4 stars only bc when we ordered after we have been traveling for hours, the girl working today in the second window (June 16th, 2026 at 10:00PM-10:20PM) had whatever attitude she had and looked at us like we were annoying here on where to pull up to...we ain't ever been to a Culver's as California doesn't have any so not sure why she was being rude about it, we just asked a simple question. Hubby & I were driving by & noticed their sign advertising walleye for a limited time. We turned in immediately & went inside. The ambiance is clean & tidy. The employees at the counter were welcoming & took our order quickly. We each ordered the one piece walleye dinner with coleslaw, roll & butter & fries. I decided to switch out the fries for onion rings. Hubby got a Coke but I chose to skip the Coke products (not a fan) & drink water. We asked for our senior discount & got it. The food was delivered to our table by a polite employee within 6-7 minutes. The walleye was scrumptious though a little on the greasy side. We had to use several napkins to soak up the excess oil. The tartar sauce served with the fish was very good. I was disappointed with the onion rings as they were dry & tasteless. Hubby told one of the employees that I wanted to try their made in-house signature root beer & she gave it to me free of charge. It was really refreshing & I appreciated the gesture. Culver's is chic fila but with burgers. There's always somebody sweeping and cleaning in the place is spotless. We've never been to a Culver's before I always thought it was some sort of ice cream place but it's much more than that. Clearly the management of Culvers went to CFA University and preps their hires to be polite and respectful; not something you see very often in the fast food industry. I ordered the Butter Burger w/o onions and u know when you see the menu photo and the burger that you get is all smashed and sad? This ain't that! It looked darn identical to the menu photo! They bring it out to your table and actually serve you. You don't get that at CFA. It IS a tasty burger too. But you can't go to culvers without getting curds my man. Just fire, and this is why I have to lose weight. Curds. But overall there was a sign that said "Practice Kindness." and they practice what they preached. We visited Culver's with some IN family for some NYD home cooking. Our great nephews like the chicken tenders and custard. We were curious about the much touted hand battered fish being of the LJSilvers era. We enjoyed the fish. It has a light batter and the meat was fluffy white and tasty (hot hot). I would like to update my review from 3 to 4 stars based on management reaching out to me to make the issue right! Again, the chili was great, the milkshake fabulous.. but that burger left much to be desired. My mom who eats there more than myself said that she agrees that the burgers are on the dryer side. For that reason and the reason that it's pricey for being fast food I'm updating from 3 to 4 stars (vs 5). **Note: the spicy chicken sandwich I recently had was much better than the burger. We were greeted & told the food was freshly made (I haven't seen that happen much in our local Culver's restaurant in Utah). I had the pork loin sandwich as a basket (Medium fries & drink) and it was the best one I've ever had at a Culver's. Fries were crisp with a fluffy inside. My husband's Double Butterburger also was best one he'd had in a long time- not greasy. We both enjoyed their root beer as it always has a nice bite to its taste. A worker came through the dining room and asked how everything was (also picking up trays/trash). We shared with her most of our above impressions since we both were very pleased with the meal. Saw a middle age gal coaching an employee and conferring with other team members so we may have visited on a regional review day but I hope for future visitors they have the same impression of this store. Despite the presence of management some of the counter staff seemed to be hanging back and avoiding taking my husband's custard order (I was too full) appearing to hope another team member would handle it. This was our first experience with Culver's and had mixed feelings. Are the burgers just never seasoned? They were cooked nicely but had zero seasoning so they tasted odd. Loved the buns and the onion rings though. And don't even get me started on the Concretes! Everyone working there was so incredibly nice and the restaurant was very clean. We are moving to town and will definitely be back. I hope to be able to change my review to five stars if the lack of seasoning was just a mistake on their part, otherwise the burgers are pretty bland. First time trying this Midwest staple. I'm from the east coast. Dropped in during a long road trip. I would say good American fast food option. They have a lot of options beyond burger and fries. Plus you are able to get a free ice cream after your purchase and can be redeemed right away, just need to complete a survey which takes like 2 mins. I got their shroom and swiss burger and it was cooked just right. Also got their lemon ice with mango syrup. Ice is eh, wouldn't pay for it again. Syrup is to be expected as a concentrate. As my free ice cream I went with vanilla and mint syrup. Not a bad combo, just wished the mint color wasn't so artificially green... Staff were helpful with ordering and courteous when delivering the food. Inside tables and bathrooms were clean. Overall a good experience. read more

I had the butter double cheese burger with fries and a chocolate malt. My wife got their strawberry salad and a diet root beer. The food was good and service was fast. I was a little concerned when we were standing in line and a elderly lady came to the counter and stated she has been waiting 20 minutes for her order. We had no service problem. Plenty of friendly staff, and always one of them wiping tables off. Bathrooms were clean and maintained. Five stars for a limited service chain restaurant with no alcohol? Well this type of eatery has its place, and Culver's Richmond is as good at gets. Been here two or three times. Multiple staff members welcomed us warmly with genuine smiles. Counter girl answered newbie questions, prices were reasonable and the food really good. They've got self serve fountain soda including their own brand root beer, which is caffeine free AND also available sugar free. Needless to say, have as many refills as you like. The dining room is large, and thoughtfully divided up so it does not have that cafeteria fast-food feel. Sit anywhere with your order number marker, they'll find you. The food servers offer to bring condiments or anything else you want, and they pass by to check on you. And so clean. Spotless. They must take very good care of their employees because everyone was pleasant, looked happy, and they did not appear to be suffering from any 'staffing shortage.' They also proudly serve frozen custard, the real deal. This chain is based out of Wisconsin where frozen custard is more readily available. Glad they've brought it here! read more

Used the drive thru on a cold rainy day. Order was taken quickly and questions were answered well. Ordered chicken fingers, burgers, and a corn dog. Chicken was really good and the Boom Boom sauce was just a little spicy. Corn dog was excellent, as always. Cheese burger hot two thumbs up. I ordered the only fast food sandwich I crave. I don't think I'd ever been to Culver's before. This one was very close to my hotel. I did the drive-thru and, not wanting a burger, I opted for the shrimp and fries plus a side salad. The kid at the window was very friendly, saying the shrimp basket was his dad's favorite. I had to wait maybe 5-7 minutes before they brought it to my car. When I got to eating, I found the shrimp to be very crunchy but surprisingly devoid of flavor. The thick crinkle fries were a touch underdone. The side salad was okay though the ranch dressing was also flavorless. So, disappointed here but I may try again with different menu choices. read more

2nd time this has happened. 1st time was about a year ago, and I let it go. 2nd time was several weeks ago. Both times an order was incorrect. Both times I called, spoke to the "manager" who took my name, phone, address and said she would send a gift certificate. I never received a gift certificate on either occasion or never received any form of follow-up. I placed a call the Culver's corporate customer comment number, spoke to a lady who said she would call this store as soon as we hang up. I still have not received a response from the "manager" at this Richmond, IN store. The store manager clearly has no concept of simple customer service. It's so easy to generate customer good will, and a little thing like a lack of follow-up and a nominal gift certificate will cause the store to lose my business. I must say I very pleased all around. I walked in and my first impression was how clean the place was. Followed but the plethora of employees behind the counter buzzing about and getting orders out as fast as they could. I figured since they were that busy that I would be waiting a while, I was wrong! My food came out quickly and fresh. Nice and hot butter burger with fries and it was fantastic. This was my first ever visit to a Culver's, I'd heard of it for years but never pulled the trigger. Well, that day finally came and I couldn't be happier, I can't wait to go back and have been craving it ever since. Do yourself a favor, stop in and grab a burger! One of the best I've had in quite some time. Very friendly staff, clean establishment, great food. Side note, I would avoid the "spicy chicken sandwich" though. My daughter got it and it was dry and flavorless for something that was supposed to be spicy. It was quite obvious that this was nothing more than a fried generic chicken patty. Burgers, chicken, ice cream etc. I was here for lunch so I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and onion rings. When I ordered they made me pull my truck around the corner to wait for the food that they would bring out. Took about 5-10 minutes. Not as fast as I would have liked. The sandwich looked like the frozen chicken patties that you buy in a store. The flavor was decent. I put barbecue sauce on it. Also had the onion rings which were decent. Perfect experience at this Culver's today. The restaurant was clean. The employees were kind and had a professional appearance. My food was brought to my table quickly and my Culver's Deluxe burger and fries were hot, fresh and exactly as ordered. A manager stopped by my table to see if he could clear anything for me and let me know that I could get a free custard for filling out the survey on the receipt.
