On the plus side they still have a hot dog steamer vs. the newfangled rollers that have been appearing around the region. More than anything else, I appreciate how they have a rack that holds your "milk club" card by the milk cooler so you don't have to have yet another thing taking up space in your wallet. Other Stewart's may be newer, cleaner or larger. Some might even have gas. But this is the one where I keep my milk club card, which means it gets the extra star. So on those evenings after dinner when I discover that there is no milk left for the kids cereal in the mornings, I come here. And maybe I'll pick up some eggs too if we're low. Yeah, ice cream too. I'm ashamed to admit it, but after five years living in the Capital Region I've found some of the ice cream flavors to be magnificent even though they are filled with gums and other nasty ingredients like carrageenan. You can pry the half-gallon of maple-walnut from my cold dead hands.

His charge for it was the best I ever had and I would extremely recommend his small shop to everyone who hates dealing with the hassle of big companies fucking you over. Rox took her car here all the time, for major and minor work, and loved them. Dunbrook Mobil does not have a staff, it's more like a cast. Through repeated visits, you get to know them, and the pleasant quirkiness of the business ameliorates the cost of gasoline a bit.

I recently had a disturbing and infuriating experience at this Cumberland Farms location. I went in…read moreto purchase two Gatorlite drinks, advertised as 2 for $5, but they rang up as $5.50. With tax, the total came to $5.94. When I pointed out that the sales tax should be $0.40, not $0.94, I was met with disbelief and outright hostility. The employees insisted that the $0.94 was the correct tax, despite it clearly being an error in their system. Instead of addressing the issue, the two employees--both of whom were of a different race than I am--ganged up on me. Their behavior quickly escalated from rude to what felt like a racially motivated attack. They repeatedly insisted "it's the tax," in a mocking tone, refusing to listen to any explanation. I was laughed at, ridiculed, and made to feel as though my concerns were invalid simply because of who I am. It felt like I was being singled out and demeaned based on my race. Eventually, they asked if I even wanted the drinks, making it clear they had no interest in resolving the situation or treating me with basic respect. What's even more concerning is that they claimed every customer is told "that's the tax" and no one ever complains. If that's true, then Cumberland Farms is potentially collecting illegal sales tax on thousands of transactions per day. Now that this review is public, if Cumberland Farms doesn't address this issue with these employees, they could be guilty of negligence and should be fined. I hope New York State gets their $0.94 tax on this transaction, which I doubt will happen under these circumstances. For reference, my receipt number is 221-2080, in case Cumberland Farms wants to do their due diligence and investigate. This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I've ever had, and the fact that it appeared to be racially motivated makes it all the more unacceptable. Unbelievable that this is what customer service has come to today. I would recommend screening and better training of employee's zero stars if I could. This was definitely not about the 50 cents per transactions theft , but the principle of the matter .

So it is a great way to be able to effectively keep yourself everywhere in case of an emergency as long as you can get to a Cumberland Farms. Please know your concerns have been shared with the District Manager and the issues will be resolved at the shop. If any more information is needed, we will contact you directly. The part that I spent so much time with this, and received that comment on an email, and nobody else would have done this is amazing. So I felt like this and I'm sure I speaking for A LOT of other people that frequent Stewart Shop. Don't be so damn cheap and hire adequate people to stock your stores. Customers don't care about your monthly numbers. We are willing to pay for what we want.
