East Tennessee wines are sweet wines, but always worthy of a stop. Tennessee Homemade Wines is a company I have loved for years, but this weekend was my first visit at their Tanger Outlets location! They offered a great tasting experience of either 3 free samples or 8 samples for around $10-11 something with tax, which is well worth it if you want to explore their selection. Their new 10th Anniversary Blueberry wine was excellent, and the Bourbon Blueberry was another standout, though both were a little higher priced than what I was looking to spend. I ended up taking home some of my favs - Strawberry, Blackberry, and Salted Watermelon Cider, and I absolutely love all three! They has a deal where if you buy 5, your 6th is free so I took advantage since I was buying for a family gathering. One thing I appreciate is that their wines don't contain preservatives, which gives them a fresh, homemade feel. Just be aware they recommend enjoying them within about six months. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the tasting process without being pushy. Whether you're a sweet wine fan or just looking for a fun stop while shopping, this place is definitely worth checking out. read more

This is a cute winery to stop in while shopping at the outlets. Bartenders are very nice and informative on their selection. We did the winery trail (highly recommend) and our favorites were peach mimosa cider, mountain latte cream wine, and the blackberry wine. read more

I definitely recommend doing the wine trail! For $10, you visit 5 spots where you can sample a bunch of different ciders and wines at your own pace (but within 7 days). And if you complete all 5 within that week-long period, you also get a T-shirt! This is the one spot that's a bit out of the way from the other trail locations, but it's in a really nice area! read more

Out of all the locations on the wine trail, this was our favorite one! The wines tasted the best here to us, the service was very friendly and hospitable, and the overall tasting experience felt more authentic, guided (not rushed), and fun. It was a pleasure visiting as our first stop on tour. Dave, tastemaker, setup cider and wine tastings. I can tell you I've never ever liked cider but on this day, that completely changed! I enjoyed most flavors of cider we tried. So much so that we made a second visit before we left. Our cider tasting included: Golden Apple, Peach Mimosa*, Pineapple*, Watermelon; wine tasting included 10 yr anniversary blackberry*, blackberry, strawberry, hard hitting tea and Mountain Chocolate crème*. * ones I liked. We were also allowed to try a bonus and I chose PB&J wine... not a fan of this one. Overall the tasting was fun and Dave was a rockstar with pours and explanations on the brand. I purchased 10Yr Anniversary Blueberry Bammer, Pineapple 750ML Cider and Lemonade Slush Mix_Cider for Arnold Palmer concoction On Second visit, Travis assisted us. We were able to enjoy the free tasting option trying out a few more a piece. This time around I purchased Strawberry as he showed us it mixes well with Pineapple, Hibiscus Cider 750 ml and Mountain Chocolate. Second go round was fun as well. This was our fifth stop on the Gatlinburg Wine Trail. Let me start by saying some of the wines here are pretty dang good. Great Niagra and Proper Peach were a couple that I really wish I could find a way to fit into my suitcase. Unfortunately, the whole experience was sullied by the server. We're about 90% sure he was drunk, and when we walked up his first words were basically an irritated "well thanks for wasting my time" to the couple that had just vacated, as they chose not to buy anything. We didn't purchase anything, and I mentioned that we already had a few bottles in our suitcase. His response was something to the effect of "That's great but it doesn't help me any." Just a miserable person. He claimed he'd been working there for 5 years, maybe he assumed he was a seasoned veteran and could get away with it? Not sure, but that was a downer. read more

This place is by far my favorite in Pigeon Forge! I just went in to browse, and the salesman had me walking out with three ciders and two free glasses! Sometimes, it's just the wonderful vibe someone gives off that makes you say, "You know what? I didn't want anything, but since you came off so nice and not pushy, I'll take three bottles, please!" I wish there was a place like this in Virginia Beach! To the salesman that helped me out on Sunday keep up the GREAT WORK!!! read more

Great service and wasn't busy at all. This was our last stop for the Tennessee cider trail and we got a free t shirt at the end. The bartender let us choose which ones we wanted to try which was cool! This store is in a maze of other shops and a little hard to find but was good. Only thing was they didn't give a slushy at the end and the other ones did. read more
