$6.24 for two sausage patties, potatoes and grits

This is a cafeteria style restaurant. The food is okay, not something I'd drive back for. But service was good and the staff are friendly. I didn't get a receipt, but later checked online for the transaction. It was $6.24 for two sausage patties, a side of potatoes and side of grits (no drink). Not too bad.

Biscuits with sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, bacons, and tater tots with orange cranberry muffin. Yum.

Enjoyed the breakfast at Curt's this morning. I've been wanting to try this place out as I love the breakfast food the best. It's a traditional cafeteria style where you tell the staff what you want on your plate as you pass through a line. Everything was delicious and I totally like the freshly baked from scratch biscuits. And yes the nice and friendly staff work there.

We went here for breakfast. It has a buffet style breakfast with country home cooked food. The place has a country feel to it and everyone pretty much calls you "hun". The buffet for breakfast was the only option you had other than ordering individual items from the buffet to go. They had traditional southern breakfast items like grits, eggs, sausage, ham, etc. Pricing wasn't too bad at around $8 a person. The food was pretty good, but then again, i'm not a fan of buffets. The staff is very friendly and take care of you and see that your coffee stays full. I would go again if I was in the area, but I wouldn't make go out of my way to eat here.

    BOMB banana pudding :)

Country cooking at its best. Get there early for breakfast as the dining room and drive-thru will be busy. Has been operating forever.

Good food. Local people. Big portions are served up. If you leave hungry it's your own fault.

They overcharged me several times. Quality of food is poor to nasty at best. You will end up overpaying for nasty food.

I love the sausage egg and cheese biscuit! Truly the only reason I go. I don't recommend their hash-browns and I'm a huge potato fan :/

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by an employee. She asked if we'd ever been there before. And being the tourists that we were, we told her that we hadn't. She explained that it was a cafeteria style and that we'd order with her and move down the line and pay. OK, cool. So, we ordered with her. But nothing got dished up. The orders went to the back to get made. Not a big deal. Just a little confusing. The other two members of my party ordered first and moved down the line but there was nobody at the register so they found a seat. By the time I made it down someone was there and we managed to get it figured out. The food took a minute but finally came out. There seemed to be some confusion in getting orders delivered but we eventually got our food. Again, not cafeteria style at all. The food was delivered to our table. All in all it was fine. The food was really pretty good. One the pricey side for what you get but that's everything in Helen. I feel like we might not have caught them on their best day. I'd return.

Crossroads Bar & Grille in Flowery Branch just nailed two lunch classics better than most places…read moreI've tried--the Cuban and the Reuben are absolute winners. Stopped in at 5900 Spout Springs Rd for a casual lunch and left seriously impressed. These sandwiches aren't just thrown together; they're loaded and executed perfectly. The Cuban (marinated pork loin, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, spicy mustard, and pickles on a toasted hoagie roll) was a flavor bomb. Look at that cross-section--juicy, tender pork layered thick with ham, melty cheese, and that perfect pickle crunch cutting through the mustard kick. The bread toasted up golden and held everything together without getting soggy. Paired it with fries and a side of ketchup, and it felt like something straight out of a great Cuban spot. Huge portions that actually satisfy. The Classic Reuben on toasted marbled rye was equally stacked: thinly sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss, and 1000 Island dressing. The bread had that ideal crisp exterior with a soft bite, and the fillings were generous and well-balanced--no dry bites here. Came with crispy fries and a side of creamy sauce that tied it all together beautifully. Service was friendly and quick, the atmosphere is that perfect relaxed neighborhood vibe (great for watching a game or just catching up), and the prices are fair for the quality and size you get. In a world full of average bar sandwiches, Crossroads delivers the real deal with fresh ingredients and obvious care. Whether you're craving the tangy, savory Reuben or the bright, porky Cuban, both hit the spot hard. I'll definitely be back. If you're in Flowery Branch, do not sleep on these sandwiches. Highly recommend--5 stars.
