When the woman finally picked up, she was extremely rude. She kept talking over me, raised her voice at one point, and rushed me off the phone when I tried to ask a question. She would not let me make an appointment, and said that they would call me back later in the day. How hard is it to make an appointment?? She also asked me for my name twice, my phone number twice, my insurance carrier twice. Extremely frustrating. They called me back, and I was busy. I returned the call and got another woman who was very pleasant. Of course, she had to ask me the same questions that the first woman asked me, which was annoying. I asked her if they were in-network with my insurance carrier, and she said that they would look into it and call me if there was a problem. Not sure how they didn't already know--everybody other place that I've been to knows whether they are in-network or not. I show up at my appointment, and they tell me that they're not in network so the charge is going to be enormous. What a bait and switch. I was furious. I have no idea if the physical therapy is any good, but my experience with this place was just abysmal.

She recklessly took advantage of the opportunity to perform aggressive liposuction on me with little training and no prior experience. I was naive. I only went to her for vein treatment, but was persuaded heavily by her and her staff to commit to her new offer of liposuction. The biggest regret of my life!!! She ruined me body! I was awake but sedated. The wheels of the table I was on were not locked, so as she was jamming the burning tumescent scope into my hips and thighs the table was rolling all over the place. As she went to move to treat the opposite hip and leg, she lost her balance and grip on her tool, she fell down on the floor, leaving the scalding, burning scope inside me as she scrambled to her feet. I have spent over $40,000 in doctor's bills on revision lipo, fat-grafting, continuous injections and other procedures since my fateful encounter with Gina Louie. Desperate to correct the damage she did and to recover some semblance of the beautiful and natural body contours once I had. Bottom Line: Went only to Gina Louie's office for vein treatment. Never even considered plastic surgery before. She played her loud music and gave me a sufficient of benzodiazepine during the vein procedure. She talked about this great new liposuction she was offering, and for only a limited time at a discount. In my medicated state still during the procedure,I said I might be interested. Next thing I knew, once my vein treatment was done and I was waiting still in the treatment room, her sourly nurse comes in asking me to sign a contract for lipo treatment at a discount to be performed upon Dr. Louie's return from CA where she will be undergoing medical training in the procedure. So here I am signing an agreement and paying a deposit to have a brand new form of laser liposuction performed on me, not by a plastic surgeon, but by a vein radiologist with absolutely no prior experience. This woman has killed me in so many ways. Her greed has stolen so much from me and has filled my life with grief and regret. I wish I had called her out much sooner and much louder, but at the time I was so naive, distressed and depressed, and so ashamed of myself for allowing someone to take advantage of me and my body image.

He does not beat around the bush and so far has been very honest about how bad things will hurt or recover... which is a big deal for me... I hate surprises! I highly recomend him.... My arm was swollen twice it's size, my fingers had turned blue, and I lost sensation in my hand. He knew I was there. He spoke to the nurse while I was in a bed writhing in pain. I received a call this week to say that they would need to reschedule, even though my appointment is just a few days away. When I called to reschedule, the receptionist informed me that Dr. Gounder is no longer taking new patients. I stated that I had made this appointment 6 weeks ago to which she replied, with an attitude. "What do you want me to do about it?" Extremely unpleasant experience from start to finish. The two stars is for the truly amazing care that Dr.Patel offers at this practice. After being highly recommended I scheduled an apt 4 months in advance to switch my PCP. The appointment was efficient and covered all of my many needs. I also got blood work in-house and then was sent on my way. Shortly after I was billed over $400 for my visit as the service was considered not covered by my insurance. Note: I had called and cleared the dr by insurance prior to my visit. After calling my insurance they said they would work with the Hackensack to adjust, after a few months it was adjusted again but still over $200. I repeated the process again it was $152. My insurance is still confirming that this should be covered as it is my annual well visit by a PCP. I am still receiving bills however when I sign into mychart there is zero balance, yet on Hackensack billing portal there is the $152 balance. When I call Hackensack billing they also say I have no balance, yet they are still mailing me bills for all difference amounts ($15.45, and $152). It has now been over 4 months and I still cannot get the insurance and Hackensack group to align and am unfortunately never going to be able to see Dr.Patel again due to these struggles.

I had an urgent situation and called for an hour starting at 8:00AM. Someone did not answer until 9:30AM. They said they would call me back and hours went by. I called again at 2:00PM because their machine says out from 1-2 for lunch. It is now 3:00 and their office is "still closed." I suppose since they close at 4:00, I will not be getting my call back today. 2- They only accept cash (sketchy and terribly inconvenient considering its 2016). Oh, and fax only as well. 3- Some of the women at the front desk are nice but others are completely rude. 4- Every time I have ever gone to see the doctor, I arrive 15 minutes early. I wind up getting seen an hour or so after that. Again, not the doctors fault, but the people at the front desk. Unfortunately I will have to switch doctors because this just isn't working for me.

I'm always skeptic with Groupons (it was a steal of a deal), but it was awesome! I left feeling like a feather. Had to wait a bit till the masseuse ended another massage, but no complains when they have a massaging chair!! Overall great experience.
