The glowing reviews are all LEGIT! This is the real deal! My brakes had been squeaking for a while, and the usual spot where I get my car washed and oil changed by my office told me that the rear brake pads were going out and that I should replace them soon. When it was a good day to bring my car in and I had the funds, they were closed! I'm driving on a long trip this weekend and wanted to make sure my car was safe and good to go. Curtis is AMAZING. If I could, I would give him 10 out of 5 stars! He's honest, fast, very reasonable and just a great person. Very rare to find when it comes to mechanics!! The dealership told me I needed $3K worth of repairs to my car. I am a woman, which makes me paranoid that they are trying to scam me. Well, I was right because Curtis told me they were full of crap! He told me I didn't need everything they were trying to sell me. He ended up replacing my rear brakes, spark plugs and gasket in 4 hours. It was so convenient because he fixed my car in the garage where I work so I didn't have to deal with the hassle of renting a car or taking an uber. I work in West LA and he had no problem going there from DTLA. In addition, he walked me through everything the dealer claimed was wrong by popping the hood of my car and shining a flashlight inside. Curtis is the man. Guy knows everything there is to know about cars, and can diagnose problems with a vehicle in his sleep. Before I found Curtis, I went to another mechanic shop for a quote on a rack and pinion issue. I found Curtis and let's just say his rate put the other shop to absolute shame. He will come to you if you need him to which is super convenient. My truck is getting old but with Curtis's maintenance it runs like new. Curtis is fantastic. There is no sales pitch, no sneaky stuff. He tells you the truth, shows you what's happening with your car (if you're curious to learn like I am) and fixes it. The price he quotes on the phone is reasonable and he sticks to it. In fact, I described the problem, he told me the parts I needed, and he was 100% right. He also pointed out things I should be aware of, air filters and such, and made suggests for things to keep in mind for the future to avoid a problem. Beyond his expertise, Curtis is a gentleman. Wow what an amazing guy Curtis is! Called him cus I had a bad starter and he showed up by the end of the day. He diagnosed the problem quickly and got to work. The best bonus is that Curtis played some amazing jams while he was working. Check out Maxwell's song "Lake by the Ocean" if you don't believe me. I have never had the desire to yelp before. Had been calling people for two days. One place, wanted me to bring my 21 y.o. Mercedes Benz, in NOT good condition, to his shop and pay him $830, for a job whose parts cost $200. STUMBLED on Curtis when in absolute desperation, I started clicking through google and got to yelp. Called him, he said he could install a new alternator and S belt for me.. He picked up the parts. When he arrived, he went right to work. A few minutes later he says, "want a snack?" He then goes in his truck, hands me a cold bottle of water and a tin of large chocolate chip cookies from Jack In The Box. I shit you not. Lol. He goes back to it, charges my battery, I'm up and running in about 25 mins. I only had cash on me for the parts. I am being generous in giving Mr. Curtis 2 stars because he was pleasant enough on the phone. I made a Pre Purchase Inspection Appt with Mr. Curtis yesterday 12-3-18 that was not kept "and" he did not call to advise me. OK chance #2 - I made a rescheduled appt with him to be at the car lot at 10:30am on 12-4-18, @ 11:00am he still wasn't there and no phone call. I made clear to Mr. Curtis that I could not purchase vehicle until I recvd his report so there was no sense of urgency on his part to assist me with this goal. I just fired him and made arrangements to take the vehicle to another mechanic for a Pre Purchase Inspection. Maybe he was just off his game - having a bad week, but at any rate I was not happy with his service. read more

This wonderful man came out, diagnosed the problem on our not-running-for-three-years garaged 1956 Nash Metropolitan, then returned on a later date to replace the part in question with the new one we'd purchased; and he charged so little that I actually paid him a little more for his time. He did a great job, was very honest and fair, and was super-sweet to boot. Total out-the-door cost for Curtis' labor plus the new part was roughly the cost it would've been to tow it to our vintage-car mechanic even before the repair. I highly recommend! Curtis is really more of a superhero than an auto mechanic. I was stranded 125 miles from home with a 15-year-old Honda which had chosen the worst possible time to die. My husband was visiting LA for a symphony when the car stopped working. I found Curtis on yelp and he was able to get out to where my husband was stuck and fix the car, all in under 3.5 hours. My husband even got to catch the second half of the symphony! All this on a Saturday night!! Curtis is a little angel sent from auto heaven. The power steering failed in my '94 Pontiac and there was an intense burning smell. I was able to park my car on a residential street, but street cleaning was early Monday morning (the next day), and no body shops around were open on a Sunday. Plus, towing just 3 miles would have cost an extra $200. Curtis came out within 2 hours of my call (Sunday night), inspected the problem, found the part(s), and by the time I got back from a dinner out, it was running and as good as new. Well, my faith in humanity has been restored. My trusted '94 Nissan Pathfinder suddenly wouldn't start - on Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend. I thought it folly to try and get it towed to a mechanic and repaired for use over the weekend, but at least I could get the issue diagnosed and prepare myself for the pending task next week. Unicorns and mobile mechanics both seem like such good ideas, if only in imagination, but I decided to try anyway. Pleased by the amount of results, I made a selection based on proximity to the location of my truck. I made a call on Sunday (!) to Curtis Complete Mobile Auto Repair explaining the situation and left a message not expecting a response until Tuesday due to the holiday. To my pleasant surprise, Mr. Nash returned my call Sunday afternoon and we arranged an appointment for late Monday morning. Curtis arrived as agreed in a loaded Chrysler minivan. Within 30 minutes he had diagnosed and methodically traced the problem to a blown fuse (this included a physical check of battery and starter power). During the process, he described each task in process and the next step to take if it failed. Curtis is very professional and friendly, amiable like he's been my mechanic for years. He charged a more than reasonable rate; so reasonable for the work that it would not be fair to post. I have asked him to work on other auto projects I have pending in the future. (SIGH) This should be so unnecessary in America, in the year 2015, but I think it responsible to note that Mr Nash is a middle aged black man. I state this because his is a mobile business which means he comes to your location upon request. He'll be prepared upon arrival, you should be too. read more

Fantastic communication and service. I called around all through New Year's weekend asking for places for quotes and times, and Curtis was the only one who picked up the phone. He had the service done before anyone else had even responded to my voicemails. In addition to taking care of the valve cover gasket that need replacing, he helped clean a few things up and help with the check engine light. He quoted an hour, and was done even quicker. After picking my car up from a valet, I could barely change the gears to make it home. I had to literally push it into my garage space. I found Curtis on Yelp and decided a mobile mechanic would spare the cost of a tow to the repair shop. I could not have made a better decision! Curtis showed up on time and was very proficient in diagnosing the problem. He tried to spare me the expense of a whole new clutch, but after installing some new parts, it was not to be avoided. Curtis is still the best. My battery light came on Friday, he came by on Sunday, fixed it in an hour, and had by far the best price I'd seen anywhere. Everywhere else quoted me at least $300 for alternator replacement, whereas I paid $225, and he took far less time than any shop would as well. Not only that, but I had a scuff on my bumper, and he cleaned that off too. If you live in the Los Angeles area and have car trouble and don't call Curtis, you're a fool. read more

Curtis is the man! My 2012 kia optima started randomly stalling on my way to work. I Made it to my next destination and my car wouldn't even turn on upon leaving. I knew it was around the time to replace my battery which wasnt the end of the world, so I called AAA and turns out it was actually my starter. They couldnt help me so they ended up towing it. I called Kia and they told me the starting rate for what I needed done would cost upwards of $750 and they couldn't fit me in that day but they would get to it within the next few. I called another local shop and was quoted $400 to fix the starter I currently had. They didn't offer replacements. I stumbled upon Curtis' add on yelp and after reading all of the great reviews I decided to test my luck. Curtis quoted me at $280, new parts and labor included. I was shocked. He met me right in the garage and had everything he needed in his van. He was very friendly & even had a chair ready for me. He propped up my car and went to work. After about 2 hours, the job was done and my car was running smoothly. I was blessed to have found someone as fair & cost effective as him.
