I was referred to CCG of South Florida by one of my doctor friends. I was looking to change our…read moreprimary care physician provider and CCG came highly recommended. I actually got the referral back in January and did a Telemedicine call with the nurse practitioner Deborah Charvat, NP when I wasn't feeling well. I loved Deborah almost immediately because she was very detail oriented, attentive, and caring. She also took her time on the call and helped assess my situation. She said after I'm done feeling better, call the office to schedule an appointment to get proper bloodwork, and everything done. Obviously I was slacking and haven't done that until now. I have an appointment to see her soon. On another note, I called to schedule a last-minute appointment to see any of the physicians as I've had a lingering cough and just wanna get it checked out to be safe. They were able to squeeze me in on the same day to see Dr. Zahar. CCG of South Florida is located in Plantation. funny enough, many of my other specialty doctors are located in this area. So it's convenient as well. The office is located in the Westside Medical Plaza in the first floor. It's the first office on the right as you walk into the building. Suite 103. I signed in the front desk attendants were very helpful. There were only two other people waiting at the time and they called me in within 10 minutes. Pretty impressive. A gentleman name Enzo helped check me in before the doctor came in. Dr. Zahar came in a little bit after Enzo was done. They were pretty quick and attentive. The doctor asked a bunch of questions and he typed away on his laptop, but he wasn't like many other doctors where he was in and out and done. He took the time to find out what was going on and made referrals accordingly. He gave me a list of things I needed to take care of and schedule a follow up after everything is done, including bloodwork. When I checked out, the young lady at the front office, Gigi was very nice and very patient as she was getting everything done for me to check out. Nice office, friendly staff and attentive healthcare providers. What a nice change from my last PCP who was meh.

I specifically scheduled with Dr. Pereira, as I had heard wonderful things about him. Unfortunately, my experience was negatively impacted by the front desk staff, a blonde woman that gave me the biggest attitude from the moment I walked in. I ran out of the house without my physical insurance card. When I arrived, I asked the woman receptionist if I could show my insurance card on my phone or email it to her, and while she said yes, her response came with a noticeable attitude. My appointment was at 10:30 AM, and I arrived about 10 minutes early. I attempted to log into my insurance app but had difficulty because the app required a confirmation code that never came through. I later realized I did not have cell service in the office. The receptionist loudly called out my last name and asked if I was ready. I explained the issue, and she responded by reminding me--rather sharply--that it was my responsibility to bring my insurance card. She then stated that the office only allowed a 15-minute grace period before requiring a reschedule. I'm not sure how this 15 minute grace period stacks up against the times that they are running late. At that point, I asked her to reschedule my appointment. I also asked if she had the phone number for my insurance company so I could call and have the card emailed directly to the office. She said she did not, which I found surprising given that insurance verification is part of routine office operations. Throughout this interaction, her attitude remained dismissive and unhelpful. I ultimately left feeling frustrated and discouraged. The level of customer service I experienced here makes it unlikely that I will return. While I am sure that Dr. Pereira is an excellent physician, there are many great doctors available and they don't come with unpleasant receptionists. Patient experience starts at the front desk. I hope management considers additional training for front desk staff, as professionalism and empathy go a long way--especially for patients who have waited months for an appointment.

Update: Called in to the office to try and resolve this…read more The office manager repeatedly just denied that it ever happened and told me I was wrong. I forwarded an email chain from over 2 years ago showing I sent them my bill, and that I requested help and she ignored me and refused to let me talk to the provider. I called back in and she kept me on hold repeatedly refusing to answer my call. Came in for a physical and to have blood work done. They sent my bloodwork to quest, and to my surprise one test (of the many they requested), randomly was not covered by my insurance despite the rest being covered. The cost of this one random test that was not covered was over 400 dollars while the rest show 5-10 dollars billed to insurance with a 0 dollar out of pocket cost on the itemized receipt. I was getting blown up by quest, threatening to send me to collections, etc.. and primary cart specialist of south Florida told me it was an error and that quest should not have done this and would handle it. Fast forward almost 2 years later and I get a collection company letter in the mail stating quest has sent me to collections and that they've bought the debt. Absolutely awful experience with this office, they told me over and over they would handle this and now I'm being sent to collections and my credit is being majorly impacted because they failed to do any sort of follow up.

This is a Lousy Care Group of South Florida…read more I have been a patient of this "GROUP" for 2 years, and the list of ongoing issues is piling up. It is too much. 1) Comprehensive Care Group Of South Florida ILLEGALLY charged me $100 for my telemedicine visit in March of 2020. I told them I should not be paying $100, and the admin team then I cannot see my doctor! I reported this to my insurance and Florida Blue confirmed that I SHOULD not be paying $100 for Telemedicine. I reported this to CCG of South Florida, and the lady from Billing made up some BS reason for why I possibly had to pay that much money. There is NO REASON TO PAY $100 FOR TELEMEDICINE! This is confirmed by my insurance several times, and CCG can see this. The lady from Billing said she will investigate and call me back, but it has been 3 weeks, and no callbacks. 2) TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. You leave an URGENT message with the front desk team to get to your doctor, the message NEVER makes it! NO callback! Ever! Even if you die. Who cares. 3) info@ccgofsouthflorida.com inbox posted and advertised on their website is USELESS. No one ever answers it! Ever. 4) No in-person visits STILL. Seriously? Is this the COMPREHENSIVE CARE your offer? MOST PCP offices started seeing patients in person already. It's June 7, 2020 for God's sake. But CCG of South Florida could not care less! Everything is Telemedicine. Are you operationally so dysfunctional? Or too lazy to get back to work? Maybe both. 5) Good luck getting a hold of your Doctors! It is pretty much IMPOSSIBLE! 6) The Front Desk team is rude and incompetent and provides false information all the time. WOW. All the time. 7) My last Telemedicine call with Dr. Borisiak was unpleasant. She works from the comfort of her own home, and yet she was rushing me and was trying to get me off the call!! I find this very unprofessional. Are you kidding me? NO ONE should be giving such TERRIBLE Primary Care any business and especially your health. CG should be ashamed of such POOR services they offer to their patients. This is truly a Lousy Care Group of South Florida. SHAME. Lousy Leadership, Lousy Patient Care, Lousy Operation. They could not care less about us, the patients. CCG is in Primary Care business to collect money from Insurance companies and from patients. That's all. What a shame.

I explained that I had a job interview to leave for at 9:30 and confirmed the appointment. 8:45 I get the pre-call. 8:55 I join the telemed session. 9:35 I leave with the Dr never having joined. 10:05 I am waiting to start my interview and Dr. Borisiiak calls. The scary part is that she seemed very puzzled by my reaction to the lack of respect for my time and indifference to getting my condition under control. When I repeated that I was being called into the interview her response was "But I am here now." I don't know if the problem is her indifference or it's the entire practice. Either way I would suggest going elsewhere.

I feel like their online appointment app shouldn't schedule appointments when they are really busy. The waiting room was quite cold and I found the chairs uncomfortable....probably because I was achy. Once I was called the staff was very kind and helpful.  They took my vitals, ran a few tests and called in some prescriptions for me. The process was fast once I was called back. I actually started feeling better by evening. I will definitely continue to choose this UrgentMed location. The waiting room can be long; but probably much faster and less expensive than visiting the ER!

There are a few times that they are WAY behind when it comes to appointments that it makes me wonder what the point of making one is. I had to wait almost 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment because they only had 2 people working at the time. They were apologetic but I was never told there would be a bit of a backup because of this. The location is easy to find and the parking lot has a nice amount of spaces for everyone that needs to come here. The lobby is always clean and there is more than eniugh seating as well. One of their main entrance doors is stuck so there is only one door to come in and out. The rooms are clean but very small so I feel like I'm ontop of everyone when there is more than two people in the room at a time. Overall it's a great urgentmed and my choice in case I get under the weather or need something quick looked at!
