    BBQ platter

This is a takeout restaurant. Highly recommend calling ahead as it takes time to get your food. We are not from the area so we tend to stop here when we need to be in the metro Detroit area. We ordered the large BBQ platter which had a little bit of everything, including naan and raita. I do think it came with too much rice especially when compared to the amount of meat but everything tasted great, despite us driving 2hrs back home to eat it.

Kolachi Kichen has a more limited menu, but it packs a flavor punch! My coworker picked up lunch for us during a busy day. They were out of the item I had initially wanted, so I opted for an order of beef samosas and chicken seekh kabab. The smell was heavenly! I'm surprised my coworker made it back without diving in! The seekh kabab was full of meat, so flavorful and perfectly spiced. I asked for mild spice. The beef samosas were packed with beef and super crispy. They were a bit greasy but the flavor was strong and delicious. Those were a bit spicier. Even with a limited menu, I was really impressed with their cuisine. They also have a Ramadan menu for the holiday which I think is perfect. I will absolutely be returning!

Chicken Karahi with lots of oil. 4/5 star reviews of this restaurant are definitely fake

The restaurant opened late 11:10 am as opposed to their stated time of 11am. They mentioned they were short staffed because one of their employees quit. All in all the person behind the counter was very courteous. However, the food came out super slow. Ordered at 11:19am and received at 12:15pm. I ordered two Halwa Puris, Bun Kabab, and Chicken Karahi. The chicken karahi, halwa and the aloo ki tarkari were swimming in oil. The oil to tarkari ratio seemed 1:1 (see attached picture). The shami kabab in the bun kabab was undercooked (see picture) and didn't taste very good. The naan that came with Chicken Karahi was not from the restaurant tandoor but from a Desi super market (see picture). The Chicken Karahi also lacked in taste. Almost seemed like they had boiled chicken separately and then used tomato paste etc to create the dish. Not really how you make Karahi. If the owners of this restaurant are to present authentic Pakistani food, the quality needs to improve exponentially. The food needs to be made with love and without a ton of oil and super market naans are a definite no-no.

I originally came here thinking this was Afghan food because of a sign I saw up front. Turned out it used to be one, but has since changed ownership and serves Pakistani food. It's a family owned operation from what I gather, and the space is easy to miss since it's not visible off the main road. I figured I would try a basic beef kabob with rice and "salad". I put the word salad in quotations because what actually came with my order was a moderate amount of sliced red onions. I enjoy red onions with my meal, don't get me wrong, but when it says salad on the menu I expect an actual salad. Having said that the food was delicious and I found the lady who took my order to be quite friendly and helpful in navigating the menu. I do want to warn anyone who decides to order from here that it is wise to call ahead and place it. When I ordered in person it took a half hour to get my food and I was the only one there at the time. They make everything from scratch and take their time so this ain't quick in-n-out, but the results are worth it.

I drove over an hour in heavy rain to eat at this place. The staff was wonderful and attentive. Food took a while since it was so fresh. The only thing was issues with seating but i guess that's mainly due covid

Super delicious. Paratha roll with chicken. I ate half before I snapped the pic.

It's well worth the drive too! We were staying at a hotel in Ypsilanti and after careful research I found this place in Canton. They have a simple straight forward menu but they can make anything for catering and the like. This is a quaint little mom and pop place that's serving up the best Lahori desi food we've had in a long time! The sesame naan tasted like roghni nana with real ghee on the top and brought back my fond memories of having it in Lahore long ago. This was the closet to Lahore roghni naan we've had ever in over 25 years!! They was so good we ordered 20 to take back home with us as you're not going to find this flavor and quality anywhere in US! The tandoori chicken was melt in your mouth magnificent as they make their own spice blend that I won't forget! The goat biryani and chicken karahi was so good that we couldn't stop eating even though we were full. The goat was plentiful, tender and flavorful. The owners Ali & Aisha are very welcoming and you almost feel like you're at your Auntie's or at home. They make everything themselves. Very generous portions of everything at a really good price! The chutney was a nice accompaniment to the entrees as well. When was the last time you had a true authentic samosa with jovaan (carom seed) in the crust?!! Nothing was a bit oily but packed with unique and familiar flavors. Aisha just made a fresh batch of rus malai desert and it was like biting into puffy light delicious pillows. I sure wish they had their place in my state. This place is one for my record books of "Best Pakistani food places in the USA"! Small place but mighty Desi Daag! Thanks so much Ali & Aisha for the beautiful food experience at your place; Tandoori Corner!!

It's a small spot with limited booths. Ordered Tandoori Chicken, it comes with Naan or Rice as side. Expected it to be in the curry consistency seeing the sides but it was dry. Chicken was perfectly cooked and the Naan that came along tasted fresh. Decent packaging, I had mentioned to include cutlery when placing the order but they did not include them. The cashier or the owner sounded so rude. The price didn't match the portions. Customer service can be better.

This place is as authentic as it gets for a good home cooked Pakistani food!…read more If you've never had Pakistani food a great place to start is Nihari which is the national dish of Pakistan. Nihari is a slow cooked beef shank stew that's cooked for 6 hours which makes it so soft it pulls apart, but the best part is the gravy which goes perfectly with some garlic naan or even regular naan because it soaks up all the flavor from the gravy. My second favorite dish I've had here is the highway chicken karhai. The reason why the highways in Pakistan are so famous for having some of the best food is because people in Pakistan believe that truck drivers in Pakistan should have the best food due to their very long journeys along the highway. Therefore the highway chicken karhai here is an absolutely kicker of a dish packed with robust flavor and it's cooked in a wok which is the most traditional way to enjoy karhai. It goes really well with a tawa paratha which is a traditional fried bread on a pan or a puri which is a deep fried soft bread. If you're not sure what to try the first time they also have a buffet on Saturday and Sunday where they have a variety of dishes you can try. This also includes Payas (goat heel curry) which is a Pakistani delicacy and goes great with naan. When you walk in you'll see lots of small traditional items and artwork that are a huge part of the Pakistani culture like the rickshaws and paintings on the wall of some of the most iconic places in Pakistan like the tomb of Jinnah who is the founder of Pakistan. Overall, as a person who's from that part of the world I'd say this place definitely takes me back to my childhood! I will be visiting more often!

We arrived early at dinner time on a recent weekend and were promptly greeted by a friendly employee who encouraged us to take any seat we wanted to. I was a little disappointed in the dessert selection; I love gulab jamun and was hoping they would have it but all they had was a mango custard (it was good but I wanted something sweeter). All of the food was good bordering on great; my standards for Indian food are pretty high and this place met them. I thought the spice level was good - not horribly spicy but definitely had a kick to some dishes. Would have been nice to have a lamb dish but understand they have to cater to vegetarians too. The place itself is nice although the lighting was a little dark in my opinion. They were great about refilling water, clearing plates, and checking in. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Would return!
