I love it here. The food and coffee is so good. I ordered a breakfast bagel and a latte. Sat outside with my dog and people watched. Street parking isn't that bad but it was a Sunday afternoon so maybe would be busier at another time. It just seemed so cozy like a true coffee shop. Would definitely recommend!

What a cute coffee shop with yummy treats! I stopped by after a lovely visit to the book store across the street, "Big Hill Books". It is clean, nice and comfy inside with comfortable seating. Great service! Today I got wild rice soup, which was super delish which the lovely Barista delivered to my table. I loved my cute single person seating table which was right in front of the closed-captioned TV. Very much enjoyed my visit. I will be back!

My boyfriend and I came here for a morning coffee date! This place is one of our favorites and stays busy! The service is always great as well as the bakery items, coffee, and food! They have a nice patio area outside as well as seating indoors. We got the breakfast croissant, blueberry bread, and coffee! Everything was great! Highly recommend this place for small coffee gathering or a little 1:1 date.

It's the neighborhood hang, deservedly. They get it all right: coffee, pastries, ambience, warm welcome.

My family and I stopped by Cuppa Java to meet a friend while in town for a wedding on a busy Saturday morning. I think the ideal time to visit this popular coffee shop would be during an off time as it was very busy with folks enjoying a really pleasant early summer morning. We sat outside because it was so packed, and also because the weather was truly perfect. Just thinking about early June weather has me prepped and ready for it to cool off again! That being said, I can't speak much to the ambiance as I gave my order to my husband and took a seat outside with our daughter as the line was nearly out the door. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, a pastry, and each of us had an iced coffee. My coffee was really good - about what you expect for an iced coffee, and I remember the sandwich being really tasty. I think what makes this place stand out the most is how adorable it is and how it fits just perfectly into the neighborhood. I'd never been to this part of Minneapolis before and I absolutely loved the charm of this neighborhood. It felt very lived in, and I enjoyed how many people I saw out and about walking their dogs or taking their kids to the park on a weekend morning. I would absolutely return to this place next time I'm in the Twin Cities. I feel like it would be the perfect spot for an evening coffee date on a cold MN night - it just has this charm to it that I think would fit the bill, especially if it wasn't busy and you had time to really savor the pastries and your coffee.

Grabbed coffee and a breakfast sandwich with some friends over the weekend. The sausage, egg, and cheese croissant was so good! I had an iced caramel latte to wash it down. It's on a corner and the inside lends to a lot of character and not a cookie cutter place like a lot of new shops these days. The staff were super nice and helpful! Definitely will be back to spend a little more time and chill with a book and coffee.

Cuppa Java is a nice neighborhood coffee shop and hangout. Coffee is great and they off some pretty good breakfast options. I would recommend ordering food ahead of time as it can get pretty busy here and it's not exactly fastfood.

An adorable little neighborhood spot in the Bryn Mawr area near Theo Wirth! Came here with some friends to get a little work done and fell in love. This sweet spot is on the corner with a few other shops nearby, but it definitely stands out. Service: Wonderful! The cashier was friendly and recommended certain pastries, the baristas were quick. They closed at 3 and we were still working, so the staff let us sit outside with our drinks after closing. Goodies: So many baked goods that surprisingly weren't too picked over for an hour before closing on a Sunday! I tried the GF brownie and was VERY pleasantly surprised to find it had a caramel layer on top. The other food items looked delish too. Drinks: I got an iced chai and the two that joined me got a hot chai and a cold brew. All great flavor and no complaints here. Seating: This spot is best for groups of 2-3! Several two-top tables inside lining the windows, one larger table back in the corner, and tables outside on both sides of the building. Support this quaint local spot!

My friend and I came here because it's one of the few coffee shops that are open later than 5pm. She ordered the chai and I ordered a turtle mocha. She said she likes the chai here because it's creamy but not too sweet. The turtle mocha I got was okay, nothing special but a solid drink (although definitely on the sweet side). They did have a good array of pastries that I wish I had tried. However, my friend ordered the chicken tenders and described it with the words "tastes like Tyson" - not impressive for $8.50. Did leave me pretty skeptical about the food but maybe it just was not the right thing to order. While small it has a good amount of tables and chairs for the space, although most if not all the tables are for 2 people so bigger groups might have more a problem finding seating. Street parking is pretty easy on the street and in the surrounding areas, although the shop itself is located at the triangle corner of an intersection. Overall a decent neighborhood coffee shop and a someplace to go if you're looking for a coffeeshop vibe or a place to do work in the evening. I don't think I was too big of a fan of the drinks and the chicken tenders were disappointing to say the least, but maybe we just picked the wrong things to get there.

They call their red eye a 'slap in the face' (love it!) I personally had a white cloud, which is a sweet coffee (white chocolate and toasted marshmallow) and would recommend it to my boujee people swinging by.

This place was practically across the street, so we decided to take a breather from the hectic festivites and come here. Immediately we were greeted with cooling A/C and much-needed silence. Cool and quiet... the perfect escape. The place was decked out for pride with lots of colorful flags representing many of the wonderful ways to be queer. Definitely get bonus points for their allyship. I got a bottled Coca-Cola and my hubbie got a simple cup of brewed coffee. They had a reasonably-sized menu with even some smoothies and such listed, as well as a display of bakery items. A chalkboard showed their three seasonal beverages, which looked fun (though not my cup of tea). One of the employees was very helpful when I requested a cup of ice to go with my Coke; I needed the extra cool down after all the time we'd spent in the sun in the heat! We sat at one of the tables and appreciated leaning back into the chairs with back support for several minutes. Whew! Perked us back up nicely. There isn't a ton of space/lots of places to sit and I was kind of shocked the place wasn't flooded with queers, lol. There was quite the line for the bathroom though, according to my husband. The decor is nice and neat. I think I spotted a small selection of board games you could break out if desired too, which is fun.

The coffee shop is small but fun, and there's a nice cozy seating area outside I'd come back for. The coffee was good (though not in my top 10), with some unique flavors. I got the breve capp and it did taste a bit scorched. My daughter's LAB iced coffee was delicious. Service friendly and prompt. Bathroom a bit dirty but shared with other businesses.

I liked how the egg salad and cucumbers balanced out the butteriness and crispiness of the croissant! It was a very filling lunch. I came with my sister and we both got different teas. She enjoyed her hojicha tea with a bit of syrup added. I really liked the Po cha / Tibetan tea which was a buttery milky tea. It definitely woke me up. :) I would recommend if you are someone who likes not too sweet, nutty, and not too bitter teas. We both enjoyed the Tibetan momos -- the meat filling ones are definitely soupier which was enjoyable. The veggie dumplings tasted better with more of the chili crisp oil. The mochi ice cream most likely used the ones from MyMochi packs but the cream was nice to have and it was a fun sweet treat! Definitely would come back with family or friends when visiting the cities again. Drinks we got at the front where we ordered but they brought food for us which was nice since we decided to stay in to eat lunch. Seems like it's a nice place to study and work and they have WiFi. I also loved the individual task lights above the smaller tables. It's a small detail, but it made the space feel really thoughtful. The only downside is that there isn't much natural light, so the cafe can feel a little dark, especially toward the back. The staff was the biggest disappointment. They weren't rude, but they came across as pretty standoffish, which made the experience feel less welcoming than the space itself. I ordered the light roast coffee and, unfortunately, it was pretty terrible. That said, the menu is huge with lots of different drinks and food options, so I'm sure there's something on it that would be a much better choice. I also didn't try any of the pastries, but they looked absolutely massive and definitely caught my attention. Overall, I really wanted to like this place more. The atmosphere is great and it seems like an excellent spot to work or relax for a while, but the coffee and less than welcoming service left me a little underwhelmed. I'd be willing to give it another shot and try something different from the menu.
