The tasting room was a nice diversion from all of the family themed events of the day. The newer strip style shopping area is more upscale than its older neighborhood. The tasting room's garage style doors open up to a large shared front yard with lawn games like corn hole boards and large chess. The wines were mostly sweet with a few semi sweet, two dry whites, and two dry reds. Four 1 to 1.5 ounce tastings were $5. Bottles and glasses are available for purchase. $8/glass and $25-30 bottles were the average. Very limited food consisted of 4 reasonably priced prepackaged Boar's Head single meat and cheese options and hummus with pretzels. Three tables if 4, two low bar chairs, and a few side nice folding chairs were available. The space is very disabled accessible. While there is not a place to sit at the tasting bar, they can accomodate you at a table. Bathrooms are two units over but require leaving the building. read more

A place to get a quick wine tasting or a glass of wine! This was a second stop for our group on a whiskey/wine tasting journey. It's in the same strip mall as a distillery. So after we hit that location, this paired nicely with our journey. It was relatively empty when we arrived, but were greeted by a nice gentleman behind the counter. We got to choose I think 5 wines to try. We got a brief explanation of each and were told that if for whatever reason we didn't like it, he'd swap it out for something different. We came here recently to do a tasting. The winery was very welcoming and clean. What we tried: 3 Mile - A good muscadine wine Golden Harvest - A sweet muscadine wine, good and preferred it over 3 mile Sunrise - A very peachy wine; loved it! Sunset - A strawberry wine that was definitely tart. It hits you with a bite, but still enjoyable. Sweet Cheryl - A cherry wine. This was a wine with a dry finish, so I did not find it to be Sweet like the name says. Was not a fan of this one. Midnight - A blackberry wine. Good, but I've had other blackberry wines that I just enjoy more. Ole Blue - Good blueberry wine; definitely a dessert style blueberry wine. Very Berry - Blueberry, blackberry, pomegranate blend. Was a good one. My only complaint was service. While welcoming, the way the tasting was done was not my style. Our server would pour our first wine choice in the glass. Then before I could even try the wine, gather my thoughts and finish drinking what I was served, our server was hovering with the wine bottle of our next wine choice. It felt a little invasive and rushed. My preference is for them to sit back, let us enjoy it and when they notice that our wine glass was empty, to then retrieve the bottles for the next wine choice. Definitely would recommend if you are in the area to give them a try. We left with a bottle of the Sunrise (Peach). read more

Stopped by Currahee Vineyards today and was greeted by CINDEE and she was awesome, from her warm pleasant demeanor to her extensive experience with the wines. She had a vibrant personality that made you feel welcomed and appreciated. I recommend anyone that's visiting the Pigeon Forge area to stop by for a wine tasting at a cost of $5.00 per person with prof of ID. You can taste up to 5 different types and a bonus. We loved Sunrise and MIDNIGHT the best. Also enjoyed the warm wine taste and the berry slushy wine! read more

This facility is clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and willing to spend time to get to know my wine tastes. This shop is in a strip mall. So no wine is made here. Only tastings. They had three solid dry wines unlike many of the wine tasting shops in the area. read more

If I'm being honest I'm not a huge wine fan. My friends and I had stopped in this shopping area to visit a nearby brewery. The brewery was closed so we decided to try Currahee on a whim. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! The winery isn't very large. It's basically just a bar that stretches almost the length of the room. We decided to try the sampler to test out all the wines Currahee offered. I really enjoyed almost all the wines I tried! Also the price of the sampler was very reasonable! My friends and I agreed the best part of our tasting experience was the very friendly and knowledgeable employee, Carolina, that did our tasting. She talked to us like we were old friends and made the experience that much better! I even bought a couple bottles of wine which is something I never do. Next time I'm in Tennessee I'll be sure to visit again! read more

Coming from visiting tons of California wineries, I wasn't expecting much. I was so surprised with this winery. I really liked the red wines, especially the Destiny wine. The Pinot Grigio was also light and dry - just what I enjoy. The price point was good and the service was great. They were friendly, answered our questions, and made good recommendations. read more

We went in to this gorgeous wine shop literally hours after they opened, Sherry served us and we had an awesome experience. She told us backgrounds on the wines which added to the experience. I normally shun flavored wines, but the Sunset, Sunrise and Ol Blue were out of this world. They have hints of wild strawberry, orange and blueberry, respectively. I will have to go back or call to get the recipes she told us about if we want to make them more versatile depending on events. The Ole Blue can be used for mulled wine (I think that's the one). It's a killer location too there is a vast expanse out front at which they will eventually have concerts and things. There's other places along the promenade but we only went to this one. I highly recommend paying them a visit. Made a wonderful visit escaping all the screaming kids at the water parks! read more

I had the pleasure of visiting the Currahee Winery recently while in Pigeon Forge Tn. I deffinatley would recomend stoppig in there if you get the chance. They wont disapoint.The wines were wonderful and the staff was great. Cindee was our wine sever. She was amazing . She had us all laughing and made us feel like old friends by the time we left.
