This place is so cute and lots of space! Found this spot when waltzing out of Hazel's and wanting more than black diner coffee. So many options! There is a lot on the regular menu plus there are fun seasonal drinks as well. Also an aqesome food and pastry menu. Staff are always friendly and fast. Love coming here when I'm in the area.

This was a cute little shop in northeast Minneapolis. They have the regular array of espresso drinks, plus six or seven signature drinks such as the Mangler, with cold press, espresso and cream and the killer chai with chocolate and almond. The Coffee Shop NE also had some seasonal drinks when I visited, in celebration of the State Fair such as the Mini Doughnut Latte and the Sweet Martha. Plus, they had flavored milks such as root beer, blueberry and strawberry. It's a good stop for caffeination if you're already visiting Sarah Jane's Bakery across the street!

I should have taken a picture of the sandwich but it was so delicious I completely forgot. It was also very filling which is unusual for most breakfast sandwiches! I also got an iced latte which was just the best. The barista that took my order was so nice, we had a long conversation about tattoos! The interior has lots of seating available. You can either sit at one of the few tables out front (which is where I sat) or you can snag a table in the back portion of the building. When I was there it was pretty busy but everyone was still able to find a table. The art work and signs in the bathroom made me chuckle.

Came across this coffee shop and decided to do lunch to gosh I had the mozzarella and tomato sandwich . As I waited I took a seat in some of the few seats that were in the front section of the building. My order came right out and they told me to not forget to grab a fruit and a chip bag which I was surprised about. That just shows I didn't read the menu closely but hey I came out with a ruffles chips bag and an apple that I'm sure was a honey crisp because it was so juicy ! Honestly having this lunch on a Sunday made me have a great rest of my day. I felt the meal was very balanced and staff was very friendly! I noticed in display they had really appetizing slices of cake which I'm determined to get next time I'm here. Parking is very tricky here I'll say that, but I was very fortunate to find parking right in front of the building. The space looks pretty big in the back so it can accommodate a big group.

    The lovely window/entrance.

What a lovely coffee shop! Just as the coffee sleeve says, The Coffee Shop NE's coffee is "made with love" and it shows! The coffee and food is delicious! I enjoyed a cup of Costa Rica blend and an Eggel with sausage on a Croissant since they were out of bagels by 9am on a Thursday. I also enjoyed a slice of pumpkin bread, too! The cafe is cozy and comfy, quiet too, a perfect place to refresh. There are no hassles with parking too, since there's an attached parking lot at this establishment.! LOVE!

A very unique area of NE where the entire street is packed with vintage shops and overall positive vibes. The Coffee Shop NE surprised me on a Friday afternoon with nonstop customers. To me, this brought so much joy seeing a local business thrive. What makes this shop unique is the hybrid model of a breakfast restaurant as there are larger variations of food served (think egg sandwiches or lunch sandwiches, soups, grain bowls, etc.) and then a plethora of coffee and non coffee options such as ice teas and Italian sodas. The staff was far from short staffed as there were 6-7 employees working behind the register making food and drinks. The egg bagel sandwich hit home along with the classic cold press (CP) a maple soy mix. Yummy! If you dine in, you will get a number and the food will be brought to your table. There is also lots of fun merchandise to purchase such as coffee mugs, tumblers and coffee beans. There is a medium sized parking lot near the side of the building that is shared for all the surrounding shops. I wasn't able to snag one so I grabbed street parking a few blocks up. I look forward to returning again!

Have you ever walked into a coffee shop & been intimidated by the choices? And while reading the coffee menu get an major attitude from the barista? Well-don't expect that HERE at The Coffee Shop NE! My female Barista was friendly and efficient-helping me to find the perfect coffee drink: A blended latte with a shot of mint and topped with whipped cream. Thank you Coffee Shop NE! Next time I will try something new (and hopefully as wonderful as the blended latte).

Such a great spot located amongst a grouping of small businesses in NE! If you are having a day, go get a slice of cake. It is AMAZING!!! This small shop has a great range of hours and full breakfast/lunch menu. Truly something for everyone at this shop. Highly recommend stopping in and staying a while. People are coming and going throughout the day making it a great spot to get some work done.

My opinions are just as much rooted in the emotion attached to each bite. We live in Texas but spend lots of time in the Twin Cities. I'm a vegetarian, so I put off going to Diane's Place because it felt like the options for me were relatively limited. Boy, am I kicking myself for waiting! I told my wife after our first meal at Diane's Place this weekend that I compared the first bite (which happened to be the green scallion croissant) to my responses to certain music. As a musician and audiophile, hearing something moving or stirring can illicit a very visceral emotional response. I experienced a very similar response with that very first bite. My appreciation for the art of cuisine brought to perfection by Diane Moua literally caused my eyes to well up. This may sound like hyperbole, but it is not. The egg rolls were light and crispy and oddly nostalgic. The bamboo & cabbage swimming in coconut curry was my entree. On its own, it is perfectly balanced with the right amount of salt, acid, and umami. I tacked on some sticky rice and Hmong hot sauce...use with caution! It's potent but so delicious. Given Diane's background in pastry, don't skip dessert! We loved our experience so much on Sunday for dinner that we very quickly made a brunch reservation for Tuesday. Connor and Simon were extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.

We were lucky and got a table quickly but it was very crowded and loud for a bit. They seemed a bit short-staffed, too, although everyone we encountered was still friendly and helpful. Great things: my espresso martini was amazing. As an espresso martini addict, I'd consider this one a top in the cities. The patio space is fantastic, every single person got greeted when they walked in and thanked when they walked out. The bartender was very friendly and even gave us a suggestion for somewhere to go after for dinner. Unfortunate thing: The service. We didn't actually start at the bar. We started at a table on the patio and sat for about 10 minutes watching the server walk around us, she was obviously busy so that was fine, but after seeing 3 tables served who came in after us she finally walked to our table and said she'd be right with us after she put in the orders. Cool cool. Well, unfortunately, when she came back outside she did not come to our table and instead walked around taking orders from more people who came in after us and that's when we decided 20 minutes was too long and we went into the bar where the services was good. The outdoor server did apologize to us, and we do understand she was busy, but at that point we nixed the appetizer and just had cocktails due to it being later than planned and wanting to get to dinner. I'd definitely go again, like I said - fantastic espresso martini, but I did want to be honest about my experience.
