Finally, my youngest daughter had the most dental work done here after she experienced cavities and tooth decay due to drinking milk in bed as a baby and not brushing afterwards. She had to do the repair under general anesthesia at 3, which is super nerve-wrecking as a parent but under the care of Dr Nancy it went very well. We appreciate that everything is super kid friendly, from the coin kids get to retrieve a prize at the end of each visit, the tee shirt and picture with the dentist they get on their first visit, etc. We will keep coming here and also a special shoutout to all the dental assistants! Of course I denied it and was asked to sign a no xray waiver. I can't help questioning this clinic protocol on pediatric radiation protection, and I will speak to the floor manager over this issue.

There are never any hidden fees or surprises for the bill, which is a welcome reprieve from all the red tape that can come with large, DSO-owned offices. It's comforting to come to a private, single proprietor owned practice, with personal accountability. It's reassuring that their financial coordinator bills out-of-network dental insurances as a courtesy to us, and the small difference in co-pay is certainly worth it, for high quality, personalized care. Their spacious waiting room has all of the necessary amenities: plenty of comfortable seating, a wide array of tea and coffee, and educational toys for the kids to play with, while waiting. The kids adore the rustic rocking horse, while they sit and watch their favorite Disney movie that's streaming on the large, flat screen TV. To our pleasant surprise, all of the children, even for filling appointments, happily follow the caring dental assistants back into the clinical room. No child looks anxious,which is rare, given that this is a dental setting.This is such a huge relief for parents, who can totally relax and have confidence when allowing their children to follow the RDA into the clinical area. The assistants and dental associates are all calibrated to deliver the same, high quality dental care that Dr. Cindy prides her team in. Dr. Omid is so gentle and soft-spoken. Dr. Ivan Lee places stunning cosmetic restorations on baby and adult teeth. He is an absolute perfectionist. Dr. Andrew Huang has this soothing and calming effect on even the most nervous kids. He's very thorough with exams, and clearly explains every finding. All of their dentists do excellent treatment, such that even the most fearful children have no reservations about moving forward and returning. The other really nice thing about her office is her other patients, they always seem to be just as friendly and it makes for a really nice atmosphere. Over the past two years, we have noticed significant change in how the BAKD Santa Clara office was run. On more than one occasion, the dental staff were reprimanded by the lead dentist (Dr. Radwan) in front of us, making us feel super uncomfortable, even when our hygienists had done a good job. We also had Dr. Radwan suggest a cavity filling and sealant for one of our kids. We took the day off of work and our daughter missed school to get to the appointment, only to be told that day that actually she didn't have a cavity that needed to be filled, and that they needed to look at the X rays again. On top of everything else, BAKD no longer accepted Delta Dental, and it became the patients responsibility to pay upfront and then get reimbursed and manage the go betweens of insurance and the dental office. We have since left BAKD and continue to get automated appointment reminders and billing requests, even when we have not been enrolled in over a year. When we call, it goes to voicemail and no one returns our call.

In early Nov, they finally produced an itemized bill that I have attached. I'm still not sure why under 3 years old oral evaluation isn't covered by my insurance, but that's what I was told. I paid the statement balance and today, 12/5, I receive yet another notice that I owe $7. There was no explanation, but comparing the two statements, which I have included here, it seems they randomly changed some charges and even added a charge. This is fraud because the last six months they have sent me a different bill this whole time and now all of a sudden after I paid they decided to change the charges with no explanation? It is also harassment to continue to email someone without providing any explanation for the charges. It's their responsibility to make sure the charges are correct and it seems they're just arbitrary at this point. Stay away from this incompetent business.

The staff go up and beyond ensuring everything is clean and sanitary for everyone. They also all are wearing sanitary personal hygiene products including gloves, masks, and protective clothing. This really made me feel safe and comfortable. Dr Thai had her assistant Oggustavo do my X-rays and cleaning. He did a great job. Next, the dental hygienist Phoug did my deep cleaning procedure and was extremely thorough. Good people do right things! A difficult 6-yr old boy got cavity fixed without tears and numbing after a failing experience in another dentistry. Cannot express enough appreciation!!! My 6-yr old son failed his cavity filling appointment last week in Pleasanton, with fear and fight. As such, the doctor there recommended a full numbing approach. My husband and I disagreed and thought of Dr Jeff, who fixed our daughter's cavity without any numbing or drama back in 2016 when we lived in San Jose. We gave him a call last week and fortunately got an introduction appointment the following Tuesday (yesterday). During the introduction appointment, Dr Jeff observed that my son's behavior (sensitive to the things getting into his mouth and curious if any impact to himself), and decided to take a gentle approach by fixing the visible cavity first so that he can trust and is willing to collaborate more. Luckily we got the second appointment today as someone cancelled their appointment. Dr Jeff noticed my son kept spitting out the mouth wash yesterday and switched the mouthwash approach to direct application of the mouthwash to the teeth, easing the discomfort of residual flavors in mouth. The cavity filling process was smooth. Dr Jeff and his assistant were very quick in actions and had lots of humors chatting with my son making the process super fun. They let him take breaks when needed, and gently introduced the intimidating looking tools so that the kid understood and would not fight. Great experience, not rushed, safe. Look forward to the next visit.
