We were stopping in Ann Arbor on a way way across 94 and decided to try this place. Unfortunately, thought it would be quick and easy. This was a takeout only establishment and it seemed like they only had a few things on their menu to grab and go, easy right? Unfortunately, there were not that busy but we waited over 40 minutes to get our food. We asked to have the fries reheated as they had been sitting up at the window for 20 minutes prior to the other food. They did make a fresh batch of fries and gave us a free mango lassi but we will not return. The taste definitely not worth the price as well.

4.25 stars = 4.5 for food, 4.0 for overall service/order accuracy. Been here several times to try a variety of their kati rolls, curries and samosa chaat. Every item I've tried is flavorful, filling and delicious, and I especially love (in no particular order) the butter chicken kati roll, the paneer tikka kati roll, the Ann Arbor roll, and the masala egg kati roll...basically they're all fantastic. I enjoyed the samosa chaat too, it's spicy in a way that my mouth is a bit on fire but I just want more. AND their lunch combos and happy hour specials are unbeatable! When that mid-afternoon hankering for a snack strikes, I think of this place often. The only downside is that for me these can be kinda heavy to eat too often, and to eat more than a couple rolls in one sitting (though one can try, but I suppose stuffing myself with kati rolls often is prob not the healthiest either ;) These kati rolls get a thumbs up for reheating too. While the bread portion is best fresh, I've ordered a couple extra rolls before and reheated them the next day and they're still great. I'll mention that a couple times when I ordered over the phone, one of the rolls was incorrect, which is a bit of a ding, though at the end of the day I ate them and they were tasty.

Their kati rolls are great for a quick bite. Their butter chicken and chicken tikka curry are pretty good and flavorful. Very reasonable prices.

The reviews do not lie. If you want a comforting and warm meal, come here! I saw this place on DoorDash my 2nd night in Ann Arbor but did not see them on Doordash the rest of the trip. My hotel was only a 5 min. drive to there so on my last night, I treated myself to some good food. Glad I did. I ordered butter chicken and poutine fries. The gentleman ringing me up wasn't familiar w/ the menu. My order was eventually placed and I had to wait close to 20 min. for it. They seemed to be busy w/ takeout orders. I did see a table for third party delivery services such as DoorDash by the front. It's not a dine-in restaurant and no patio seating. The butter chicken melted my miserable feeling away. I was exhausted w/ work and my eye became irritated on the trip. The chicken was tender and the sauce that was heavenly thick and smooth. The poutine fries (Holy Poutine) was tasty; the chicken was a tad overcooked, leaving some bites to be tougher and chewier but nonetheless, the flavor of each bite overtook that thought. I did not finish the fries. It was a great midnight snack - literally. Def would come back if I were to return to Ann Arbor.

I was around the corner from Curry On running some errands and decided to place an order for carryout for dinner. Ordering on their website was super easy and straightforward. I was given a pick up time of about 25 minutes from the time I ordered so I used the time to hang out in my car in the parking lot and catch up on a podcast. When my time came I popped in and my order was waiting for me on the table. Easy in and easy out. The food was packaged perfectly and when I got home everything was still piping hot. I got the butter chicken, my husband had the chicken rice biryani. Both were delicious and very reasonably priced. I did, however, wish my butter chicken had a bit more chicken with it. It had a ton of sauce and a generous amount of rice but I would have liked more protein. It would be great if they offered an upgrade of extra meat or one size up. I love to have leftovers when I order out. We also got paratha, naan and raita, and my husband got a samosa and it was all delicious. They seem to have really great lunch specials (like Kati roll combos) that I'm excited to try next time!

I would give them a 5 but portions were a little small but the flavor was amazing. The masala fries with spicy ketchup is outstanding.

Unfortunately, due to the rainy weather, they weren't offering the buffet that day. The three of us opted to order a la carte and squeezed into a comfortable booth. While glancing at the menu, I noticed entire pages dedicated to dosas, biriyanis, and Indo-Chinese dishes. In hindsight, we probably should've gotten at least one dish from each section, but we weren't really in the mood for dosas or the Indo-Chinese entrees at the time. GARLIC NAAN - 3.49 The garlic naan is a must-order. Each order comes with four quarter pieces, and I honestly could've eaten the entire basket myself. It's topped with plenty of minced garlic and is flavorful enough to enjoy on its own. PANEER TIKKA MASALA - 14.99 The tikka masala leaned heavily on the creamy side and was much less tomato-forward than I prefer -- savory with very little tomato sweetness. There were a few small pieces of tomato, onion, and possibly peppers, along with the paneer. While the paneer was good, there weren't many pieces overall. I enjoyed the dish, but I would've preferred a more tomato-based curry. VIJAYAWADA CHICKEN BIRYANI - 15.99 Highly recommended by our trusted source and echoed by multiple Yelp reviews, this was easily the star of our meal. The rice was fragrant and packed with aromatics, and the chicken was cut very small, almost minced. It was incredibly flavorful and unapologetically spiced, unlike many Indian restaurants in the area that tone things down for the American palette. This biryani did not hold back. While I generally prefer bite-sized chicken for the texture, I can see how the finely chopped chicken absorbs the spice better and distributes the flavor more evenly throughout the rice. That said, I do wish there had been more chicken overall so every bite included some. GOAT KORMA - 17.99 This was a pretty standard, nutty, creamy korma. Unfortunately, most of the goat pieces were very bony, with some pieces being straight up bone. I felt a bit cheated since this is a pricier entree. My friend has a much higher spice tolerance palette than his wife and me, so I only had a few bites before returning to milder dishes. Overall, this is probably the most spice-forward Indian restaurant I've been to in this area, and it genuinely felt like all of my taste buds were waking up with every bite. I highly recommend the Vijayawada Chicken Biryani, especially if you've never had it before, as it's not something I see often at Indian restaurants. The flavors are phenomenal, and next time I'll be back for a lassi, a dosa, and one of their Indo-Chinese dishes.

Ordered some dinner for takeout and it was delicious!…read more Their samosa are a good size and such a nice texture. The egg masala is very good and their spice is on point (my "medium" was perfect. Love the option of the egg, and it came with 3 eggs in the sauce. Their garlic naan is very good, it's one big flatbread cut into two pieces. Nice flavor and the dough still has some bite to it -- not too soft or too crispy. I'd like to dine in sometime for a legit dosa experience -- the photos look awesome. :) Love this option is in our neighborhood, and they are super friendly. A great Indian spot on this side of Ann Arbor.
