and asked if I wanted any salt, pepper, ketchup, or cheese sauce. I pulled up and paid, then I received a number and was instructed to pull ahead. I knew at this moment our food was going to be fresh. It was very good food and the onion rings and fries were fresh. I actually prefer both over any other restaurant. We will definitely be choosing Culvers again! read more

Oh boy! Where else on earth can you get Diet Root Beer (my favorite!) at the fountain?! And it's really good, frothy diet! I'd go to Culver's just for this--but they've got a fast food burger driven menu that promises only the best ingredients from America's best farms. I had a double mushroom and Swiss burger + LTOP and fries. Burgers were thin like 5 Guys so a double wasn't too huge--you can also order a triple. The mushrooms were sautéed fresh and the swiss seemed "real" (as in not a pasteurized American cheese version). The fries were crinkle cut and reminded me of how a local hot dog shop (Yocco's) back home prepares them. It's counter ordering just like most fast food, but then you're given a number and take a seat in the dining room. Unfortunately I knocked a star off my review for the lack of cleanliness (we had to wipe off a table from the previous guests) and the wait time for our food (30 min+). We went last evening after Wildlights at the Zoo and they were super busy--but my sister-in-law promises they've always had great service at this location. I will be back--for the diet root beer!--and hopefully I can bump my review up a star! read more

Culvers is a fast food chain with a few locations around 270 in Columbus. I have only been to the location near the Columbus Zoo. It's one of the reasons I like going to the zoo so much. The food is cooked to order. You pay at the counter then take a little number and pick a table and they bring you your food pipping hot. Service is very quick and friendly. They have great selection for a fast food place. The frozen custard that they are known for is extremely delicious, especially the chocolate. Don't skip it if you've never tried it before. I wouldn't make a trip from the Victorian Village to go there, but its a required stop for every zoo visit. read more

R loves this place and wants to go back ASAP, and since she's carrying my child (yes, another one...sigh...) I am obligated to oblige. I thought it was pretty good; kind of like a midwestern Shake Shack with better fries but worse shakes. Seriously, I don't know what sort of wizardry is happening back in the kitchen but the fries achieved otherworldly levels of crispiness. Kids meals come with a free (I know, it's not really free, it's factored into the price) scoop of ice cream or custard or something so my girls loved it too. Culvers so far gets the 'a-ok' in my book. I've been twice. The first time it was a nice counter experience, good food, my order was wrong (I was really hoping for those cheese curds, but got fries instead... womp womp...), but overall not terrible -- and that ice cream... mmm mmm mmmm. Second time, it was early afternoon... 1:30ish, I waited in quite a long line with husband and 2-year-old patiently waiting at table, after 15 minutes of waiting to give my order, once I got to the counter I was told that there was a 45 minute wait on all orders at that point. Would've been nice to know before I got in line, because waiting an hour in total to eat was not an option with a restless little one. We left. I'd love to try it again, but it hasn't lived up to the hype for me yet. read more
