We came from a high maintenance property in Newport Beach, but had no idea what we were getting ourselves into when it came to the 4 seasons on a river. Yesterday, they were working at my next door neighbors house, cleaning the leaves. I cleaned my leaves weeks ago. Since then, leaves have blown in from the front of their house (near the curb), to mine. I asked the guy if he could remove the leaves. It would have taken him under 2 minutes to use his huge commercial blower and push the leaves off of my curb to the huge pile he was making. The employee was rude, and pointed to the property line. I explained in Spanish, that the leaves came from his customers property. He rolled his eyes and walked away. I called the office, and a woman told me she would call the crew and make them remove the leaves. Nothing happened. What a lousy way to represent yourself as a company! My request was small, and beyond reasonable. I should have been accommodated. In conclusion, I never would have gone as far to write this review if the woman in the office did not tell me that she would take care of this. read more

We hired Curti's in the spring of 2022 for a complete landscape design post construction. Initially when hired, the response time was great and we were promised the world. We signed a hefty contract and things quickly started going downhill. First, we were told that we needed to add drainage which they didn't realize originally to the tune of a whopping $20,000! To spare all the back and forths over the past year, we now have sod (carpet grass) over only HALF of our property, our arborvitaes (all 100 feet of them) are so sparse they need to be replaced, the drainage is so bad we have pools of water after every rainstorm. Worst of all, not a single person in the company has been responding to our calls. The only communication we've had from them over the past month was a maintenance contract proposal for an obscene amount of money for the kind of problems they've left us with. I was looking to get a quote on seeding, removing a retaining wall and installing some gravel. Nothing fancy. I've tried to get a quote but the rep that came out will not get back to me. I can understand they're busy, but I'd rather he just tell me that instead of me calling them to track down a quote. I left several messages and I've heard the same response from the people answering the phone. I'm guessing the lack of response is indicative of what I'd get if I hired them, so I'll keep looking. Absolutely absurd price for the work completed. Had to call them back to finish work that should have been done correctly the first visit. All of our weeds returned as they simply tossed mulch over the top in our beds. They did not dig out weeds or lay landscaping fabric to deter future weeds. What a disappointment from a large company who I'm certain could do better if they cared. read more

Hired this company to do spring/fall cleaning and weekly grass cutting. They were great at the sale and I felt due to their size, they would be more responsible than other smaller landscaping companies. Once they started servicing the property, it was a nightmare. Not only are they overpriced relative to any other landscaping company in the area they also ruined my lawn. Totally destroyed it to the point where it needs substantial work next season. Their guys would come after huge rainfalls and mow the lawn, pulling out the grass and making my lawn look like a bunch of kids drove quads all over it. The worst part is that after complaining they promised to not do it again only to do it again the following week. They nickel and dime you for any small service and their prices are astronomical for no reason whatsoever. Do yourself a favor, save your lawn and avoid Curti's at all costs. read more

There are a bunch of better alternatives in the Rockland/Bergen County Area. They installed an irrigation system for me and did not inform me of the required service on it. Two years later (and not surprisingly) just past warranty, the system needed to be fixed upon which time they charged me for it. It took a manager over a month to get back to me to discuss this situation and when he did he basically said tough luck. If you want to do business with people like this go ahead. I prefer people who stand by their product and don't nickel and dime you. read more

We have been using Curti's for years now. Our crew does a wonderful job; they are extremely hard-working and professional and courteous. What do they do: spring and fall clean-up, weekly mowing, mulching and edging. The office staff is on the ball as well. If there are ever any issues, the are promptly dealt with. Had them for years. They have become way to big and commercialized and not a company for the average home owner anymore. Prices are very high compared to any of the average neighborhood landscapers. Guys were done in 20 minutes and began running out the clock sitting under a tree out front for another 20 minutes or more. Still managed to get billed extra time for anything besides mowing. Fall cleanup cost 700 dollars and was reluctantly done after many calls. It took two guys one visit in a couple of hours on the day of our first snowfall and that's with town picking up leaves curbside mid January. We were the only house within two blocks that had not yet cleaned up our lawn. Got so upset I put it all on video just in case they think I'm making this up for some reason. Didn't realize how expensive they were until I started looking for a new service. Goodbye Curti's, enjoy all those new corporate accounts. I'm sure we will manage cutting grass and raking leaves without you. read more
