We had a great time at Tennessee Stud Cider! The tasting was a really fun experience, and there was a wide variety of ciders to try. The majority of them were honestly so good, there's something for everyone depending on what flavors you like. I'll admit I'm usually not a fan of anything "milky," but the Chocolate Beignet completely surprised me, I actually loved it! It was unique and definitely one of my favorites from the tasting. The service was great as well, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxed, and it's a great place to stop if you're in the area. Come for the tastings, leave with some cider! My husband and I were passing through when he mentioned that there was a cider place. I love cider and after dropping over $100 on moonshine next door the day before, I didn't want to be tempted. But sure enough, I found myself inside looking at the tasting menu. You can sample 3 ciders for free or pay $5 for 8 samples of cider and 2 cream wines. We chose to pay for the tasting to get a broader range of flavors. Our bartender was nice, efficient, and friendly. Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off and we couldn't talk anymore after that (we were discussing tattoos). When the fire alarms stopped, we went back in and made a deal with the devil. Buy 5 get 1 free. The ciders are DELICIOUS! Oh boy, I might just need to find an AA meeting with how smooth and flavorful these ciders and cream wines are. I highly recommend doing the $5 tasting because it's entirely worth it. Dang, this is some tasty cider. I've stopped inside her places before to do tastings in truly, didn't care for the tartness or the extra fizz. This however, has a great taste, and just enough is to tickle your nose but not to make you gassy LOL the guy behind the bar was extremely knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. They have great stock of ciders displayed throughout the store. I definitely recommend that you go in and give it a try, you will probably walk out with at least one bottle in your hand maybe two. read more

I was drawn to Tennessee Stud Cider because they offer four tasting samples of their hard cider. I couldn't pass that up! They have lots of different flavors, including cider that has cream in it. The cider that I tried from Tennessee Stud was amazing. It goes down really easy -- almost too easy, honestly. It was like drinking fizzy juice. If you are the type of person who doesn't love the taste of alcohol, but ya wanna get a buzz, this is for you. I do happen to be a person who likes the taste of alcohol, and I still loved this cider. They are doing great things with apple juice here. This is a great place to pop into while you're visiting The Island at Pigeon Forge. I wandered in and got a seat at the bar (which is big and has many seats), and was served right away. The atmosphere was exactly what you would want at a cider bar: Happy and friendly, with people just happy to be drinking fermented juice. read more

No, my Yelp didn't glitch, I went to both Tennessee Stud Cider locations. Free samples, okay! This location in The Island at Pigeon Forge was far less crazy than the Gatlinburg location so I'd Grecco coming ti this one as we got served quicker. The strawberry mango one was a favorite and I got a bottle of that from here. They also have a lot of cream wines to choose from too if you like dessert wines. read more

This retail store and tasting room is truly impressive. I was drawn in from a distance just by the visual appeal. It looks like you would expect a premium distiller store to look. I walked in and admired the many interesting varieties of hard cider displayed in full shelves. I've included a couple of pics I took of one bottle. It didn't take me long to find a friendly face, Johnny, behind the tasting bar counter. I asked him if the store was new, since it looked so nice. He confirmed that they'd been there less than a year, even though they have been around as a business much longer. They used to be part of a bigger distilling company, but now the hard cider company is all it's own. That tells me it's going well! Indeed, Johnny confirmed it is going really well. If I recall correctly, they'd sample 3 varieties for free or 10 varieties for $5. What a deal! I went for just the 3 free. I sampled both ends of the sweet/dry spectrum, and then I sampled one of the cream varieties. I forget if that's what they called it, but it had double the alcohol level. They were all amazing. When I sampled the varieties, Johnny described them like a wine connoisseur describes wine. He knows his products, and it's clear that he enjoys what he does. It was fun to have him describe exactly what I would taste from start to finish with each variety, and he nailed it. Impressive! On my way out to the car that night, I saw a guy carrying a bag from this store. I asked him if he bought some. He proudly said yes, two bottles.
