Great shop, great management, and fair prices! Sergio was awesome, super easy to talk to and honest about the realistic needs for my vehicle. I'll be headed back soon to have them do that work they quoted me on. Do not bring your car here. They overcharge and do not fix the problem. I brought my vehicle here to fix the gas pump and they charged me $1600 and they did not fix it. I took my car in and 3 weeks later, my car broke down again for the same thing. I let them know and they refused to fix it, even with the 2 month warranty. They blamed me and said it was because I didn't put gas but I did. So they refused to fix it. I took my car somewhere else, and they fixed the gas pump With no issue. I have had no problems now. Took my car to LA Auto Center because my check engine light came on. They quoted me $1,900 to fix it. I told them that price was insane and that I'd be taking my car somewhere else. Like magic, immediately after that, the guy calls me back and suddenly the price drops to $1,500. If you can knock off $400 that fast, the original quote was complete bullshit. Clearly just testing to see if I'd swallow an inflated number. What really pissed me off is they held my car for FOUR DAYS and did absolutely nothing. No repairs, no progress, just wasted my time while they tried to figure out how much more money they could squeeze out of me. On top of that, they misdiagnosed the issue and wanted to order extra parts "just in case," which of course means more charges. Classic upsell scam. They also dangle the AAA discount like it's some huge favor, but it's a joke. They overcharge you first, then pretend they're giving you a deal by lowering the price. I only came here because I moved nearby, and pass them everyday, and my trusted longtime shop is waaaay in Hawthorne, CA -- getting to and from there is a PITA, and sometimes they don't even have space to take your car, in contrast LA Auto Center is a 10ish minute walk from my house and they said "Come on". Originally went for regular maintenance on my 2 cars. The my AC went out on my Honda and they fixed it quickly and at a reasonable price. The I started having poor fuel mileage and CEL on my Hyundai Santa Fe. It ended up being a Catalytic Converter issue which they attempted to clean -- and that went well for a while, but they told me upfront it may not be a permanent fix and I was ok with that. The issues returned and the diagnosed the car and quoted me for an entire replacement of the CAT --- the price was high in general, but of all of the shops I got a quote from, they were the most reasonable. I ended up getting a new car before getting it repaired though. They are friendly... very friendly. My daughter likes going to their shop with me. Very communicative -- kept me updated and answered all of my questions. Great waiting room. It's bright and CLEAN inside. I think I've found my new shop. read more

My driver side door was having issues closing and locking -- a very stressful situation being that it would've just opened while driving unless I tied it down to my seat as a safety anchor. I went in to see them at about 10am in the morning and they were able to complete the job by 2:38pm. I expected it to be close to around 4pm so they exceeded my expectations. I had great conversations with Sergio and laughed quite a lot. Enjoyed some peppermint tea in the waiting room and he even let me borrow an umbrella to take with me as I walked back to my place to stall time as the work was being done (I live within walking distance gratefully). Once the job was done they told me the price of it all and it seemed quite reasonable from my research about this particular car part they installed and the process it took. But unfortunately I didn't have enough in my account at the moment to pay it full. Luckily Sergio and David set me up with SNAP Finance where I could apply for a small loan to make payments on the bill. What a relief.
