THE AMBIENCE I was truly wowed when I walked through the entrance. This place is absolutely gorgeous. The attention to detail is unmatched and is a place I could see myself hanging out for hours. The seating is very comfortable. THE STAFF It was very busy while I was in there and the staff maintained friendly and patient attitudes, which I found so admirable for a place that's in its soft open. The staff was also very knowledgable about the menu. THE DRINK/FOOD The honey cake was TO DIE FOR. Seriously. I think I dreamed of it that night. All of their pastries and cakes are made fresh and from scratch and you can really tell. The person who took my order suggested the Qahwtea latte and it was truly one of the best lattes I've ever had. It wasn't very sweet (which I loved) and was full of warm spices. THE PRICE I won't lie--it's definitely more expensive than your big box places but the experience you get coupled with the well-crafted coffees and expertly baked pastries is worth it. I left with that rare warm and happy feeling you have when you've just experienced an incredible dining experience. 11/10 will be returning!!! read more

The place is very pretty when you walk in. Beautiful decor and very thought out. There are an array of sweets to choose from. We chose the pistachio cake and some sort of Turkish cake I think it was with a tres leches twist to it. Of the two we liked the Turkish one better. The pistachio was dry. I thought I ordered a coffee. It was listed under the coffee section. But what I got was weird. I don't know how to explain it. Something was missing though. Maybe milk? But I was not offered any so makes me think it wasn't meant to have it. I'm not really sure. Something was off. Didn't enjoy it. Couldn't drink it. It also was deathly hot. I burned my tongue and just considered it is not my type of place. I won't be back but the service was great. The ladies were very nice and helpful. Gorgeous new Yemeni coffee shop in Huntsville. Had a positive first experience and can't wait to return when they've gotten all the kinks out. As a few others have stated, although the space inside is quite large, parking is pretty limited. There's a little more room in the back, though the lot isn't as even back there. Parking aside, it's a beautiful inside space, super clean and modern with lots of design details that pay homage to Middle Eastern culture. I met two friends visiting from out of town here and we had plenty of room to relax and didn't feel like we were hogging the space despite our long visit since there was always room for other guests to find a spot to sit. The menu is fairly large and they also offer a great deal of both savory and sweet pastries. The service was friendly and eager to help or answer questions. The cashier/barista was unable to answer some of our questions about the contents of some of the drinks due to her not being Yemeni, but she was quick to ask the owners who were available and happy to assist. I wanted to get their semi-viral pistachio latte, which looked gorgeous, but unfortunately they had run out of the pistachio syrup. I guess that happens when you go viral in Huntsville, hah. Oh well, a good reason to return soon. I was also wanting a pastry but for the most part their more Middle Eastern inspired goods had sold out and they were left with cheesecakes. Nothing wrong with that - they were all gorgeous slices - but again, I'll just have to come back soon to snag the goods. I wound up ordering a latte with dark chocolate. My pals got two different special Yemeni teas; I missed the names. One pal is severely lactose intolerant and asked for her drink to be made with oat milk instead of cow's milk and was informed it was no longer authentic that way, which...I mean, sure! She admired the commitment to authenticity, lol. Both pals enjoyed their drinks and remarked on the strength and depth of flavor in the tea. They were also wowed by the beauty of the space. We enjoyed almost two hours of uninterrupted time together and we felt welcome and right at home. My latte with dark chocolate was rich, complex, and pleasantly but not overwhelmingly sweet. Maybe a teeeeeeny bit heavy on the milk, but I'm nit-picking here mostly. Solid drink! Once they get the opening jitters down I have no doubt this place will be a gem. I'm super excited to return and try some of the products I couldn't get on my first try, and to enjoy the beautiful environment and friendly service once again! read more

Such a great addition to Huntsville! Tried a Qahwtea latte, flatbread, and orange cake, all delicious! Good spices, and not super sweet. Be mindful of the default low sweetness if you prefer sugary drinks. I am happy that they have savory options and not just sweets, though the sweets case looked fabulous. The location is beautiful, and service is friendly, looking forward to trying more of their menu. read more

Stopped here with a group. The interior is stunning. There's a ton of seating but not exactly a lot of parking unless there's some in the back. It's not very clear if the blue painted parking spots are handicap or not. Standing in line waiting for food and coffee, there's no menu showing for coffee. There is for the seasonal and variety drinks so I guess I'm looking online. However when I do look at the menu online there's not really a clear description of what the coffee drinks are. People are either not going to know or ask your staff what each item is. Similarly, if you can add signs to the items in the display case that would be helpful. Asking what each of these items is likely going to delay the ordering process. I'll follow up when I try the food. read more

I have to say this must be one of Huntsvillle hidden gems. This coffee shop was absolutely beautiful inside and very Instagram-able. I came here after a work day and needed caffeine before driving back to Nashville. I absolutely loved that this coffee shop opened late. They had really good coffee and lightly sweetened pasteries. When I had visited I had great service who recommend me which teas to try. read more

This is a must visit coffee shop/ hang out place!Relaxing welcoming atmosphere. Visited it late evening and had to come back for more next morning! Excellent variety of sweets and drinks including traditional Yemeni drinks and western coffee options. Non-dairy creamers is also available. The decor highlights very important historic facts from Yemen including the writings on the walls and statues. We tried Adani drink and red tea. Both done perfect. The owner offered zaater cheese pies which were great too. Next day the Mufawar hits the spot. Bam!! The mango kenafeh parfait is so smooth and rich . Great service and background music choices! Friendly staff! Sunlit, airy shop with comfortable chairs. We really enjoyed our stop! My companions ordered carrot cake and a caramel eclair. I tried both! The carrot cake was perfectly spiced, dense, and had a really lovely texture. The caramel eclair was the perfect small size for a little snack, and while sweeter than expected, very tasty. I had the Qahwtea latte and enjoyed it thoroughly. Will come back! read more

Stopped by on a not so busy Monday afternoon ........first off the menu was down so that was very annoying as I had never been here before and they apparently don't have paper menus just two big TVs. Not a good start. Asked the server for suggestions and got a Qahwtea latte which wasn't bad by any means but nothing special about it either. I've had better and worse. Also got a slice of pistachio swirl cake which looked amazing but was not good at all. Very dry and stale. Lacked flavor. It tasted like the premade roll cakes you would get from a grocery store only much more stale. The cream in it was on par with a food service grade whipped cream. Overly sweet, no flavor. Altogether it was about $12. Not crazy expensive mind you, but definitely not worth that. It was served on a wooden board with a sheet of tissue paper. Not the easiest thing to eat off of and very cumbersome as it was served vertically so I ended up tipping it on its side as it was stale and their was no hope of cutting it with a cheap plastic spoon which was also annoying. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable however. This place definitely doesn't live up to the hype in my opinion. Much better options out there. Would not return nor would I recommend. read more

Great ambiance, wonderful pastry options and while I did not like the tradition coffee with spices , the spanish cortado was exceptional. The team working behind the counter went out of their way to explain the various coffees and were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth checking out. read more

I was really looking forward to trying this but was extremely disappointed. $30 for 2 coffees and 2 snacks. Sadly, everything was substandard. Hot Spanish latte was served cold and in the wrong size smaller cup, even though I paid for a larger size. The iced coffee latte with caramel came without the caramel. Both lattes had little flavor and zero coffee taste. Cheesecake was dry and almost gritty, seemed to have been made with a dry powder mix and with not enough liquid to mix it up properly. White cheese pizza with mint was flavorless and cold. I had to repeat my order 3 times as there was a lot of gossiping going on among the staff and I felt like I was more of an imposition then a valued customer. Went to sit in a chair and it was covered in a gross medley of dried coffee and foam, which looked like it had been there for days. When I went to pick up my order they forgot to give me the pizza, so I had to remind them, again, that I ordered a pizza. Won't be going back and I cannot recommend this place. read more
