The chain store down the street would have tried him on for size, upselling him some O' Reilly sourced calipers, new rotors and possibly wheels and tires as well- all for complaint of a little pulling. I myself was getting snows installed, not a huge job- but one they got done very quickly and at a great price- something that while meaningful isn't the end all, be all of something as safety sensitive as tires.

Jerry was so nice and scheduled to check out the car a few days out. I dropped off my car and the mechanic went over the issues I had: speedometer cable broken and replaced Idle control not working. Come to find out, my A/C wasn't working right either. The shop is very clean, as is the waiting area and bathroom. They had coffee and water available to drink while I waited. The work was done in a reasonable amount of time. I was warned that the A/C issue might involve having to remove the dash inside the car to find the problem and might be a pricey fix. Ugh. I was preparing for the worse and praying for the best. The speedometer cable was not broken but disconnected. Huge cost savings there and impt. because the part was no longer being manufactured. The Idle control part that was put on by the Eugene mechanics and didn't fix the idle problem wasn't the necessary part to fix the idle problem. My car has a manual transmission. It has two Idle control parts not one which is what automatic transmissions have. The one that was replaced was for hot starts...the one I needed was for cold starts which would solve both cold and hot start idle issues. I found a used fast idle control assembly part online and that fix was properly fixed now. The fix made by the garage in Eugene to address the fan issue for the radiator was not fixed. Mainly because the problem wasn't the fan but a dead battery. The Eugene mechanics repair that was made was to add a timer and sensor which, not only wasn't necessary but ended up being the cause of the A/C unit not working. It was blowing the A/C fuse making the A/C not work. Thankfully the dash wasn't taken out so the fix was not as expensive as I thought it would be. I am grateful for good and honest mechanics. I am frustrated with having to go back to my previous mechanic and try to get some money back on the work they did but I'm going to try. Wayne's is my new Acura mechanic.

Today was an amazing example of someone changing our path…read more.. The 3 musketeers all geared up and headed down to Eugene to get to the Oregon Country Fair... we stopped at Les Schwab like I had been told to do each time to make sure the tire pressure was good and tires were good to adventure... the guy says the tires on the axel were good, but I should look at switching the spare out soon...he didnt know how far Id get on it if need be. So we go on our merry little way...and about 30 miles from Eugene... the Rv shakes and you feel the plunk of a flat tire... This was no ordinary flat tire... it burst and then ripped out the wheel well and made a huge hole in a space where we stored extra gloves and our electric space heater...I had placed our Jerry and Jerry bear on the lid of that... they were laying on the side of I-5 about a 1/4 mile back. So, here is where a couple of angels came... we use state farm roadside assistance... which has been a great investment BTW... the Jbs Roadside Assistance arrives in about 45 mins...and although he isnt supposed to do a trailer... changes the tire...he initially thinks it doesn't fit... but it does...he tells us to drive really slow with flashers... Coburn is just 10 miles... if it weren't for him, we'd be either on the side of the road still or towed and without RV for the festival. Angel #1 Noreen googles closest tire shop and we arrive at Pomp's Tire Service these guys not only didnt blink an eye at getting us 2 new tires, but worked really hard to get the shredded rubber from around the axel and shoring up the underneath. They had us back on the road within an hour...and put the other good tire on the spare mount so we still have a spare. Angels #2. If it hadnt been for these 3 guys, not only doing their job, they went above a beyond and sent us on our magical way.

Not a care or concern or reply from Darin at Trades Ok, Inc of all the damage I found and what they covered up on the truck Camper they sold me. The entire roof was sunk in from the a/c back to the front door. Trades ok added spacers to the skylights internally because Lance's have thinner roofs and require a taller skylight. They used cheap skylights and even used random screws so long that the screw came INTO ceiling hallway about 1/2". Also, when I turned on the shower and water pump to test the water system I noticed water gushes out of the underbelly, the pipe was completely detached (pics). Ignoring an upset sales customer is the worst thing you can do vs resolving the issue with a disappointed buyer and making things RIGHT. BBB has been contacted and the FTC. My phone is on!
