I'd check into a variety of sources prior to selecting American Laser. Research the equipment they use, how frequently (x/mo) and long you're permitted to come (up to 2 years), if they have a variety of practitioners to choose from (not all do it the same), hours of availability, etc. If I had to do it over again, which I might have to at the rate I'm going, I'd go through my dermatologists' practice.

Maybe working in the medical field I am bias to understanding that yes there can be delays but how often does the physician actually get to work with you, and not just the nurse or nurse practitioner doing much of the interviewing. And even if the wait is longer than expected which it wasn't long at all in my opinion, the staff always apologized and made sure I was okay. I wouldn't want a speedy service anyway because that would mean the physician is not taking the alloted time to meet and address all the concerns of their patients. I tried out Dr. Oliver because my long term Ob/gyn retired. Skipping over the small, the biggest thing and last straw was because I raised a concern and she did blood test but after NUMEROUS calls to the office and being told by seemingly ANNOYED staff that if my labs were abnormal I would get a call. NEVER got that call so I decided to check for myself and they were in fact ABNORMAL. This was an entire MONTH after my labs were done. I called to let them know about this and the Young lady I spoke to told me that I would be called back. No Call back. Week later So now, we are here. The biggest thing for me is that even with a mistake like this , people make mistakes you would think Dr. Oliver would call or apologize for the over sight but nothing. This is the surgeon from hell. Went in for a liposuction procedure. That should've been my first sign to head for the hills. Anyway, the anesthesiologist came there to sedate me and must not be given me enough. I awakened to the dr and a few other people trying to turn me over because he had apparently dropped me on my hip? One of my hips was SERIOUSLY flattened during the procedure. I looked like I was deformed. One hip was completely flat and the other round. I was in total disbelief and was told I would heal and the fat would settle. Bull----!!! I went to another dr who refused to even touch me. He told me I needed to get more lipo to now fill that area with fat that I was dropped on. Now here is where things got interesting. Dr Shureih agreed I was in shambles due to his bs procedure and agreed to fix the issue but at another charge!!! He saw I was jacked up and instead of graciously fixing the problem and being grateful I wasn't dragging him to court about this deformity, he greedily charged me for another anesthesiologist and a "discounted" rate for additional lipo I would NOT have otherwise needed had he NOT jacked me up in the first place!!!! If that were fair, he could go around messing everyone up with the intentions of making more money to revise HIS mistakes!! I was left with no choice since no other dr would correct his mishap and I was stuck with a deformed hip. Even after his corrective surgery and time to heal, my hips still aren't even from being dropped on that table. Do NOT trust this back alley guy. He has a very low moral compass and is only concerned about making money...oh and more money. Be WISE!! Take your money to a proper surgeon. READ THE REVIEWS!! Check to see if they've been sued for malpractice. This guy has a looong track record of jack ups. Truly wish I'd done my homework. Hope to help someone else.
