I was not disappointed in the rich flavors of the sauce and the flavor of the beef, as I ordered the Filetto con Raviole e Funghi. The raviole were tender but not over cooked. Mixed in with the sauce it left me with a rich smooth flavor. Before feeling overly drowned in the heavy richness of the sauce and cheese in the ravioli, I enjoyed their lemon juice, which provided enough refreshing, sourness to cleanse the pallet. We have moved back to Curitiba a few months ago and we finally decided to try out this place. We were certain that we would get an outstanding food and service after hearing so many good things about it. It was, unfortunately, a disappointment. It is expensive, the service is not good and the food tasted worse than a food court Italian place (yes you read it correctly). If you are an American you might like this place as they cook their red sauce with loads of garlic. This is exactly what made me stop going to "regular" so-called "italian" places in the USA. Now I am not going back to Cantina do Delio again as it is a true "Italian"-American place. The food took 45 minutes to arrive and once we were served it was a true disappointment. The servers were sort of rude and we had to keep calling them over to check on us. They do have a nice kids area though, this is a good feature. The valet parking is expensive but living in Brazil that's the price you have to pay to make sure your car is not stolen.

Walking in the front door, ya gotta love walking over the glass ceiling of Porcini's wine cellar and peering at the vast selection of the Chilean cabs below. Tonight, our group of 14 dined upstairs and thoroughly the two-and-a-half hour experience. Starting with outstanding and bountiful salads, we progressed to bone-in Ribeyes, dishes of baked fish and always the nice touch of sides of pasta. I really love how they keep the bottles of beer cold in a bucket of ice right in the middle of the table....especially when it is locally brewed Bohemia beer...my favorite. Once we placed our drink orders, we were settled in for a 3-hour experience with a wide variety of some of the best meats on the planet. Of course we started with the salad bar which included everything you could imagine including a full wing of sushi and sashimi. While the Japanese staple might be a surprise to many in a Brazilian BBQ, there were actually a lot of Japanese immigrants that came to Brazil after WW II. While Japanese are not the dominant ethnic group here, they definitely have a presence and the sushi underscores that fact. The salad and sushi were good but the various cuts of beef and pork barbecued on skewers were friggin' fantastic as always. The Tropilha Grill scores a solid 4.25 stars.
