The guy working was super friendly and changed my dollars to Mexican pesos. The whole experience was seamless and didn't take long at all. Totally surprised by all the positive reviews and shout-outs for Isaiah. I think he's pretty terrible. Hard to believe he actually manages such a high-profile branch. I ordered currency online on May 8th; on May 9th, I received a confirmation email that bank notes are ready and have been set aside; on May 10th, I called to let the branch know that I'd be in on May 13th (they said "no problem"); on May 13th, I walk in...and promptly walk out empty handed. Why? Because Isaiah didn't actually set aside the currency. And those confirmation emails I got? "System generated," so meaningless. No sorry, no nothing. Wasted two hours driving from and to Orange County thinking stopping here would be convenient. Isaiah is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you're going to get. The service here is awful. I came in to purchase foreign currency. They told me there was a $5 fee which they waived. They ended up taking 20% of my funds. You don't see it because they just give you less of the foreign currency. They told me if I saved my receipt, they would buy the foreign currency back at the same rate. I returned and they bought the foreign currency back but refused to give me the same rate. They took about 10% when buying it back. Would recommend going somewhere else. read more

It's in the Century City Mall, on the second floor between Eatly and Macys. It is not listed in the Westfield app, nor in the touch-screen maps. The rates are not posted on a visible sign, which seems pretty suspicious? They seem to be using a sheet of paper with the rates; since I couldn't clearly see it, I can't comment on whether or not the rates are competitive. I went there during business hours while in a rush on the way to my overseas trip. I figured even if their rates / fees were terrible, that it would probably be better than what I got at the airport. However, even though I was there during business hours, there was a sign saying "back in fifteen minutes". I'm not sure exactly how long I waited, but it was several minutes. Since I was in a bit of a hurry I couldn't stay for the whole fifteen minutes. I called to the back and I think I heard someone reply that they were still on break for several minutes. I used to work an hourly job, so I understand the importance of break. However, this job does not seem to have any sort of physical strain, so I'm not super sympathetic in this case (vs. someone working a physically-taxing role). This place is dishonest and we won't be back. We came her to exchange currency and ended up losing 10% of the value of our currency without any mention of it other than a $5 fee. When we called the company back to ask why we lost the value they stated theres an exchange rate and the company takes money off the top for themselves. We asked to get our original currency back to get our value back and they told us they'd take an additional 10% for the exchange rate. I get the company can't get by with $5 fee's but when you go behind the customers back and fail to mention that your takin 10% of their value from them that is a lie. read more

Ok, so I'm new to the currency exchange game, but I came in today to change 800 dollars into Euro currency. The exchange rate for the date today according to google is $800 = €640 (if you search "800 dollars to euro, it'll give you the current rate). After coming here, I ended up getting €610 for $812 (I added 12 bucks to "even out the euro's I would get back"). The difference between the daily exchange rate and what I paid at this "great value" place was €40, or, just under $50, add in the $10 service charge, and it COST ME SIXTY DOLLARS to go here. It was my first time jumping into the water with money sharks, and rest assured it will be the last. Anyone and everyone would be better off putting money onto your credit card or using an ATM or debit card. No fees you'll pay will even come close to fees you'll pay at this place. And if they say this is a "good" deal, I can't imagine how bad the others must be. Lesson learned for me. Never Again, unless it's a life and death emergency of some sort. read more

I'm not sure why I always thought this place had better rates than other places. Bank of America actually referred me to this place to get my money exchanged. I was trying to get USD from Euros, and the exchange rate was even worse than Bank of America's (and that's pretty bad). Changing currencies always a rip-off, but I was still not happy that the rate was this bad. You also get charged a fee, but if you check in on Yelp, you can get 50% off the fee ($5 to $2). My advice is just to spend the money and get yourself something nice :-) read more

The exchange rate today has hovered around $1.36 US = 1 Euro. I called in the morning and was quoted $1.45 US for an exchange from Euros. Wow, too good to be true! I confirmed the figure twice, and asked for the final amount including transaction fee, to be 100% certain and not have any surprises. They said that the rate was good for the whole day. I spoke to Candace, who's a supervisor. In the afternoon, my relative arrived and was quoted $1.290. The teller replies, "Oh, $1.45 is the sell price for Euros. The buy price is $1.290". My relative called me to complain about the discrepancy, a rather large one. I'm upset because I clearly explained during my call 3 times that we had Euros. I call the teller and she says that Candace must have made a mistake. I ask the teller to call her boss Candace, who's not in the office, to honor their price since it was their mistake. I get a call back and the best they will do is $1.293 US. Sorry, Currency Exchange International. You lost a customer due to this major mistake. read more
